So Fascinating! Joseph of Arimethia is said to be Jesus' uncle. He was a Tin Trader who brought Jesus to Britain when Jesus was young, teenager and/or in his 20's. Their names are in the shipping logs in Britain to this day. "Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, i suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written within." John 21:25 🕊❤✝️
How cool is that! I haven’t heard of that before. Thank you for sharing. He is recorded as performing other miracles in some of the other books like the Gospel of the Ebionites. I believe it!
@@Psalm_9394 Yes. I do believe He traveled to Asia. There are manuscripts & journals that monks have of meeting Jesus Christ. We know He was in Egypt from a toddler, like 2 years old bcuz Herod was trying to kill Him, so he had all boys 2 years old & younger murdered. There are writings in Egypt by the people who met Jesus. His family was very wealthy from the many Wise Men who gave them Gold enough for a King.
No historical fact of antiquity is so well documented, evidenced archaeologically, scrutinized, and vindicated as the ministry, persecution, crucifixion, death, and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth the Christ. Given that he fulfilled centuries of Scriptural prophecy, he most certainly is who he claimed to be: the eternal Son of the Father and God almighty. Truly, no one can say he did not know Jesus is Christ, only that he denies this truth in unrighteousness. Repent and trust in Christ.
Thank you so much for your posts. I grew up catholic and went to a catholic school and I wrote Bible knowledge as a subject for my finals. The choice was French or Bible and since Bible involved a book it was no contest. The bible has always been there for me to read and study. It's mystery is a magnet to me. Im 61 years old now and since the internet came out I have been lucky enough to come across so much information that corroborates everything in the bible. To me it's not about believing it anymore but a SURE KNOWLEDGE that Christ is the Lord and our saviour
Amen! It’s amazing how much we can learn with access to the internet that only adds to what we know about the Bible! I’m glad you enjoy the content. Thank you for watching and commenting! God bless you. 🙏
The evil.one has done nothing but confuse dismiss snd deny the existence of Our Lord since the beginning why would it be any different now. But Our Lord has promised us everything will be revealed and in these end times the truth is unfolding ❤️🔥🙏
It is neat, isn’t it! I love reading the different accounts. It just gives more truth to the matter, not that we need it but knowing it’s there is so neat to be able to read!
They can write and document the account of the death and resurrection... Of ...Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ....but if you have Faith...none of that really matters. Just read the Bible and Pray and ask Him for mercy.
Lord Jesus Christ please i beg you have mercy on me a sinner. My old nature at war with Holy Spirit. Please help me overcome my old nature and live a Holy Righteous life for Your glory and honor forever and ever amen. My life is Your's forever Lord Jesus Christ and no matter where i go You are with me for all eternity and I am a child of God..Thank you Lord Jesus Christ for all you have done for me. I love and adore you Lord Jesus Christ forever and ever amen
Wise and learned Christian’s who were much closer to the time of Jesus life, had much more resources and knowledge, and decided then what writings were genuine and which were not. The Bible stands the test of time as it is. It needs nothing else to convey the message of salvation through the risen god man Jesus
Actually, before the Bible, there was the Didache, provided to the Apostles by Jesus Himself. Thereafter, it was the extensive writings of the Apostles and Apostolic Fathers who taught AS JESUS TAUGHT THEM. These are the teachings that carry far more weight than the New Testament Bible, which came long after these earlier writings. Sadly, the New Testament Bible itself eventually fell into the hands of men like Martin Luther, who chose to reinterpret the scriptures according to their modernist desires. To accept your view would be like accepting the view of the Communist/Marxist Movement that is quickly destroying society and Christianity (in America and throughout the world today) by denying truth.
To add, People who were righteous came to life from their graves when Jesus died his last breath. So I can see this account is accurate according to Paul and Peter testimony later on in book of Acts similar situation
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. 7 “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.” St. John 14 Amen ~~~ Be Safe out there ~ Peace & Health to Us All ~ Thank You, GOD Bless and Keep Us All.
This is the text from which we get the name of the Centurion. Longinus. It’s a well known 4th century text and the trial section is heavily based on the Gospel of Luke. Biblical plagiarism by a 4th century author basically.
It's politely termed a gloss, correcting a perceived mistake in retrospect. There's another at the start of the Gospel of Mark (missing from an earlier text found in the Essene scrolls suppressed by the Vatican in the mid 20th Century) as well as in the only mention of Jesus in Josephus. The puzzle is to identify the real person with that cognomen, the heir of David, as Jesus (Joshua, "Saviour") and Christos (Chrestos, "Anointed") are both honorific cognomens, not personal names. James is extensively corroborated in Heroditus, and other family members are also named.
