The Nordic Empress was my very first ship. I was 20 & it was the absolute best. At that time, it was huge!! Lol I cried when it was time to leave, as the crew & experience was overwhelming with awesomeness! You never forget your first & it was great to see some memories. Nostalgic @ it’s best! ❤️
First time seeing any of your videos, my wife and I are "nerding" up before we board the Empress next month to go to Cuba. We both loved your entertaining and informative presentation. We also decided we wanted to cruise with you. Lol
i just got off that ship on the 31. but i didn’t go outside at all, I just stayed in the viking longe with the teens club 😂 we also went to the late night snack a lot. it was a lot of fun!!

Great review. I know you advised against longer cruises on the Empress but my 7 night Canada & New England cruise is paid for. It's my first cruise and Ill be traveling solo, so the tiny room shouldn't be an issue. I've stayed in tiny N.Y. hotel rooms. I hope I get a big window in my Ocean view stateroom. I'm looking forward to the shows. I would be that person on the treadmill watching party goers. This was a great vid to watch to get me prepared. 👍
Just booked our Halifax cruise for next August on Empress. The age and size of the ship doesn't matter to us. All I need is a tall cold drink and a deck chair! Great review, thanks for sharing!
Nice video. We booked a cruise on this ship for a 5 night in early october, just the wife and I, daughter will be in school. Have never been on it yet, took a cruise on Adventure of the Seas in March and many various Royal Caribbean ships in the past so it'll feel small....lol! Oh well, I'm happy to be able to go and relax/have some fun. Looking forward to it.
Yeah I’ve been on both and in some ways the smaller ones can be better service less packed easier to get to shore with tender etc the biggest negative is the rocking I find they are quite abit less stable I’ve found and less to do no ice skating rinks for example like on the voyager.
Is there enough to do for teenagers on this ship? We want to go to Cuba and this is one of the only ships that goes. We have 3 girls ages 12-14. Will they be bored?
Bkkersey93 Depends if you like small ships, which is something I do. For me destination is more important than the ship herself. I detest big RCCL ships

I liked your video, but had to stop watching half way through. Please do not spin around so fast with the camera, it literally made me sick. If you slow down or reduce the number of pan shots it would be great. Thanks for your efforts.

I’m getting mixed reports of a solarium. The Royal Caribbean website says it has one, but I’ve yet to see a video that shows it.
Ship preference is really subjective. I actually enjoy smaller ships like this over the huge ones.

Keep in mind this is one of the oldest/smallest ships in the Royal Caribbean fleet. But personally I do prefer Carnival over Royal Caribbean

Depend on how much they like the teen clubs and pool/sunbathing. Could be bored or they could be fine

If you don’t drink 7-8 drinks a day (at least) drink package wouldn’t be worth it. They do provide tap water on the ship
