Those Apron links require no tools. I believe they are called "T-Bar Chain Links." We had a JD 44 Spreader that the Apron would break a lot, and the links were a bit difficult to fix. So we bought a whole new T-Bar Chain Link Apron, thinking "This will be easy to fix." We still don't know, because if never broke again.
Would have much better if you would had just one video going

Are the alfalfa seeds being sprinkled on the surface or are they actually going into the opening with the oats? Im interested in doing this and have the same drill.
@@outdoorking69 in row with oats. Set depth for alfalfa oats be set back some but if wanting alfalfa set depth for that
Thanks just what i was looking for
My bailer for some reason does not wrap, but I keep having an error on the monitor saying actuator. What does that mean?
@@scot519 more than likely actuator is not going home. Either actuator is going bad or power or sensor problem
I need to purchase a service manual for a 955 12/23 row is there anyway I could get information on this
Hey, What percentage or ratio did you use when you seeded your field? 50/50? Thanks!
15 pound alfalfa 60-75 pounds oats. Separate boxes on drill
@@tedkahler9738 That quite interesting. Local farmers around my are usually do 40% alfalfa but we all do it differently. I was reading a lot of articles that actually suggest clear seeding alfalfa right from the start as it can yield a thicker and most consistent crop but it's dependent on a few factors, erosion being number 1. I'm contemplating on that and wouldn't be opposed to trying straight 100% alfalfa and see what happens. I tried it on smaller 40x40 and was pretty happy with the results.
@@DylanLogger I have done both biggest thing if you do it with a cover crop hay it off early so the cover doesn’t compete too much
@@tedkahler9738 About 2-3 weeks thru you'd say?
@@DylanLogger say cut before companion crop heads. Or if alfalfa shows stress from being dry
My bailer won't go back to home

Hello, how are you keeping the spray tank agitated? With a separate pump , or does the handler keep recirculating?
The sprayer itself has seperate pump but this handler uses a 2 or 3 inch pump to move water around
@@tedkahler9738 I'm ignorant in theses processes, please confirm that the handlers 2" pump is agitating the sprayer volume of liquid or the sprayer itself is using its own recirculating pump to agitate chemical mix?