Thanks, for the heads up, the 4th Century corruption, as a Gloss, just shows, how Badly the forces be, that want to suppress, and insert confusion, into the text of the new testament, to slowly dismantle... The First Century Account's as they Originally were.... This is very Deceptive.... "If it were Possible, even the very Elect would be Deceived"..... Thank you....
@@Maxtana5 You're absolutely correct, I'm very focused on Chapter 6 as a seer medium, with Chapter 7 as a serious extension of the same. However, one clean-up attempt, in the Devotio Moderna, which started c1379 with the adoption of Jan van Ruusbroek's philosophy by Gerardus Groot, leading to Windesheim thence Protestantism and the Enlightenment, cannot be disregarded. The key to it is the 1414-18 Council of Constance, which needed an academic case, finally revealed in Pope Eugenius IV's reign, which saw van Eyck's Mystic Lamb/Fountain of Life and Dufay's Armed Man fall in as the quadrivium supports for the theology - both were staffers on the Council Secretariat at Constance, and the pieces I cite are supposed to be viewed both rationally and emotionally, as Arithmetic/Music and Geometry/Cosmology
@@Maxtana5 I was called to be a seer medium, properly tested by the CofE - in fact, the testing was what metamorphed my faith response to Samuel's small voice into the full certainty of experience. I'd listened, even got dug out of what I was doing to be on the right spot at the right time, and it was so perfect an answer to a whole Church's prayers that they decided I should be tested to see where I was coming from. That test, in public, seeking an ability to read a concealed truth, had the congregation in uproar, whereas my reaction was "gone and done it proper this time", so I called on the voice who'd been so right first time round, and from whom nothing is hidden, to reply through me. That was done by clearing my channels with a fast OurFather, and diving for cover in the deepest meditative hole I could find. What spoke through me was not of me, but answered the question precisely. It moved me to the position where a lot of preparatory work came together, on paths which won the 2012 Nobel Peace Prize, which I cite not to claim the kudos - that belongs on high - but that you may know me by an independent audit of my fruits. It's only intermittent, as needed, allowing me some freedom of choice, but was seen fully when a number of Harley Street's psychiatrists got interested. Their findings were yet another temptation to glorify myself, but created a schizoid alternative persona which wasn't the one which won the honours. The lies told me when young created an individual which wasn't scientifically factual, and I've just emerged from it with a clearer view greatly damaged by the grief of assassinating the false. A part of that journey towards the Prize was the completion of Gandhi's unfinished business, which started when I escorted two of my wife's cousins to the local supermarket, and while waiting for them, had the hint from the familiar voice, stand over there. Eight hours later, I'm walking home with peace for a subcontinent in my pocket, full of thanks and worship, and realising that it was just one more easy step along a path of the same, building me from a very incompetent Frank Spencer into someone the UN trusted with the rescue of Albania. It's called being a Tier One individual, which may have been spotted when I was 8y6m - the SAS came asking, but due diligence showed flaws in the politicians behind them, and so I walked alone. But when you're chosen, you never are alone, and so after being tagged by Peter Carington as a high-flyer, I was on a path which inevitably led me to refute Clausewitz's thinking, officially, creating a path towards peacemaking. That Gandhi business proved that I should expect the last step in the progression had to be the alpha and omega, which turned out to be the implosion of the RC Eucharistic movement. The first steps in taking control of the ArchiAssociation of the Eucharist revealed threats from the Mother Superior General, in Court, to 4000 local children, and once we'd sent an embassy to the Vatican to explain, based in the original intent of the Foundress, the question arose as to exactly what we'd had land on us: the physical grounding of the Devotio Moderna, for starters, but the heritage of the Arca Dei behind that. An early stage of that process involved an imposed crucifixion experience, traumatising me, which was drained in meditation upon the affinity it created for the metamorphosis. It's offered understanding in the medical profession for how the therapies work.
Lots of errors in this account… but the most important thing is this document did not appear until hundreds of years after the fact. We have hundreds of copies (thousands actually) of manuscripts that date back to the early first century.
Almost everything we have or rather allowed to have has passed through hands that did not believe in God in the first place. All these are so called experts that throw it in the fire because they don't want it to exist. We were told the bible is not real all the apocryphal texts are not real. The dead sea across dated many writings before the birth of Christ by 100 to 200 years and yet people say they are not real. Read the testaments of the patriarchs. They were Christians before it was a term. And the black hats have decided what we can have or the apostate church.

