    This doesn't relate to a relationship but my life overall. When I was young I was picked on about always getting in trouble. I adapted to mean words and blame. I grew to dislike thank you's and praise in general. Whenever I do something good it feels like something that has to be done. I've stopped being grateful for a lot of things because I see there is a logical reason to not care.

      Me too, that's how I've felt ever since I was little.

      I can also relate to this a bit; not liking compliments because it may have been from pity and such.

      Everytime my boss told me i did a good job its just meant they will never pays me for that spesific job. And i only did it because there was no one else around to do it.
      Its kinda makes me realise i never actually did any great job.

      @@uNdAdrAIt I can so relate. And although I know it and my environment is different today, I'm really bad at accepting compliments.
      I have learnt now to just say thank you and not respond something out loud that waives the compliment. But in my head I still reject whatever nice was said to me.

    "You’re not something to be fixed you’re someone to be loved. The absence of love is what broke you and the presence of love will be what will heal you."
    This saying helped me a lot with accepting love and getting into my first healthy relationship, even if I always thought that I was not worthy and needed to heal first. We all deserve love, no matter what we've been through.
    I hope that it may help some people in this comment section too :)
    Great Audio Kat!!

    I've been in an abusive relationship for years, and I didn't realize it was abusive until somewhat recently because it was my only experience, and some lovely people came into my life and have helped me realize and deal with it, and ive finally decided to cut my abuser out of my life, and im terrified. Listening to your audios, including this one, is so unbelievably helpful for dealing with that fear. I know it likely doesn't mean much, but you are playing a serious role in improving my life, and I appreciate it endlessly.

    Having gone through a marriage and several relationships like the abusive one described here, I just want to say thank you. This is the first time someone has articulated my feelings in a way that I can now share with others.

    A relationship can be romantic or even just casual friendship. Abuse doesnt have to be physical or something verbally explicit, it can also be things like neglect. But in the end its so easy to blame yourself for it and change your minds inner workings to paint yourself as the evil one, and it becomes frustrating when people treat you any other way than how you tell yourself that you deserve. I really appreciate this video for just giving me food for thought for whats going on with myself and why i struggle with my relationships.

    Beautiful as always Kat. I’ve never had an abusive relationship, or any relationship at all and maybe never will. But these are still nice to listen to. Hope anyone who has been through abusive crap will feel better listening to this and I hope your doing well. Btw love the thumbnail, love the autumn turning into winter, so beautiful, you always pick the best thumbnails for these ASMRs. ❤

    Generic script of angry boi. Lame.

    • @zeeba3999
      @zeeba3999 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Generic hate comment without any actual constructive feedback. Lame.

    • @Synthetic94
      @Synthetic94 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@zeeba3999 here's my feedback. Anger from past abuse is certainly real. What's unrealistic is that I, as the listener, understand that and wouldn't project on others.
      Not to say I haven't, but certainly not in that way. The script implies someone seriously unhealthy and I feel it struggles to write (or rather, imply) a relatable character. This roleplay doesn't do it for me because I wouldn't want to put someone through something negative I myself have endured.

    • @zeeba3999
      @zeeba3999 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@Synthetic94 I can see your perspective. However, speaking as someone with anger from past abuse who actively worked towards and is still working on not lashing out at others due to it, its entirely possible. You can absolutely be in a relationship with these problems, and work on them so you do not mistreat others.
      Being perfect at it? Yeah, thats unrealistic. But, assuming the speaker is going from a smaller timeframe, it's entirely viable in my opinion.

    • @NoNono-o3h

      Both of you cringe

    • @fredericksaxton9782
      @fredericksaxton9782 ปีที่แล้ว

      Then it isn't for you *specifically.* Not everyone has the same experience or reaction. Also no where does it say the listener WANTS to put anyone through anything, anger is a feeling and it can be confusing just like any other feeling in certain situations.
      That was no excuse to insult the video and call it "lame" because it didn't cater to your experience specifically. Plus, you're basically calling other people's experiences "lame". If everything had to be catered to one type of experience, many people would be left out and alone.
