I set sail on the Royal Caribbean cruise ship Enchantment of the Seas. This Royal Caribbean cruise on Enchantment of the Seas took me to Bermuda for a 3-day stay. This was my first time sailing from Baltimore, my first time to Bermuda, and my first time on an older Royal Caribbean ship. Enchantment of the Seas is the third oldest Royal Caribbean cruise ship.

This was my first ship. It's wild how well the interiors have aged, nothing looks changed and while some of the brown paneling in common hallways is a bit dated, the public venues look great. So many great memories in each place you took us. Thanks for the tour!

Great tour! I was on this ship at the end of Dec 22 out of Baltimore. Another little tip - behind the Oasis Bar there are three spaces on the floor where you can see down to the ocean because that part extends over the water

@karenkrolik7592 Our balcony room was perfect and our boy's enjoyed the cruise (especially the climbing wall at the back of the ship), but we've learned that it's not our scene. Way too many people, everything seems to be focused around excessive food, and by day 4 we were ready to be off the boat. I (Rose) got the dreaded stomach virus and almost didn't make it off the ship in time. Not fun ☹️
I like it when you slowly move around as when you move quickly it creates a seasick feeling.
Perhaps a cruise isn't for you if you get sea sick on land watching a video...😂

I loved Grandeur out of Baltimore. I’m so glad Royal is keeping this class well maintained. We’re thinking about booking Vision next summer. I really like Izumi in the crown and Giovanni’s. I’m surprised Royal hasn’t added those to Enchantment. Great ship tour!

Thank you! My upcoming October sailing switched from the Brilliance to Enchantment and I was worried. I sailed on Enchantment in 2005 but have spent the last 15+ years sailing the bigger ships. It looks beautiful and now I cannot wait to board her.

Sailing next month and I was worried since the ship is smaller than the oasis and freedom classes, but now I’m excited:) I was just wondering does the Park Cafe serve the same pizza as Sorrento’s on other ships? I was so bummed to see there wasn’t an actual Sorrento’s on this ship and I’m worried since it’s my fav part about cruising!

I hadn't planned on doing Bermuda via Enchantment but it's trying to nudge it's way on to my Bucket List. This video however has me really stoked about my upcoming Rhapsody cruise. Just had to check the deck plans for Rhapsody and sure enough where the Diamond Club is on Enchantment is where Izumi is on Rhapsody. I can't wait for that cruise.

After all that I never made it to Izumi. It was sold out every night Ensenada though it never looked full when I walked by on my way to the Viking Crown Lounge. I finally went up in the last night hoping, maybe as a solo, I could get in. The place was practically empty. Still couldn't get in. Turns out they only had one server available for the whole week and the place was more than half empty. Much so about nothing. 🤦♂️🤷♂️
Oh man, sorry to hear this! But that only means one thing. You have to go on another to try Izumi! It’s really great and I’m sure you won’t mind just one more cruise.
Hey Zach, Tampa here. Yep, I'm sailing on her May 11 from Tampa. I really enjoy the smaller ships, and being to most all of the islands, I prefer to stay onboard and enjoy the pool. The excursions can get old, so to run off and shop briefly might be nice, or get a day pass at a resort, however, I can enjoy the pool on ship, not pay the entrance fees and have a beer or two. When the crowds return mid-day, I re=position my butt to a nice quiet spot in the Solarium. Thanks for your video, and sail safe.
Great tour. I love older, smaller ships with atriums. I’m looking a a TA from Barcelona to Tampa on her. I think it’s pronounced “skooner” though.

@@robertspaeth8617We are looking into the Barcelona to Tampa cruise, but yes in November. We can’t usually book a cruise so far out so I’m just keeping my eye on it right now. That’s amazing to be able to do the Athens cruise as a b2b with the TA.
Really nice ship. Royal Caribbean doesn't have much ships in Europe where I live but I will definitely board one when the time is right.
And I must say I absolutely love ships with wide atriums like this one. I hope this will not disappear on all new ships because it really shows the size of the interiors. It's usually the first glance when you come in and add a nice touch to the wow-factor of those ships 🙂

For as old as she is, she really is in great shape. Royal does a great job of keeping their ships in order. Might have to book something on her now.

I have watched three recent ship tours of this ship. By far yours is the best. Do you pronounce Schooner that way as a joke or is it an alternative I am not aware? We are leaving out of Tampa in two weeks.

I also know on some royal ships, the centrum has some acrobatic shows. Do they have those on this ship?

