I'm 50 now but raced a Kyosho Ultima with some success up to when I was about 18, so probably 1985-1991. Raced at a number of clubs all over the UK, including the Indoor Champs at Crystal Palace. Won a number of nice trophies. The Ultima was such a nice car and had such a lot of aftermarket parts available. I still have mine buried away in the loft somewhere :)
Rescue that bad boy please and have some fun. Thanks for sharing.😊
Would've had even more success with a RC10.
The JJ is my new fave 2wd buggy. Its so nice to drive on the track, i cant wait till its summer and get it out on the grass track. If your going to run these they need the slipper backing off a fair bit. Keep up the great content 👍
Hey there my friend. Yeah I knew the Ultima would be a great runner but my goodness it was better than that. Love it so much. So I’m loving your channel and I gotta get a Optimus Prime Lego myself now lol! Wish you a happy 2024! 🙏
@@LukesVintageRC haha yeah you do indeed, my childhood hero 😁 have a great one 👍
Beautiful buggy Luke, another great video, the quality of this buggy is awesome !
Truly appreciate you bud. 🙏
Very nice car! I was thinking the same thing as I was watching this....the sound the car makes is so 80's with the brushed motor. Takes me back! I'm getting ready to paint my "spare parts" Ultima white. I only have one can of Tamiya white. Hoping that will be enough to paint the shell and the wing. Great video Luke!
I’m excited for you bud, you should be fine w/one can as long it’s not pearl white. Thanks 😊
Awesome! I figured one was good, but this is the first time I've used Tamiya white.@@LukesVintageRC
Looks awesome Luke!😃👍
Thanks buddy 😊
This looks great Luke
Thanks Thad, it was great time.
ran into the same issue with the wing, but let the sides just be missing some, I did think of wedging something in there to widen the gap, , great build and review, nice find on that motor, nice driving also
Paint brush is helpful
I’ve got one of the vintage trinity jmj motors in my vintage lunchie shelf queen
Awesomeness buddy
Hi ya Luke. I often watch videos on my lounge room big screen and can't leave a comment there, so I need to jump on my desk top. Great to see you content as always my friend.
Hello Jason, great to hear from you. Excited for 2024 and especially what your bringing into this year. Thank you so much. Godbless
Beautiful buggy. I have 2 of the 17x3 Trinity JJ motors in my collection. One with the black label and one with the green label.
That’s awesome! Thanks for sharing and watching.👍
Luke, keep the videos coming!
Why thanks Mike.😊
Way to go Luke that JJ is a stunner 👍👍
Truly appreciate it buddy.😊
Hi Luke! Awesome video by the way. Did a great job on your Ultima. What kind of Trinity motor did you use? Thanks!
Jay buddy, it’s a the middle part of the video I believe. Let me know if you need anything else.
Hey bud did your body at front of chassis sit on the chassis. Im having difficulty getting it to sit flat on chassis. Seems like the body mount is too high
Apparently the body mount hole wasn’t opened up properly?
...with the wing yall prob have to prob air brush it into corners
Possibly, definitely gonna give it try with another one eventually. Thanks 😊
You swapped out ball diffs for gear diffs, why? What’s the technical reason? I understand dirt is loose and carpet is high traction. Why do gear diffs work better for high traction and ball diffs work better for low traction?
Howdy dude Chris, nothing was swapped out on this rc channel still ball differential. I think you kinda answered your own question about diffs. lol!

Hi, could be your body needs the body mount hole opened?
