    Our Flavor of hay doesn't have to be conditioned, Most of the farmers that grow it use a basic disc mower Kuhn is the norm, WE had one last Year but sold it and bought 2 320 easy cut Krones......You will be amazed at the complexity and the simplicity......Today we mowed 80 acres in 5 hours....Walk around review coming....Stay tuned

      Ill be waiting for your review video.. Here we need to condition the crop or the stems will never dry.. grass hay would be ok but with alfalfa it needs to be conditioned

    I just bought a 316. How many hours or acres are you cutting before you flip the knives over? Or do you even flip the knives over? I have heard some guys just use one side and then change the whole blade. How did the serrated knives/blades work versus the standard ones?

    like the steel crimpers looks like a geat machine like that it only has one belt . bet it will make you happy for a long time, shure looks like it is made simple to ajust.

    Like I said before I want a 12' My hay needed to get cut on Monday but we finally got a rain and then I went on grade 8 camp to cook for the kids and we were really hot so now I have some flowers on the outside of the field so hopefully I can get cutting tomorrow but as I'm writing this we are having a thunder storm so my hay probably won't be getting cut in the morning.

      GOtta have rain to make the next crop though..... getting dry here!!

      I'm better to cut hay dry because of the mole hills and irrigate after the bales are off. I hate having to rake hay out of regrowth but I had rain on every cut last year and my second cut laid for 3weeks. We have had 1.5" since March so we are dry

    Is there any way to pivot it so that it pulls "longways" so it can be taken out on the roads or through narrower gates?

    • @tedkahler9738
      @tedkahler9738  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      not on this model... and im not sure if any new Hollands have that option or not

    how do you like the direct drive compared to the old belt drive? ever have issues with the belt slipping on the old mower?

    • @tedkahler9738
      @tedkahler9738  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I never have had any problems with the belt slipping on the old mower but i never owned it very long. but so far i think the direct drive is as good and even maybe better. Sure cleans up the hood on the machine so it doesn't collect so much stuff!

    looks to be a solid mower.How do you find the rollers for vibration on the tractor?? I have never run steel rolls.

    • @tedkahler9738
      @tedkahler9738  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I dont notice any vibration to the tractor . Seems to run really smooth

      Good day. Here in Elmira area the old order Mennonite started to make their own conditioner, with steel rolls with finer gears or crimp, to snap finer or closer together, more snaps in stem of grass, they think this better,? I think they might be made in Flordale, 2 miles from Stoltz Thanks

      are you talking about tubeline???

    • @younggunfarmer416
      @younggunfarmer416 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was under the impression that the steel rollers vibrated a lot and were loud.Maybe its an old wives tale..

    Did u check the spring tension on the header when we got are new one it was way to much

    • @tedkahler9738
      @tedkahler9738  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I did check it it seems to be about right. If the ground was damp i might have to put more tension on the springs to take weight off the head but as of now it was good

    How's the serviceable?

    • @tedkahler9738
      @tedkahler9738  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      So are it has been easy but not sure about the gearbox oil drains and changing that oil if it needs it. I have no really had it long enough to do much maintenance except grease has a few more u joints than i really like but so far it hasn't been to bad. Seems way easier than a sickle machine but only time will tell

      seems like I need 2 grease guns to be able to grease our 8312 case