@gregrice1354 no sir I agree. I was just trying to make a point about all of the information we have has mostly came through many hands. And people don't research anything. They listen to the so called experts. And they are for the most part are atheists and don't want Christ to exist therfore it is rejected or suppressed. The lie has been repeated over and over. The dead sea scrolls validated the bible in many ways .it was determined that they predate Christ birth by at least 100 to 200 years or more. Many of the extra biblical texts support what we have in our Bible. The Holy Spirit is guide for us He leads us to the truth which is Jesus Christ. Thanks for replying.

Not written by anyone that was there because it is way out of order on what happened that day. You have him alive & talking after the spear on his side. Plus many more mistakes.
Hmmmm. Just wondering. Did Nicodemus speak in the "Kings English" as well? If this manuscript was recently found how is it written in the language of King James? Odd. Very Odd indeed. People are so easily deceived.
The story was translated over 200 years ago, it is in formal English. Pseudo gospels, letters and documents were popular in the 2nd and 3rd century. Basically it's fan fiction. The cannon was pretty well settled by the beginning of the 3rd century . The Pauline epistles are the oldest.
I think you are just being petty and disingenuous. Somewhere, easy for all to read in the video, there was a note in the script about part of the script being missing. This is what a translator would write in a TRANSLATED document. I cannot say if this document is genuine, but I am sure that if it was read in Hebrew, Aramaic or Latin, you would have unlikely have been able to make any silly comment here, because you would have understood NOTHING, if your weird comment is anything to go by. You are truly a wayward spirit...
Thank you so much. I’m glad you enjoy it. I find accounts like this so interesting. Even though they aren’t scripture like our Bible, I think it backs up the accounts in the Bible. God bless you!
@9394 I had to edit & add the word content I must have somehow left off of my comment lol. I agree fully with you and have been reading ancient texts and books for years. even as a Mason, I read collections they had in larger city and lodge libraries. Once saved eating and remembering the meat parts that back up cannon and the bones part I had to spit out as has always been their perspective. I read so many books and texts from BC and in his time and after. Most of the true history is only shared with a few today and since it was recorded. once saved very easy to see what is their viewpoint and what is true. For example Noah's flood and the epic of Gilgamesh. We know well the facts and origin of it. And knowing the truth of it we can easily eat the meat of truth from it and spit out the rest being from their perspective opposite of ours about the historic event. And what followed. All those city-state kingdoms of Noah's descendants to Kish or "Kush" the old city-state founded and ruled by I believe Kush. then along the same fertile crescent line SE of Where Noah ended up Er, Eridu, Uruk, and so on where Nimrod built Babel. Where then all those alive and the gods and goddesses they worshipped and knew names of got changed and were the same gods and goddesses (maybe Nephilim mothers human women or fewer details half fallen watcher half-human females though it is rare to find males.) The Ziggrotes and pyramids all around the world all have one origin. Not built by civilizations of those with no wheels or a few copper chisels but by the ones that came before them when they came and found the ruins incorporating them into their civilizations. Such as South & Central American ruins of masonry. Nimrods Bebel Ziggarot I believe. And the city-state kingdom he ruled there in the fertile crescent. The thousands of clay tablets found i the ruins of those early cities and civilizations that began after the flood with Noah's closest relatives after a few centuries with them still living long Norha and kids that was a large population of the time nothing compared to now of course but the history in those and the true history not translated correctly or that backs up perfectly with the biblical narrative is a world of wonder I have read and studied for years. And my years as a Mason & Shriner I studied it all I had to do was throw the bones out I never digested and looking back I see it clearly how it all backs up the true narrative.
@@Userprofilename you have a really good perspective to be able to pull all this together using what you have learned. I always enjoy reading your comments. @Tenjac It's possible the story recapitulates, as many do in Scripture. The author states what happened, then starts over to describe the same thing with more details. We do this when speaking to one another.
Weird perspective, but I guess when you work hard enough to convince yourself that something isn't real, you can come up with all sorts of believable concepts. I don't understand why anyone wants to live in a world of sadness, anger, hate, emptiness, and inebrients along with sin. Neverending love, peace, and happiness triumph. When you wake up every single day filled with gratefulness, happiness, love, and peace.... You are complete.
Impossible for eclipse to occur on a full moon of Passover. Also Jesus side was pierced with spear after his spirit was commended with God the Father… not before the verbal exchange between the thieves and Jesus…
And as we can see from this WHY it is considered a forgery. There is NO order in how it is written. It is like who ever wrote it took from the other testimonies to write down what was witnessed. The Word is not disorderly and full of confusion as well are the TESTIMONIES of the Disciples and Paul. It is amazing how lost and confused the little pagan churches and the mother of all abominations still cannot TELL THE TRUTH.
I wondered whatever happened to Nicodemus, I loved hearing this, there will always be one or two that question and doubt. But not I...❤ Thank you sister...
I thought that was a neat thing, as well! I did a little study once seeing what happened to a number of people mentioned in the Bible. Might be a good video idea someday! Glad you enjoyed it! God bless you!
This is all an unfortunate attempt at bolstering the Word but, nevertheless, Christ will transform your life through His real Word. I challenge anyone here to read the New Testament regularly with an open heart and mind and deny its power. All of us would struggle to recount our encounters with God, as the men and women of ancient times did. They used every genre of literature available, every oral story at their disposal, struggled with limited vocabularies and no educations of note, generally speaking, but the overall product is exceptional and conveys the power of God. One should always remember that the Bible was written for us, not to us and some knowledge of the cultures of that day helps tremendously.
I’m glad you enjoyed it. Thank you. Passover on the Zadokite calendar begins at sunset tonight. The night of the eclipse will begin the 7th day of unleavened bread on that calendar.
Jesus was the first to be resurrected. This record says that people rose from the dead while Jesus was still alive on the cross. Not so. People rose from the dead AFTER his resurrection. Also Christ was stabbed in his side after he was dead to see if he was indeed dead.
When the tombs were opened during the earthquake that happened at the time of Jesus' death, those people were said to have been recognized by many as they went into the city. They absolutely did not die, they were ascended into Heaven when Jesus was. He had descended into Hell after his death and freed their souls, which until that time it was not possible for anyone to enter into Heaven, until Jesus conquered death, reuniting their souls with their bodies. Different religions vary on their understanding of this. Now we know that when we die, our souls go to Heaven for our judgment. Some get to stay, some go to Purgatory outside of Heaven separate from Jesus for varying lengths to repent for their sins, and some are sent to Hell, like Hitler, where they spend eternity. Our bodies will reunited with our souls and resurrected after the second coming of Jesus. Some people believe their life force no longer exists, that there is simply no afterlife, like the Jews. This was surprising to me to learn, that they have no hope of an afterlife. Some Protestants describe the person as merely sleeping, that their souls will not attain heaven until after the second coming of Jesus, when they are also bodily resurrected.
@@suesmith8372 Purgatory is NOT based on any Jewish/Hebrew tradition nor upon Scripture. It is an artificial idea and construction of the Roman Catholic organization, just as so MUCH of religious dogma and doctrine of the Catholic organization is. Your assertion that the Jews had no belief in the afterlife reveals your lack of knowledge of both Scripture and lack of knowledge of Judaic history and theology. You ought to invest some time to consider the innumerable errors of the Catholic organization and their doctrines and practices. The distortion of the day of Crucifixion and full 3 days and nights in the grave, was to serve the vanity of the Catholic's calculation of solar calendar, despite Scripture and the entire Jewish tradition - as Jesus is eternally Jewish - of use of lunar calendar to designate the months and God ordained Appointment Days or Feast Days, including the intersecting days of Passover/Pesach and Unleavened Bread, during which Jesus was crucified and Resurrected. People must really wonder about the lack of research and reasoning of those who identify as Catholic. Christians are admonished to verify the claims of Scripture, while Catholics do not study the facts and history, just the dogma. This has helped promulgate some of the longest running sin and criminal sexual abuse by priests and nuns - alleged religious "orders" not found in Scripture nor commanded by God. Catholicism matches, sadly, with one of the 7 types of Christian congregations noted in Revelation, the ungodly authoritarian Nikolaitans.

