    Cheers Pal .. I’m a DIY idiot and have just done 50m2 porcelain and now have the manhole cover to do. You’ve stopped me making a couple of mistakes I would have made and taught me a good few things to follow. Thanks again.. best video out there.

    Another great install Matty so nice to sit back and watch somebody else do it even I picked up some tips when you are cutting the handles out of the centre section you cut a 45° to the corner so the middle piece would snap out much easier I’ll start doing that myself from now on.
    Oh and thanks for the shout out at the end top man all the best Tidy 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

      You’re too kind! Thank you my mate. Yes the little 45* in the rebate makes it snap out easier 👍👍
      The shout out was the least I can do mate, you have helped me so much on here with your shout outs 🙏 I owe you one.
      Thanks my mate!

    Your use of the styl saw was like watching a true craftsman. That only comes with experience.
    Well done, I look forward to the next one.
    If you're in at the planning stage its always good to get any inspection chambers into soft areas like flower beds - it saves days!
    Not always possible I know, but worth bearing in mind.

    Hi Matt, Great job! Brilliant attention to detail. Can you add a link so that we can get the same cover(or something similar) that you use in the job, please(or details of where we can get some)? Impressed by the lifting handles-they look very tidy. The guy doing our drive is about half way through the job. The original(old) covers are onto clay pipes and our contractor doesn't seem familiar with options for square covers that can have pavers in them, so I have been looking for options. We have clay pipes(notice your job has plastic). Our clay pipes are 230mm(9") Internal x 250mm(10") external. So pleased I found your video!

      Glad you got something from it.
      You can take it out just the same way, and just go carefully around the opening, and fill the tray separately. Or leave in but remove it and clean it before it goes off.

    Hi Matty
    What bedding would you recommend for some real yorkstone paving. Some ranging from 2 to 4 inch thick. Not sure whether to use semi dry mix of sand cement or wet mix. Or even just on sand as the weight should hold it and try get them right with the maul. Cheers mate

    • @Brockstonepavingpros
      @Brockstonepavingpros  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi mate, I’d say any of those would work, it just depends on the person laying them and their preference.
      There’s no right or wrong way as long as the base is right and they’re fully supported on the bed.
      I’d personally do it on a stodgy wet mix as there’s more give in the bed, possibly the semi dry. I’d lay some with both and see what you prefer 👍👍
