Going over the thought process of buying a CPO 86 TRD instead of a GR86. The first Gen low key resembles the LFA lol.

Im gonna have one like in a week or so ... Im afraid of the easy people tell that gt86 is to escape you , it it true that gt86 is easily out of control on the turns? (sry for bad english)

@HenriqueSilva-xr6ik watch a few of my videos, the full length one and you will see how easy it is to drive. I am still new to RWD cars and I was having a blast without getting scared at all. It is very easy to drive and you can feel when you are about to loose traction and you can back off.

So in Australia the GT86 is AU $20,000 cheaper or more than a GR86. GT86 costs $25,000 and GR86 costs $50,000. You can put a turbo or supercharger on a GT86 for less than $10,000 . Now you have a GT86 that steers better than a GR86 and is faster than a GR86 and still have $10,000 left over for mods. I totally agree the Gen 1 GT86 look so much better than the new GR86 to me as well, there is so many cinematic GT86 videos of the original online which are amazing. They will always have better fuel economy. Also the turning indicators to go left and right on the old Gen 1 86's is not messed up and works as expected. The boot entrance is also slightly bigger on the original. For the price the original GT86 Gen 1 cars are absolutely amazing and you can find some really low kms ones on the market. Also if you want to put a turbo on your car the original GT86 engines are so much more reliable than attaching a turbo or supercharger to a GR86. Simply you end up with a faster car, that looks better and is cheaper. Might I even say I even prefer the old GT86 speedometer to the new GR86 digital display. Oh I got a aftermarket centre console arm rest that fits in the GT86 and moves forward and backward. The centre console, doesn't rattle, doesn't move has 2 usb ports and its soooo much better than the arm rest in the GR86. Really easy modification. With the spare $10,000 I saved I put PPF paint protection film over my GT86. Enjoy your GT86, it is a great car and still handles amazing.

The gt86 looks better. And has a better road feel. The 2.4 would be cool, but that is all I want out of the new one.

I haven’t even really pushed it too much, but I don’t think I need any more power for what I am doing right now lol.

@sohaibyounus I know you said you aren't big into mods, but the torque solutions transmission bushing is the best bang for the buck in my opinion. Gives a little more direct accelerator pedal feel. Like 30 to 40 dollars. I tell everyone to try it. Feels like a tune, but not tuned. lol.

@@bk8230 I will run with it till I feel like modding and then go from there but yeah any mod under $50 nowadays is a no brainer lol.

TRD trim comes with the stiffer suspension, Brembo brakes, TRD exhaust and a body kit. They had a really good deal on it so I had to pull the trigger. I don’t like to buy the car and start spending on mods before the car is paid off lol. So I just bought it will all the basic upgrades I would have needed soon after owning it.