Hello, I have a br7090 new holland baler and when the wrap gets low, it will start wrapping the bales and will not stop.
Would guess either brake is too loose or the little wheel that counts the wrap is binding up on something causing it to not touch the roll any longer
Hello, I'm having a issue with my case baler. ( your monitor is the same as mine) in manual mode the it won't retract. No clue. Any help appreciated.
Hello. What do you apply to oat hay during harvest? I am from Poland and I am very interested in the issue of oat hay. How long does it take from mowing to harvesting? At what humidity do you harvest hay. Great production, great farm.
Ted what happened to you
I’m still alive Lol
Ru going to make more videos
I'm sure he'll let you take a sample if you agree to pay for the hay test
What variety is this and where did you find it? I'm going to put some haygrazer out next spring to see how it does for hay. Do you have any tips for this stuff?
I would be afraid that my camera would get baled.
Did you ever make a follow up to show the improvements you worked out with Blattner? I know this is an old post, maybe I missed it??
Blattner made a custom length panel that I used and it has been fantastic. Any other questions?
If Im understanding correctly, you changed the length of the swinging panel where the double tapers to single. Did you shorten it so it swings back to center sooner? Really great video and like how your cows work through so easy. Thanks for sharing.
@@kevinroberts175 I lengthened the last panels on each side since I’m not using the palp cage since my chute has one built in. The original ones were too short so get a cow or big calf to stop behind the first no back
Well maybe I should say in front of last no back
Jesus, Ted, the bales just keep on going! Magnificent work.
I need one of those ‼️
Who has the chopper ???
2:20 lol
gotta br780a. knives are broke and knife assembly needs to come out due to rusted bolts breaking on the knives. any advise to pull the assembly out so i can retap the bolt holes and put new knives. thanks
Little late seeing this video, but hopefully you can provide some insight. We have the RB 564, so a red new Holland. It ran great until we changed the netwrap. Now it’ll make the bale but won’t engage or Pick up the netwrap.
Why not offset rake and avoid driving over the windrow.
worked on a registerd belted galloway cow calf operation for almost 5 years. never had my arse kicked and beat so much by an animal. BATSHIT CRAZY
Is hay grazer good for horses?
I believe it’s not recommended for horses
Ted I have question on br 7090 why would the net wrap stop working when there is 1.25 inch of net left on spool I have to re thread the net every time any ideas thanks
Very possible the counter or the roller that measure the net going on is hung up and not touching the roll. Also possible the brake tention is week and not cutting good as the larger roller has more tention on brake
thanks for sharing. would appreciate any input on the heartiness of this product. any cracks yet?
Still have the same mower can use pretty hard only minor stuff wrong with it
IT looks almost magical machine leving a beautiful ground with a windrow in the middle. Man it is tall
I have the same mixer, will be my 3rd winter with it coming up. Love it.
This looks like the big swimming pool you showed me when I came over to work calves.
My br 740A net will auto extend and wrap but won't auto retract. I have to manually retract every bale
Good chance the sensor needs callebrated. Check out book for instructions
Should have removed the duals
No I shouldn’t habe
this must have been drought '17
Nice square windows, has the twinstar been trouble free? We are looking for a new rake, you think the extra $ is worth it vs a wheel rake?
Glad to see you making videos again great content!
I really like how these front net systems operate. I just bought a BV4580 Kubota and its a very similar setup. Works great.
I had that happen to 2 rows when I had my 1200. Called the dealership out because I couldn’t figure it out. They said the 2 rows were planting and I needed new seed tube sensors. Finally I figured it out the next day.
Have you ever figured out cost per bale? And how much inoculant per bale?
Hi Ted. I have a cropcutter 644. When the bale is full it catches the net and starts wrapping. Then an error sounds on the box and the net keeps going. It does not retract the actuator itself. You can manually retract it on the control box and guess when there is enough wrap applied and retract fully and it cuts properly. I have replaced the sensor on the wrap roller. Any idea what to look at next? TIA
Have you tried to calibrate the actuator
Thats my question why do so many farmers cut back and forth rather then around a field ???? Much faster cutting around then turning around each time. Maybe for chopping I could understand...but other wise........no reason !
It’s faster and more efficient back and forth…..
@@tedkahler9738 No possible way it can be faster....theres no stopping when going around the field !
@@jerrylansbury9558 but the circle get small at the end… you can’t cut corner nicely in square pattern. Can’t take around said corner well or even ball around said corner. If you want Starr a timer for every operation in hay field…. I have it’s more efficient on 1/2 mile loving rows to cut cal and forth
Hey Ted's Back! How's planting progress?
its nearing completion
We have that same kind of Baylor but we're having problems with the hay getting stuck up in it before even goes into the machine itself!?
teeth being weak can cause issues
Good to see you again

Ever since I got a cornhead with knife rolls on it my cornstalks don't cause any more random little things on the planter like that! Ive been in your shoes with chains knocked off, sensors unplugged, air lines ripped off lol
we have a head that chews them up pretty good but some of the custom stuff i do i just have to shake my head
Boy the craziest things can happen. I hope some time in the next few days I can Get some cane planted.
hope your able to
Corn stalks can and will do the most messed up unimaginable things to trucks tractors planters bailers things you would bet the farm against it doing but never ever count out a corn stalk like rocky in the 12th round type stuff 😊lol😂
yea that is for sure
Hope you guys keep getting some timely rains now!
oo man that would be a blessing....has been kinda rough for a few years
@@tedkahler9738 and yet as farmers we just push forward lol. Looking forward to more videos Ted!
Do like not having markers on the planter or would you rather have them on ??
OOOOO i guess id rather not have them just more hoses to blow and cause issues.... i had them on my last 16 row but blew a hose when folding them up and smashed my hopper and caused a load if problems..... also seems on bigger planters they end up getting bent or broke anyhow