The truth will out. The fact that so many archaeological artefacts are now being uncovered, that prove either the Bible's history, and or Christ, shows we are at the end of days, and that Christ will return soon. Maranatha, come Lord Jesus. Amen
I am a follower of Jesus. I must wonder why, though, if this was written by someone in the first century, why did they use the king's English of the King James version written 16 centuries later?
King James bible is a very corrupted one. King James is the one who got the original writings to be translated into be aligned to suits him, when he himself got his wife murdered. The Geneva bible and the Douay-Rheims Holy Bible were both translated copied from the Septuagint writings. These bibles are at least more accurate, especially the Douay-Rheims Holy Bible has more (73) books in it.
I enjoyed this. I know that it’s not been deemed as part of the Bible so it’s hard to know if this is a true book or fabricated however, it does go very well along with what we know about the story of the crucifixion and resurrection. The only thing is talking about the eclipse. Eclipses only last a few minutes, but it has been recorded that the sun was dark for hours.. so I don’t believe it was an eclipse that happened. In the reading that you did, they said that it was an eclipse happened according to what is normal, but it isn’t normal for an eclipse to happen for more than a few minutes.. I don’t know Maybe it was an eclipse but if it was an eclipse It was not according to how it normally does.
This is interesting, reads like a King James version and compiled and extended using the 4 Gospels. Doctrinally does not seem to contradict the Gospels ,but I think this was written by some later date.
This book is written a little backwards. It is just copied from the gospel of Mathew. Although the centurion didn't spear Jesus's side until he was already dead.
@@valeriewalker954According to the Apostles Jesus Christ side was pierced to make certain he was dead, but water ran from the heart because of extreme loss of blood. Jesus Christ had given up His Ghost. He was already expired.
@@valeriewalker954 How would you possibly claim to know this, in distinction to the eyewitness reports and affirmations of accounts known? - (You don't. You can't.)
This account does not change or alter the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the least bit . Nicodemus was wealthy and also a highly educated pharisee and certainly could and would make a first hand account as one of Christs faithful followers. Just as people today write important events in a Journal, each of us would have certainly written of the resurrection of Christ if we had witnessed it first hand, to our own posterity, as witnesses of the Son of God, and first hand witnesses of the power over death, resurrection and promise by Him of Eternal life. What account could be more important to a world where mortal death is certain? There were thousands of accounts of each believer at the time of Christs Works of Heaven including His crucifixion. Does this account promote a small treatise of further faith in Christ ? The accounts written that are the same are accurate to the Gospels and change nothing but support the Gospels or doctrine of Christ , the account of Joseph and other characters are just a bonus of insight to even accounts told for two hundred years by the earliest Christians , Most of the gospels were written after the actual events by 50-70 years. This account is faith promoting and enlightening. I would listen to the first hand accounts of the early believers of Christ all day.
This account has Jesus being speared before he dies. That is a big problem. There are many elements borrowed directly from the canonical Gospels and early Church tradition. It certainly lacks the authority of Scripture.
The authority of Scripture was decided by a council. It’s not so black and white as you would make it seem as though God handed us a Bible like he gave Moses the Ten Commandments.
The Jews would in no circumstances refer to Jesus as "Christ", which is:"Messiah", since they had him crucified precisely on the grounds that they thought he was NOT the Messiah!
keeping the correct position of where you are currently reading from would be extremely helpful! it got a little difficult to follow along at times! Keep up your hard work and may Jesus bless your walk in faith!
I believe many things may have happened after and before Jesus' death not recoeded in the Bible. . Jesus Himself said: There are so many things that he shared with his Disciples that there would not be enough pages to record the conversations he held with them. See John's Gosple.
Idk if you guys know this or not, but there is a event missing from the online read vs the audiobook made by Christopher Glyn. Caiaphas and Annas was visited by Pilate a last time on this trial. See it for yourself.

