I have loved Bach all my life and never heard this perky beautiful piece before. What a wonderful combination of Bach and Vivaldi. I have listened now for 30 minutes looping the piece. THANK YOU!!!🧡💛💚💙💜
you were remarkable then and now 2 years later you just get better - you are assured of a remarkable future- ps Barenboim was only 17 when he recorded all Beethoven's sonatas (the first time) and played them all from memory - I saw him play in Sydney in the 1960's when he was 17 - I can still see him now - you will be the same Jan- people will remember your playing at your age then and many years later hopefully still performing.. Best wishes from Australia.
One of my favorite pieces for organ - awesome playing! Your videos also helps composers who are starting out for writing for the pipe organ. I noticed how your feet moved on repeated notes in the pedal at 00:15. This could inform us on the capabilities of how the feet move in relation to the notes/speed of playing for more complex pieces. Thanks so much!!!
Your talent is outstanding. You should contact Dr. John Sinclair -Head of Music at Rollins College, Winter Park, Orlando. He would probably book you to give a concert and that would open a lot of doors for you. I wish you very good luck with a wonderful career ahead of you. Bravo Maestro.🎵🎶
@@excelsior999 very welcome. I have a good knowledge of all of Vivaldi's concertos, especially the l'estro armonico set of 12. And I love the music of both Bach and Vivaldi. Bach transcribed several from this set for keyboard instruments.
@@rykelkharg2903 I totally agree. You are no doubt aware that there are certain self-styled "cognoscenti" who carp that Vivaldi "copied himself too often." I was somewhat taken aback when I heard even Maestro Itzak Perlman say that "Vivaldi wrote the same orchestral piece 100 times." In all fairness, that criticism of a universally acclaimed Master is not entirely without merit - but so what? He wasn't the first major composer to "recycle" a good melodic phrase or chord progression. One should also keep in mind that the first musicians to play many of Vivaldi's works were teenage girls (some even younger) who were students in his Residence for Orphaned Girls, and repetition is one of the basic tools used by all competent music pedagogues. In any case, no composer can be charged with plagiarizing his or her own work - right?
@@excelsior999 Completely agree. In any case, I could cite many Vivaldi works which are unique in their musical construction and are not repetitions of anything. This includes especially his many vocal, choral, operatic and religious compositions. I would add that many composers have authored compositions with a wide range of quality, appeal and popularity, including even Bach (whom I regard as the greatest of the Baroque composers). I do not think that the "pot boilers" they sometimes churn out detract in any way from their best masterpieces.
Outstanding! Please let us know if you would like to come to America to do a concert. We may be able to help you do that. My church sponsors a concert series every year and we have had international organists perform. -Dave
Of course EVERYBODY KNOWS the correct attribution is VIVALDI-Bach Concert 😮😮😮 Many valid Musicians have ARRANGED some Vivaldi's Concerts (Bovet Isoir et al.) and the EDUCATED rule is VIVALDI-Bovet VIVALDI-Isoir etc. 😮😮😮 SAME when they arrange Bach : BACH-Sgambati BACH-Segovia BACH-Busoni .. PLEASE be fair and honest 🌺🌺🌺
I thought we buried the "sewing machine Bach" years ago. Obviously not. Sorry to strike a discordant note, but I thought the 21st century was when we truly rediscovered the agogic accent, ie phrasing through rhythm...

J.S. Bach hätte seine Freude daran! Bin begeistert.
🎵🎶 TOLL!
Love, love, love it! Thanks, Jan for "bringing on" a happy spell.
You're always welcome here!! ☺️
Like his style. Best I have heard in awhile!!!

Bravo! Marvelous playing.
Q - What is the original work by Vivaldi which Bach adapted to create this concerto?
The original is Vivaldi's concerto for two violins in A minor [ l'estro armonico Op 3, No 8 ].
@@rykelkharg2903 Thank you.

Fantastic! Greetings from Ukraine!
OMG! I love it! It's just perfect! Can I use your interpretation in a short film of mine?
Go ahead! ☺️
Wunderbar, so schnell das Tempo, willst Du damit etwas beweisen? Es hat mich aber sehr beeindruckt👏👏👏
Eigentlich nicht, nein! :)

Wonderful playing ! Where is this organ ?

There ARE TWO MORE MOVEMENTS.....
To my ears this is just one hectic rush of sound with little shape or understanding = notes cascading along wildly.
