Learn to stealth it saves a lot of ammo just saying and if you are playing this for the first time play on light or very light till you know the game better a lot of gamers think this is going to be easy and play on hard don't do that to yourself or your watchers always check your ego at the door.
I totally agree that no one should play on Hard during their first playthrough, even hardcore gamers... UNLESS... they are interested in a challenge and willing to be frustrated.