It was interesting until she mentioned King Arthur. I researched the Arthur legend when i was in college, 50 yrs ago. Arthur was a minor ruler in Wales. His father, Uther Pendragon, was a great tribal leader, and brought much glory to himself.
Thanks for this! I recently listened to this “ acts of Pilate” etc. I was blown away about the interesting details. Regardless of its actual truth- it has increased my faith & I am choosing to believe this. How do u feel about it?
You’re very welcome! I’m so glad you enjoyed it. Things like this also increase my faith, and while many doubt the truth of this letter, I believe it is accurate. To me, it just backs up what the Bible says. God bless you!
Very interesting presentation. Christ was lead to the crucifixion with two malefactors. Later in the morning two robbers or thieves were brought to be crucified. There were five who were crucified that day. Read about the crucifixion of Christ in the Companion Bible-EW Bullinger. The Crucifixion took place on Wednesday. EW Bullinger was one of the finest biblical scholars of all time. He died in 1915.
A first person, Nicodemian account of the trial and crucifixion of Jesus, would not contain all the hallmarks of 1611 King James English (Thee, Thou, etc).
It dates back to around the 4th or 5th century. So, obviously it wasn't written by the Nicodemus who spoke with Jesus. Part of tells the tale of two deceased fellows who come back to life, go to the Sanhedrin, and tell them what Jesus did when He descended into hell after the crucifixion. Nonsense. All the books of the New Testament were written before 120 AD. Johnny-come-lately isn't real.
If you have studied the scriptures you would see that this testimony is true. Can a child of God, recognize his voice and nature of his savior? This work IS THE GOSPEL. Careful before rejecting it. You might not realize what your rejecting.
@@michaelhorgan9835 Hmm. Well I DO have the Inspired and Inerrant Word of God in the Holy Bible. So I am already SUFFICIENTLY well served. Thanks for the word of caution.
@@michaelhorgan9835This is an ignorant comment. What God inspired has been the rule of faith in the Church from the earliest centuries. The Church leaders from the first five centuries of the Church who were steeped in the Scriptures and bequeathed the Apostolic tradition knew very clearly how to distinguish between inspired Scripture coming directly from Christ’s Apostles and the later pious “pseudepigrapha” (to which this document belongs), which contained many elements of the Apostolic tradition, but wove them together in a narrative that was clearly pious fiction (much like a lot of biblical fiction today). It can never stand on a par with Scripture.
It’s said to be written around 4th or 5th century. For translated, I don’t know. That’s probably why its authenticity is debated. It’s still worth reading, I think.
Judging from the spelling, grammar and the way words are used I would say it was translated in the 18th century or in the 19th delibrrately in the English of the King James Bible.
Imagine if the Lord had shown himself to corrupt Jews as well as to the believers how different the world could be but faith will not be diluted to be true faith.
when Jesus said My Father why have you forsaken me? HE was quoting Psalms 22.....for our justification. HE was saying the words that the Son of GOD was prophesied to say at HIS death!!!!... so amazing.
Verse 3 says, "The Jews answered him, But how durst thou enter into the synagogue who wast a confederate with Christ? Let thy lot be along with him in the other world." So, the Jews called Jesus, Christ? I wonder why they'd knowingly kill the Messiah.
@@Psalm_9394 - It's a slip-up that exposes the inauthenticity of the work. It is largely a compilation of the gospels. I found it interesting that it quoted both versions of the Great Commission - Matthew's and Mark's. "...baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved." That's Matthew 28 and Mark 16. It also bears witness to the antiquity of the "additions to Mark" (Mark 16:9-20) that every Atheist shill wants us to believe wasn't added until the 10th century or whatever. The Gospel of Nicodemus was dated to the late 200s (third century) and includes "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved." This belies the claim of these "experts" that just because the Gnostic texts (Codex Sinaiticus and Codex Vaticanus) don't include Mark 16:9-20 that these verse were added much later. Sinaiticus and Vaticanus are 4th century forgeries. That's over 100 years later than this Gospel of Nicodemus. These experts are not very good at dethroning the King but they keep on trying.
@@rogerfielding1117 Scripture is all written in plain language for simple exposition and easy comprehension. Nostradamus used practices of forbidden divination and witchcraft - "gazing" at bowls of water and other means - to write his quatrains of poetic construction. Absolutely NOT in any accord or credible alignment with the cannon of Scripture.
However, this account is attributed to be written as a work of zeal from the 4th century. The 27 New Testament books used today, were canonized in the 2nd century. St. Jerome, pray for us.
The canonization isn't exactly as you make out: the criteria used for inclusion/exclusion are "interesting" to say the least. Christ's own approach (Matt 6-7) makes it clear faith is very intensely personal, and in no wise Organisational, having some harsh words to say about the presumption of the latter, and its consequences. I'll add a personal note, that my experience aligns with this, as my own path was determined 80 years before my birth, and I had to be Jonahed onto that path when humility said no. On it, I achieved a lot, but the credit belongs on high, not with me. You don't need intercession either, just a recognition that nothing passes unnoticed and almost everything is forgiven - except harming children.
The same people who decided to leave out many books, also changing God's Holy day so they could murder the Templer's in the evening of Friday the 13 th knowen as black Friday it was unlawful to murder on the Sabbath, so came the corruption of Catholicism by Morning Star a lier from the beginning who you believe with out any doubt,as 30% off the gospels are missing, mmmmm
@@brucevernon5827 By "Templer's" do you mean 'Templars'? If so, then the 'Holy Day' by which you mean, the Lord's Day?, was set well before the Crusades - 11th, 12th and 13th centuries - and anything after them, including the Knights Templar. English (and Germanic/Nordic) speaking protestants are funny. They don't realize that in the Romance language, Greek speaking/influenced, and Slavic countries - most of Europe and the Christians in the Near and Middle East regions - what they call 'Sunday" is the "Lord's Day" in their local/liturgic language, and what they call 'Easter' is "Pascha"/Passover in their local/liturgic language. You have zero evidence that any part of the canonical books of the Bible were lost, certainly not 30 %.
Loved this account! Even as a firm bible reading/believing Christian I collect lost scriptures and gospels where I can find them. Although not "accepted" as Canonical, there is still good and relevant information in these. I'm studying the bibles collection and translation history. According to the "rules" the say, if the codex or writing quoted words of Jesus or was agreed to or told of in the old Testament, then it should be accepted as Canonical. I think this should definitely be considered as such. Where can I find the rest of the Gospel of Nicodemus.
I agree with you! I think it’s great to know what these books say. It’s available online and also in book form on Amazon pretty cheap. I have the gospels of the Essenes and also the Nazarenes. It’s so neat to read additional details in those such as (if memory is correct) when Yeshua was born, there was a mother cat and kittens nearby. He made statements about animals and creatures our gospels don’t have. I may read some of those in a video someday. Just have so many things I would like to cover!
if it is written half a millenia after the event (4th or 5th cent AD), that's not an "account", it's collected folklore (no eyewitnesses) and a waste of our time.
One thing I wish I could understand is if bodies rose when jesus died from the cross were they skeletons? Did they get their skin and muscle tossue back immediately?!
They must have, because people recognized them and were actually talking to them. One of these was Joseph, Jesus' foster father. They all ascended into Heaven when Jesus did, the first of mankind to be admitted into Heaven, after Jesus completed his mission.
@@suesmith8372 Those stories simply aren't true. Way too often I see Christians indulging in competition regarding who will believe the most ridiculous NT story. Obviously if these momentous stories were true we'd see mention of them in Jewish writings & in Greek & Roman records. It's just early Christians trying to fit Jesus in with OT prophecies. I'm thinking it might be something from Leviticus?

