The fact that the Constitution speaks of possible "high crimes and misdemeanors" of the president as cause for his removal should preclude the notion of any immunity, even for official acts, otherwise all those "high crimes and misdemeanors" could just be done officially with impunity.
That still stands. You just can't question if the motive is criminal or official, nor use any documents or notes written by or for the President, nor ask direct witnesses to testify against him...or look at or ntroduce any evidence whatsoever.
But obviously if he commits a crime that's still illegal 😂
Republican SCOTUS broke the law even taking on the immunity case in the first place: SCOTUS had no authority to take up or weigh in on an "immunity case" at all: The Constitution guarantees presidents DO NOT have immunity. If a president had immunity, impeachment of a president (Congress) and removal of a president (Senate) would not exist. They DO exist as clearly stated, and exercised, in the Constitution. Presidents do NOT have immunity by that fact, ALONE. Trump's corrupt Republican SCOTUS has already violated the Constitution by even considering "ruling" on this, ALONE.

Here in Germany, we have term limits of 12 years for our Supreme Court justices, even the Chief Justice. Two years ago, the old Chief Justice retired after his stint and returned to bring a federal judge, it was on the news networks, for about 1 minute and that was it.

The first step, in my opinion is to back & support Alexandria Occasio'Cortez's attempt to bring forth by Congress an attempt to impeach Supreme Court Justices due to bias . lack of impartiality & corruption. Now it gets real.

We have 4 months to be proactive with Our Voices, VOTES, Flyers, downloading clips in favor of Our Democracy, getting people registered to Vote, working on Democrats Champaign, driving people to Voting booths..etc. Be Proactive
Pretty much the same for me. I'm at this point just waiting to see how the arguments go for which camp I end up in. After all, I am disabled _and_ queer so where oh where will I be sorted to?

Perjury during confirmation hearings to become a judge should be punishable. Many on the SCOTUS said much different things during confirmation hearings.
They all said in their confirmation hearings that "a president is not above the law." I think, however, that if pressed, they would still say a president is not above the law, but rather, alongside the law. In either case, I think what we need to say is not that a president is not above or beside the law, but rather every person, president or not, is constrained/ bound to abide by the law.