That theatre and centrum are still fare nicer spaces than any equivalent Norwegian has to this day. Im always amazed nowadays how much farther ahead RCI and Carnival are at designing modern ships compared to Norwegian and MSC who are always playing catchup

What are the song names that play in between the clips?
When you talked about the computer services area you said computers could be used if you didn't have yours! Do you know if they charge to use their computers? How much is it and is it per use or for a period of time?
They do charge but I’m not sure how much it is. It’s definitely charged by amount of time.
It's strange that Enchantment, the biggest Vision class ship, has only one specialty restaurant. The Grandeur has 3: Chops, Izumi, and Giovanni's. We ate at all 3 on our first cruise.

Great tour I will be sailing enchantment for Christmas 2022 I've done her sister Grandeur of the Seas and I will be selling hopefully the ship that will be replacing enchantment going to Bermuda July 2023 vision of the Seas

What is the best part of the ship to have your room
Seeing the ocean IMO is a very important part of being on a cruise. Many dining rooms restrict your view of the ocean. I know seeing the waves bothers some people, but it's a large part of why I'm there.
I agree! Even though I had been in the Navy 16 years and have seen the sea at it's best and it's worst, I still love it when cruising! Even more actually because I'm not at work!
I also love seeing the ocean as much as I can.

On port days which bars were open on board?
I’m pretty sure most of them opened in that evening. During the day just the atrium and pool.
What month did you go? Would you recommend going on a cruise in late October/early November?

This ship looks remarkably well maintained and up-to-date. Then again, I expect no less from Royal Caribbean!

You do not. There were always plenty of seats available.
I’m thinking of booking a trip on this ship from Baltimore but I had a question. What is the age group like on this ship during the uncommon vacation months, like Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec, etc.? I’m in my 20s but I’m kind of hesitant to go if it’s predominantly order/retired people. Thank you!

There is a good mix of ages still. Not many kids but there were plenty of folks in 20s-30s.

Hey Zach, considering booking an Eastern Caribbean Cruise on Enchantment of the Seas with Royal Caribbean for later August 2024. Considering this ship due to lower cost overall and the itinerary gets me to PerPerfect Day at Coco Caye private Island. QUESTION: Other videos have criticized the age of the ship as "VERY OLD," old looking, old smelling, old Cabins although a refurbish a few years ago; "Quality of Food," and hit or miss on Entertainment. WHAT IS YOUR OVERALL EXPERIENCE?? QUESTION²: Is the Casino smoking or Non-smoking?? I do NOT smoke. Thanks in advance. Keep up the good work. 😎⛹️♀️🤸♂️🚴♂️

Hi there! The main dining room and buffet and all meals in those locations are included. Unless you do the Chef’s Table or Chops Grille or the Taste of Royal Lunch, everything is included. These other three that I’ve mentioned will cost. Have a great time.

Hello Mark...Having had your cruise,..would you recommend the experience....are there any things to avoid money wise,? and did you find the food good......Ireland.
@@johnlavery6116 John, my cruise was on an early version ship out of Baltimore, Maryland during the winter.
It was a smaller ship compared to the newest ones, but we managed to enjoy the trip.
The buffet food was edible but nothing to write home about. The main restaurant was for dinner and again, nothing exceptional either.
There are plenty of things to do, like gambling in the casino, or playing bingo, pingpong, etc.
All the rest of the restaurants were not free and imo, a tad expensive.
The newer ships have so much more to offer, so our next trip will be on one of those.
The cabins aren't hotel sized, but they do the job. After all, who wants to spend time inside the room?
I suggest the middle of the ship...the choice of window, patio, or just an inside room is all yours. For me and my wife, we think next time, a cheap inside room since we won't spend time inside except to shower and sleep.

Like all ships it does have signs of wear but they have kept it in great shape for a 25 year old ship!
From this video it looks in amazing condition for it’s age. Many guests are moaning about the tatty state of Rhapsody Of The Seas, the poor food and bad entertainment 🫢⚓️🛳️

I am on Enchantment OTS right now with two girls, 6 and 8 years old. They do not like Gaga ball and are tired of coloring. Have been disappointed in the lack of activities and variety of activities for kids. There are quite a few other families onboard with the same issue. Someone in our FB group said it is going to be a long, boring 5 days with kids. Our days in Nassau and Coco Cay were cancelled. So we are at sea starting last night, 11/7 until we return to Baltimore on 11/11. Really wishing we had booked the Oasis OTS out of Cape Liberty. Would recommend this ship for a relaxed, older crowd but definitely not for kids. Perhaps they have more staff/activities during the summer?

Not as big as the new ships but the new ships don’t go to the ports the small ones can….so while most people will see more ship on the big ones, the small ones will see more ports….

I bet I’d still have a good time on this boat as I love to cruise but the enchantment looks like it SUCKS in terms of entertainment compared to the modern royal ships. They’ve come a far way