hmm interesting. but one thing that stood out to me was that in the gospel accounts, the disciples didnt recognize JEsus at first, but in this one the soldiers recognized him immediately. maybe they knew he was Jesus by his teachings?
That’s what I understood, as well. It’s nice to see different versions of the same story because each can contribute something we didn’t know but makes absolute sense. I love that we can access some of these records.
Im not sure, how do we know this is a true gospel? I feel like it would have circulated through the church along with the other gospels. I feel like the fact that they recognized JEsus at first may be a reason it could be appocryphal. Is there manuscript evidence to support this?@@Psalm_9394
@@bryce8594other than it being found in the location cited in the video, we don’t have proof. There are a lot of books which have been removed in the Bible. You can look at the index of the 1611 KJV and compare it with our KJV and see those. Removed books and findings in the Dead Sea Scrolls show us there is more than the 66 books the Catholic Church canonized. I think not knowing if it is genuine or a forgery, we should read them with a historical view more than scriptural view, chew up the meat and spit out the bones as some say.
I see your point. I also think there is a lot to learn from appocryphal books like Giants and Enoch. The eat the meat, spit out the bones part tho im not sure if that is biblical. I know there were a lot of gospels left out of the original king James version 1611, but this Gospel fits so well with the others, I can’t find any reason why they would’ve left it out.
No doubt because it/they could not be authenticated. The fact that these documents have never been found in original Hebrew, Aramaic or Greek lend to that conclusion. Another clue is that they are written in the vernacular of the 1611 English centuries after it should be written and hidden in that particular location also says a lot about its lack of authenticity.
Keep in mind that the "original king James version" was a translation of prior Holy Scripture. My understanding is that the Latin Bible was primarily used, but the Greek Septuagint and Greek New Testament were available to the translators. The 'gospels' so often mentioned being left out were mostly Gnostic texts written 1 to 2 hundred years or more after the canonical texts.
@@ownpetard8379 yes, somebody pointed out this gospel was written in the King James vernacular, and there are no earlier translations in any other language. I just like the way it sounded.

