Great video thanks for the info! Tip: I use a magnetic screw driver they are awesome for those tiny screws. I have one that I bought in 1975!lol. Not sure they make them anymore. If so cheap and a great investment. I use mine all the time. The grease was a good idea though.
I wish I had expected to drop a screw and I'd have been more prepared. Great example of the stuff that happens though. I need to make a set of magnetic screwdrivers.🤔 Thanks for watching and commenting.😎
@@YellowJacketGarage easy. Take your vin to a DuPont paint store / Axalta they have what’s called the vindicator system between them and GM almost dead nuts every time. And most people don’t know that!
Excellent, how much were the new bulbs? I have a c6 and recently I noticed one of my bulbs lights up normal which is white blueish and another lighting pure white. Have no idea how that happened. My lights are stock never been touched.
The LED bulbs were a gift so I don't have the price but I'd recommend Auxito (www.auxito.com/?gclid=Cj0KCQiAi8KfBhCuARIsADp-A56xO60VGyy8HVSR9-rFsLAa6mony228htgvPIBzyh4WR9zKfkq5VkUaAllFEALw_wcB) as a source for LED bulbs. Sounds like you're needing to replace some bulbs, LED is the way to go.😎
@@YellowJacketGarage yup might as well go LED. I'm just torn between the 4300 or 6k. I like them being white, they could have a tad blue but I mostly want better visibility then what I have now.
@Tito I went 6k because if I'm driving at night I want to be able to actually see. My first conversion was my daily truck and the 6k was exactly what worked best for me. Let me know what you think about the choice you make and how it works. Maybe your info can help someone else make their choice easier.
Why didn't you use a magnetic tip screwdriver or bit? They also make now 1DS LED bulbs that's a direct replacement fit for the HId, plug and Play. Amazon has many different types.
I didn't use one because I didn't have one, more of a cautionary for everyone else at this point. I did use an LED replacing the HID, the new bulb is a 6k led.
Great video. I'm surprised you didn't just go ahead and upgrade your turns to LED while you were in there. Probably not much more money either. How much better light output are your low beams now?
I was going to but just needed to get it functional for a quick road trip. The low beams are brighter but now show how horrible the HID high beams look.🤣
Thanks. Great to have a concrete floor for jacking. Very nice video.
Thank you Sir! I am so far beyond thankful for the shop I have to work and play in. Thank you for watching!
Well done... Gives a bit of confidence to see it done by someone else first...!!!
It wasn't as easy as I had expected but getting my fingers in there was the issue.🤣
Thanks a lot, keep it up with the good work sr.
Thank you for watching, very much appreciated!

Getting it done :)
Feel bad I've been holding off that project for so long. Not sure what's next, maybe the high beam LED's.
Great color yellow for then C6 generation.
Agree, not all yellows work IMO.
@@YellowJacketGarage a yellow has to be just right to the specific car. C6 is about as perfect as it gets.
@@JWsGarage it is a pain to match if you need to fix something though. Fortunately I haven't had to.

have you ever did a video on How To Remove the Headlights on a C 6 : 2005-08
Not yet but I do need yo replace my gaskets so it is something I will do.
Did you need to disconnect battery for this? Replacing bulbs?
I've never done that and never had an issue since the bulbs aren't powered on at the time.

The title of your video was adding an LED low beam headlight but you put a hid back in...?? 🤔🧐
No, it was an LED bulb I replaced it with. Thanks for watching and commenting.
