Just got my very first isopods as pets and I absolutely love them! My little Gestroi Boys are SO active- always out and about, exploring and eating. And they're so dang cute!

I love this! It turned out great! I'm using one of the small sliders for a starter colony of Porcellio flavomarginatus! It's perfect for them and there's enough height to it to add lichen sticks since they love climbing. 💜
Love it! Yay isopod content!! I use primarily tarantula Cribs for all my isopods. I have 7 enclosures, two of which are medium sliders. So good to see TC featured for an isopod build
The setup looks great, and I approve of the species and morph choice…one of my personal favorites. The concave cork bark will allow them to get away from the damp substrate when they want to 👍🏼
Thanks for the video. I have to crack a joke though.. they used to say about people who took a ton of supplements and vitamins.. you are just producing some very expensive urine. Here.. you are producing some very expensive soil! Still cool stuff.. I enjoy the challenge of getting these critters to really thrive.
I love isopods so much, they're just so freaking cute! I definitely need to keep some in the future. This seems like a fun project too, I might just need to do this 🤔
I don't think I'll be able to convince my husband to let me get isopods...bummer. Thankfully he has started accepting tarantulas so I think there's still hope. 👏
I own a few species of isopods, Porcellio Lavis (Milkbacks, dairy cows, and whites) and Porcellionides pruinosus (powder blues and oranges, and oreo crumbles), and dwarf whites. They're in my Burgundy Goliath Birdeater's and Vietnamese earth tiger's enclosures as a cleanup crew along with springtails.
idk why it just like clicked in my head to use your sliders for my other inverts?! i guess my Ts and spiders are my highest priority and maintenance so they get the nice high quality tanks? idk but now i wanna transfer everyone over into the handful of empty ones i have
I keep leaf litter in there but also give them fish food flakes, leafy greens or vegetables. Mix it up so they have some variety. Mine also really love morningwood.
A beautiful enclosure really adds to the enjoyment of raising these cool creatures.
