FILM DESCRIPTION:
Coming to America casts comedian Eddie Murphy as pampered African prince Akeem, who rebels against an arranged marriage and heads to America to find a new bride. Murphy's regal father (James Earl Jones) agrees to allow the prince 40 days to roam the U.S., sending the prince's faithful retainer Semmi (Arsenio Hall) along to make sure nothing untoward happens. To avoid fortune hunters, Prince Akeem conceals his true identity and gets a "Joe job" at a fast-food restaurant. Murphy and Hall play multiple roles, and there are innumerable celebrity cameos peppered throughout the proceedings -- including the Duke Brothers (Don Ameche and Ralph Bellamy) from Trading Places. Coming to America made further headlines when humorist Art Buchwald sued the film's producers for plagiarizing one of his works. Buchwald carried the case to trial, where he won a sizeable judgement against the film's producers.

You missed one!!!! My favorite : when the apartment manager tells them Hakeem moved downstairs they knocks & once Arsenio Hall opens the door you see a bookcase behind him, he closed the door from shock when he opens it back up the bookcase has moved way to the right side.

That last one about the rain was definitely the one.
This movie is great. I recently watched this movie and noticed something else. When Akeem and Lisa were approaching the Dukes, the bridge was to the right on the screen. When they departed, the bridge was farther left. At first, I thought it may have been the camera angle, but I watched the scene again. It appeared they moved the Dukes.
ALSO WHEN SAMUEL ENTERS THE FASTFOOD LOOK AT THE BLACK GIRL IN THE COUNTER, HOW MANY TIMES SHE GETS DOWN😂

That’s the signature of director John landis. He does the same with Eddie Murphy in trading places after the pork bellies/bacon lettuce and tomato sandwich part.
You forgot the little kid riding the skate board. He is wearing a jacket that belong to Eddy Murphy and Arsenio Hall. The issue is, the jacket fits the little kid perfectly, almost as of it was made for him. How could a grown-up jacket fits a little kit perfectly.

Another big mistake. Arsenio and Eddie go to a nightclub to look for women. It wasn’t a happy hour because people are dancing. AFTER returning from the club, the barber invites them to the black awareness event that was the same night. There is no way the event would be held after nightclub hours.

How about a mistake that was so funny it was left in the movie? John Amos had done several takes of answering the front door, especially with the different people at the door. He was getting a little tired and in one take he tripped on the steps and fell. He got right back up and kept going. It stayed in the movie.
