I am using a removable peel coat / Plasti dip for delete chrome emblems and decals from my car. Rust-Oleum Peel Coat is a best alternative to Plasti Dip and I am really impressed by its quality.

the peeling inside small areas is way more difficult . I would reccomend a couple more coats and two wait 2 hours