An interesting presentation, however, the events are not in proper sequence IMHO. The problem with the account of Nicodemus is that the crown of thorns was not placed on Jesus' head on the way to Golgotha but while He was in the prison or while out in the guard's courtyard. The title Pilate wrote and placed above Jesus head on the cross may have been before Jesus was crucified. It isn't mentioned when exactly Pilate wrote it, only that he did and it was placed on the cross.
itzcaseykc did you know they have the sign that Pilate wrote is in Rome?Did you know that?I'm going to Rome in Sept. and am going to the church where the sign is on display. The sign was brought back to Rome by Helena, mother of Constantine, while searching for the cross of Jesus in Jerusalem.
@@frank1fm634 Interesting how the Church of Rome has to try and collect, or lay claim to, certain things it had nothing to do with. Is it their way to try and find some form of validity to what they teach or credibility in other people's eyes? Even if the mother of my predecessor brought that sign back to Rome from Jerusalem, it doesn't change anything. All it proves is that Pilate acknowledged who Jesus was by writing what he did. When the chief priests saw what was written, they baulked at the wording and foamed at the mouth, then tried to coerce Pilate into rewriting it saying, "Write not, 'The King of the Jews'; but that He said, 'I am the King of the Jews.' Pilate answered, 'What I have written I have written.'" John 19:19-22
I find it strange that this supposedly ancient inscription is translated into the same type of language that is used in the 1611 KJV. Surely it would have been translated into a more modern language?
The Jews didn't want this Gospel to become public, but I bet they couldn't find where Nicodemus put it, so they never found it until the public found it. The Jews did all they could do to cover all this up, they paid Men to bare false witness against Jesus. See Religions is the very thing that condemned Jesus to death for no reason. The Vinger and Gall was the last prophecy for the 1st coming of the Messiah. Religions are not from God; they are Man made by this Flesh without the Spirit. This Gospel should have been added into the Holy Bible when they found it, but still till this day, the Jews still are lying about this event. This should have been after Matthew or before Matthew.
@@Psalm_9394 If you liked this read, I suggest reading the Confession of Pontius Pilate. This confession was taken after Pilate was exiled to Vienna after the Empire removed Pilate for acting without the knowledge of the empire. His childhood friend or "playmate" as the letter says. This is a jowl dropping confession, his best friend that was not blaming Pilate at all before this confession for what had happened, ended up condemning Pilate himself before that confession was over. Then I suggest the Letters of Claudia the Wife of Pilate. This letter is really heartfelt to her childhood friend. You know Claudia was 16 years old when she married Pilate, and he was 50ish. Lol. Those letters will add a lot more understanding of those events. The Confession of Pilate was written in Latin at first, then translated into Arabic of all languages, then into English.
I believe it was accurate & then transcribed by the English / British once Nicodemus made it there & gave his account to them as a first hand eye witness ! So, what happened to Joseph of Arimathea & where did he end up ?
I too, enjoyed reading this awhile ago. It makes for a comforting account. However, some of it appears to be a "copy and paste" from a couple of our known books in our Bibles. Here is my issue: Luke , who was not there to witness the crucifixion, was the only one to write the account of the thief acknowledging him and mention of the Kingdom. The two other accounts from two of actual disciples and Apostles are in agreement that even the two thieves were mocking and scoffing him. They were there as witnesses. As it is written and witnessed through Yeshua's actions by those who walked with him he acted in complete obedience to the Law. That being said, there is the issue of what has to be done in regards for repentance, atonement and forgiveness. If he changed anything, a jot or tittle, he would not be in compliance and it would make his statement regarding such a lie. He, did not lie or change one thing before or after his earthly death. Just saying.
I absolutely believe the law was not done away with. I’m still brand new to reading these accounts and some of the books that were once in the Bibles, some of the writings in the DSS and a few others. I’m sharing things often soon after I see them myself mostly because I get excited to see what’s written as it fills in a blank somewhere. (Like this one. “He came to set the captives free” including Joseph of Aramathea ! It was perfect) I’ve heard of some having issues with Luke’s writings in addition to others. You may enjoy a channel called Jesus’ words only. I know he has covered a lot of what I think you are referring to and looked at early writings of the church fathers and different accounts than we are used to. I really believe the repentant thief would not be rejected, though. Many people turn to God at the end. I can’t see that being rejected. Is that what you mean?

The account has no contradictions to any of the four Biblical Gospels. Very interesting.
I agree! Thank you for watching and thank you for your kind comment.
It does. The spear didn't pierce him before he died, but after.
@Tenjac I'm not so sure I'd dismiss it totally on that. There are many seeming contradictions in scripture.
@Tenjac It's possible the story recapitulates, as many do in Scripture. The author states what happened, then starts over to describe the same thing with more details. We do this when speaking to one another.
Thank you.

