When you feel like you've been betrayed, even if you actually haven't been, you'll make rushed decisions. You need to talk it out to make sure you don't make a huge mistake.

The speaker was so sweet and kind and caring, her hating us feeling unsafe with her was so pure, and her giving us the option to have space and/or take time to think about everything and expressing that she wants us to be ok and happy was so awesome that was such a nice touch., as was her reassuring us that we’re the only one she wants and that we’re so important and matter so much to her, and that she loves us so much. Idk how someone would think it isn’t worth mentioning even though you yourself said you would be upset if the roles were reversed in that situation. Me personally I believe you should completely cut ties (yes that means blocking them) with a previous partner to me it just doesn’t make sense to keep a previous “lover” in contact letting them text you gives them the hope of you seeing the messages and responding the fact that you even see it could be enough to satisfy them and leads them on to keep going.
Reminds me of how utterly destroyed and broken inside I am, it’s a regret that I have probably the only one in my years that I never found anyone that didn’t stab me in the back and then laugh at me because of my stupidity that I actually trusted someone.
