  • This is part one of the video. this is going to show you how to get to the STVA and remove it. From this point you can either choose to replace the unit or attempt to repair it. I ended up replacing my unit.

      My bike 06 750cc just showed code 29, might it be the same unit that needs replacing?

    • @tunerstrouble772
      @tunerstrouble772  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      C29 is for the position sensor on the actuator. Usually if the actuator goes out it throws off that sensor. Have you had any issues with your stva?

      I forgot to reply to the second part of the question; but yes it did remove the light

      Have you put the sensor in? Or are you asking how to put it in?

      Sorry I never made the part 2, I tried every method I could find to fix it but my unit was just dead. I bought a new STVA and just replaced it.

      I posted another earlier reply but I ended up just genuinely having a fried unit. Kept and eye out for a while and was able to pick up re-maned unit for $120 on eBay

    Did you order your replacement stva on ebay or where was it from?

    • @tunerstrouble772
      @tunerstrouble772  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I got mine from eBay, there is a guy on the gsxr forums that rebuilds them for around $50 I believe. His user name is the geek and he’s like a Suzuki guru

      @@tunerstrouble772 awesome thank you! I was just looking at ebay ones, not sure what component of the stva it is called specifically but the part that mounts onto that black rectangular rod between the mounting bolts is where it failed and is now rattling, hopefully that part is just a mount and not seized up but at least i got the problem found

      @@christiann.1348 you ever fix your problem?

    • @christiann.1348

      @@johnfawaz313 So I ended up replacing my STVA and STPS and am still throwing the same c28 code as well as my bike not allowing me to go over 7k rpm now. I have no idea where to go from here because its almost worse now. Everyone else seems to have good luck after replacing but my issue is either somewhere else or I got a bad STVA, not sure. Both tested fine ohm's wise so that leads me to believe i'm having some really strange issue

    • @johnfawaz313
      @johnfawaz313 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@christiann.1348 I'm thinking the other option would be your ECU? Try using contact cleaner for your ports and connections because i've heard they can get dirty.
      Also, there is an alternative which is getting an STV eliminator on ebay and remove your butterflies. It tricks your ECU into thinking the STVA is connected and will remove the code but you MIGHT or might not lose low end torque.