Thank you for that. I’m glad you enjoyed it. God bless you.
It's almost like they copied the Bible, put their own spin on it, and mixed it all up.
Weird perspective, but I guess when you work hard enough to convince yourself that something isn't real, you can come up with all sorts of believable concepts.
I don't understand why anyone wants to live in a world of sadness, anger, hate, emptiness, and inebrients along with sin.

Fascinating, yes. ✝️
Impossible for eclipse to occur on a full moon of Passover. Also Jesus side was pierced with spear after his spirit was commended with God the Father… not before the verbal exchange between the thieves and Jesus…
It is also "impossible" to raise the dead, heal leapers and turn water to wine. Why do you doubt the power of the creator of the universe?
Wise words.
Thank you I enjoyed it also found it fascinating 😊

Interesting I'm seeing this right between Easter and the solar eclipse. Thank you

Jesus was the first to be resurrected. This record says that people rose from the dead while Jesus was still alive on the cross. Not so. People rose from the dead AFTER his resurrection. Also Christ was stabbed in his side after he was dead to see if he was indeed dead.
Actually it was after He died on the cross. He decended to the dead and the temple curtain was torn in half.
Also, they did not stay alive, Jesus did.
The truth of JESUS is FACT , these FACTS keep proving themselves ,thousands of years later.

I am a follower of Jesus. I must wonder why, though, if this was written by someone in the first century, why did they use the king's English of the King James version written 16 centuries later?
Good point! It may be a false account. It’s difficult to know for sure, but it is good to be aware of historical accounts, nonetheless.
King James bible is a very corrupted one. King James is the one who got the original writings to be translated into be aligned to suits him, when he himself got his wife murdered. The Geneva bible and the Douay-Rheims Holy Bible were both translated copied from the Septuagint writings.

I thought It was an interesting read regardless. Thanks for watching.
The authority of Scripture was decided by a council. It’s not so black and white as you would make it seem as though God handed us a Bible like he gave Moses the Ten Commandments.

How or to what degree has this document been given credibility/ authenticity?
It dates back to around the 4th or 5th century. So, obviously it wasn't written by the Nicodemus who spoke with Jesus. Part of tells the tale of two deceased fellows who come back to life, go to the Sanhedrin, and tell them what Jesus did when He descended into hell after the crucifixion.
Nonsense. All the books of the New Testament were written before 120 AD. Johnny-come-lately isn't real.

When was this wrote and when was it translated? I ask this because I know that they did not speak or write in old English two thousand years ago.

That's Matthew 28 and Mark 16. It also bears witness to the antiquity of the "additions to Mark" (Mark 16:9-20) that every Atheist shill wants us to believe wasn't added until the 10th century or whatever.
The Gospel of Nicodemus was dated to the late 200s (third century) and includes "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved."
This belies the claim of these "experts" that just because the Gnostic texts (Codex Sinaiticus and Codex Vaticanus) don't include Mark 16:9-20 that these verse were added much later. Sinaiticus and Vaticanus are 4th century forgeries. That's over 100 years later than this Gospel of Nicodemus.

English (and Germanic/Nordic) speaking protestants are funny.
Possibly so. I see the reasons people believe it’s not an accurate translation, but it was well worth the read for me. I found it very interesting.
Saint Dimus is wee known to Catholics.
I didn’t know that. Thank you for sharing.
It only increased my faith reading it. I’m fascinated by some of the other accounts and removed books of the Bible. Thank you for watching.

I agree.
@@Psalm_9394 I too enjoy JWO! Excellent site. Specially when he slips into his passionate frustrations. 😆 I get it. I was there and I understand it.
Doug is a marvelous researcher and presenter of information. IMO I take any validity of the Codex Sinaiticus with great skepticism, because of where and when it was "found". But that is just me.

There could not have been an eclipse as it was Passover on a full moon, when the moon is on the opposite side of the sky from the sun.
Many say there was an eclipse. Luke 23:44 says the same, “It was now about noon, and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon “

There are historical accounts of an eclipse lasting for hours in other parts of the world.
@wmarkfish - God, who can move mountains and part seas is limited in his power? Is this what you are saying?
@@kicnbac Phlegon matches Luke's account of the darkness in 33 AD. He was a Roman pagan source.
@@Psalm_9394CBS doesnt verify the Bible. Passover happens only on the full moon.
The Bible is complete and we do not need anything else, nor do we know if these extra biblical scripts have any validity. Best to stay away from them, as interesting as they are.
Things like this only deepen my desire to learn more!
I totally agree with you. The Bible is complete.
Which Bible? 66 books of the Protestant Bible, or the 73 books of the Catholic Bible?
It's not a biblical text if it's not in our current Bible. Does that mean we shouldn't consider it for possibly historical value like the Dead Sea scrolls? Or maybe you also have issues with those?
@@johnwilson5637 Nothing from the catholic cult should be considered.
