I love oysters on the half shell, chargrilled, Rockerfeller. Allum! 😂 and as far as them being an aphrodisiac, I’ve always had some type of cocktail while eating them so “more investigation is needed”

I'm with you Addy! I haven't had raw oysters. I enjoy well-cooked mussels, and that lobster, fish and shrimp looked good! The surf and turf looked good too... I know they say less cooked is better, but we always get well-done. Thanks for this review! Seems like we would enjoy Hooked!

What’s your favorite dish to try at a seafood restaurant? Have you tried Hooked or have you been warned not to?
I love seafood but not raw seafood and the recommendations was never eat raw food on a cruise. With all that's going in May I will try the soft shell crabs, clam chowder and maybe the the lobster. I'm still unsure of which one but for the most part the food looks good glad you enjoyed 👏🏽💯💃🏾
We have never gotten sick from eating on a cruise ship. Raw or otherwise. 😊

Watching him cut into your lemon tart after eating his coconut pie with his fork when you just mentioned you are allergic to coconut about gave me a hard attack at first 😱 Lol; I’m glad it’s obviously not a severe one. Thanks for the video I’m cruising next year and trying to decide what restaurants to try.
Oh its not a severe allergy and i travel with zyrtec and benadryl, just in case 👌🏽
Raw oyster are so good! Crazy thing, when i was hungover once from a party, only thing I could eat the next morning at a brunch spot I went to was raw oysters and fruit lmao
I have since this video become a concert. I do eat them now but still very picky about them. Still a texture thing 😂

So what's the difference in taste btw mussels and what hubby had on a half shell?

Wonderful! Happy early birthday! Mussels have a different texture vs oysters. More similar to clams when steamed.
I missed my chace to try Hooked while on the Navigator. Next time when I'm on a ship with Hooked, I'll for sure give it a try! 🥰😋

I don’t like oysters, but its ok for those who do. My daughter loves oysters. Hubby and I just came back from LA. If y’all looking to visit LA check out This sea food restaurant called Boiling Crab and Fixins. Fixins restaurant is down home cooking and make sure you try their cool aid.😋Brings back good old fashion times!😊Thanks for sharing! ❤️❤️

I went to Hooked Seafood for the first time in April on Symphony of the Seas ... I had the shrimp cocktail (the spiced up Mexican version), the Captain's platter with lobster mac & cheese, & decadent chocolate brownie. Our server, Pupae from Thailand, was amazing ... An apt name for a restaurant because it hooked me & I can't wait to go there again in October/November when I'll be on Symphony of the Seas again.
We had a great time on Symphony OTS. wasn’t the food fabulous!
@@AddyandTerry Certainly Hooked Seafood was. I only dined in the main dining room and Windjammer otherwise. You can't go wrong with any of the Oasis class ships in general, though.
That is what we are discovering. We have only done symphony and wonder but have loved both.
@@AddyandTerry I've only been on Oasis (Feb 2022) and Symphony (April 2023). My joint favourite ships. The bigger the better for me.
Thanks for the review! I've only recently been on Anthems of the Sea and going on Symphony of the Sea for birthday in May I can't wait!! The food on the Anthems could have been better but the staff was excellent. From 2004-2011 I was on Adventures of the Sea, Explorer of the Sea, Liberty of the Sea and NCL Jewel of the Sea. Back than all the food was excellent! Took a break my travel agent who I worked for agency closed. We cruise every year and I was the artist coordinator because we brought our on entertainment on board those were one the best days of my life!!! Happy Cruising😊🎉

Yeah most of our friends warned us not to eat there said they had a horrible experience. So glad we didn’t listen!

No oysters for me. Glad the chowder is good. My last trip on RCCL, we went to Hooked and loved it. Seafood was very fresh.
We kept getting mixed reviews so we had to try it ourselves 👍🏽
I would eat there. The food looks good. Addy really showed her professional chef skills. I’m sure you could put on a blindfold and call out foods.

Ohhh. Hooked. I’ve seen mixed reviews as well. Just like Mason Jar. Curious to hear your thoughts. Yes. The bread is reminiscent of Red Lobster in appearance. Yum. Clam chowder. Never had oysters. Ppl always eating it raw. Would try this because it’s cooked. Hellls no to raw oysters. Addy. 😂. Your body gestures explaining what is said about raw oysters. My hubby is the mussels lover. Entrée time. See that’s the one thing with cruises. No microwave in the room so never box up. The lemon tart looks good. I’ll pass on the coconut creme pie. Addy chewing for days😂😂. Glad it’s good. So looks like Hooked was successful. It’s best to try for yourself. From the server to the chef, the presentation, your seat, portions, heat of food; so many things contribute to the experience. Would you recommend Hooked for a non- seafood eater? I love seafood. Grew up on Maryland crab, however I married a Missouri girl. Beef and potatoes. I would love to try Hooked, but want her to be happy with her meal.
I wouldn’t say it’s gonna be her favorite but they do have some non seafood options…

Just wondering when you choose hooked from your dining package, if it only comes with you’re choice of one appetizer, one soup or salad, and one entrée as opposed to ordering as much as you would like with no extra charge?
Great question 👍🏾 it may vary from ship to ship but we were allowed multiple appetizers but only one entree.

Was it worth doing the 3 night package. First time cruising.. doing the wonder of the sea. Should we pay the extra or enjoy the food included?
It is definitely worth it if you are a foodie. It is also worth it if you KNOW that you don’t want to eat in the main dining room or buffet every night. But for a first time cruiser on Royal, I would actually just suggest the Chops plus one package. That way you get two specialty restaurants and you still get to enjoy a lot of the FREE/Included options onboard. There are plenty!

Yes. The server was right. It would be better as an appetizer not an entree. Delicious but lots of fried food 🍤

No, not really. You can order multiple appetizers or sides. But only one entree. The standard 3 course meal. They will charge you a la cart if you want more than that.

Im glad yall had a better experience than us. But let me explain. The restaurant yall went to was NICE. On Symphony it was like a backyard picnic. Restaurant was awful, picnic tables, outside vibe not specialty, food was decent and I know it is probably better on another ship. Will try it on Allure and see. But on Symphony, will not go there again. I was soooooo bummed.

Hooked was Awful on Wonder of the Seas last month. I was looking forward to the lobster roll and it was a joke. Extremely disappointing with other dishes that others in our group had. Never again!
We have heard that the flavor tends to vary from crew to crew. Hate that it was not a good experience for you.
