Giddey is much younger and almost a for-sure great new addition to the Bulls; Caruso is almost too old, and is a proven defensive commodity. Giddey could blossom, making this a better deal for Chicago, but he might fizzle, and end up being very average. Giddey personally needed a new home (for his off-the-court misunderstood non-crimes), and OKC as an organization pretty much had to move him along. Instead of bringing the very offensive Giddey off the bench at OKC, they now can start a defensive star like Caruso. This trade should be good or great for both teams.
Everyone saying robbery but Caruso is an expiring contact that would get 4 years 20 mill next year and all the young guys in Okc will be payed soon so I’m not sure how it will work out later on
The perimeter defense for OKC is huge… the lineup of SGA, Caruso, Dort, Williams & Chet… if they can get more frontcourt talent, OKC can be a damn good team
Good trade for both OKC don't need more scoring but the perimeter D Caruso will bring is what Holiday brings to the Celtics. Bulls will get more scoring and a way better passer a healthy Zack lavine and giddy in the back Court not bad and he's 21. Caruso is 30..
I think the Thunder saw how impactful Jrue Holiday and Derrick White were in the playoffs and they said Ight let’s recreate that here with Dort and Carsuo because now if you look at Boston and OKC the way they are constructed are really similar position by position all really OKC is missing is they’re al Horford they need to get a big like hartenstein
Im a lifetime lakers fan. Been watching since analog tvs in the living room w/family really being together locked in on the game. I love Alex Caruso. Hope to see him leading his own team asap tho
Pairing Alex Caruso with Mark Daigneault is massive. Daigneault was the G league coach of the Lakers when Caruso was just getting in the league. I imagine this will accelerate Caruso getting comfortable with the team on/off the court.
People forget he was one of the key players for the rebuild. At the time he was constantly up for ROTY and is a solid player. Remember in march when everyone was fawning over him again. That's the minimum of how he used to play. Let's hope the bulls put him in the right position.
@alimfuzzy absolutely. SGA was rightfully given the reigns to be the ball dominant guard in OKCs offense but that took away from the lime light of how good Giddey is and how much potential he has. People are sleeping on Giddey and ultimately that will work to his advantage.
Ya I love them getting Caruso. Now they just need another big man that can shoot so they can swap out big vs small lineups. Someone who won't be expensive and can shoot a bit would be jonus from the pelicans. He a free agent has size can bang with the bigger cs in th league and can stepnout and knock down shots shifting chet to the 4 jdubb to 3 dort 2 shai 1 in big lineups. I like that alot
I like giddy, you just have to be willing to accept who he is instead of who you want him to be. He’s good with the ball, he’s good attacking the rim, he can get you some rebounds, he’s a good passer and in general he’s just a positive all the way around. That didn’t work for OKC because they want to go for a championship now and a good all-around guy helps the mediocre team be competitive but it doesn’t make a great team a champion.
Bulls fans think about it…Lonzo comes back primary ball handler for starting unit, then Giddey comes in as the primary ball handler for the second unit. Call me crazy but I think that sounds decent actually 🤷🏽♂️
This pretty much means that Chicago is pulling the trigger on a rebuild. Which means that they'll most likely trade both Lavine and Vucevic (and trade DeRozan in a sign-and-trade)
Caruso Is a "Thunder Guy." He loves Coach Daigneault from his time with the OKC Blue. His shooting will get better working with Chip Engelland. Thunder now have 2 of the top 4 season steals leaders in the NBA AND Lou Dort "AND" Chet. The Thunder D is going to be lights out. Turn up the AC!
If OKC gives Caruso starter minutes, he’ll be a wreck physically by the time they’re in the playoffs. He’s 30 and plays like a wrecking ball. It would be smart to have him play 20 minutes a game and play him more when absolutely necessary.
I think this is good for the bulls, a young dude (who likes even younger girls😏) who is on a longer term deal, who can be a key piece next to C. White for the bulls to continue to be a mid team once the rest if the vets fade away or get traded.
I feel it has to be a worse grade for Chicago. If OKC had sent Giddey AND one of their many 1sts I still would have said OKC won the trade. The fact that all it cost to get Caruso was Josh Giddey, who very well might be damaged goods at this point bc of his confidence, it’s a huge steal for OkC
Josh Giddy is going to be a good player; remember his only 21 and already had gone through more than most. People have doubted him from the beginning. The bulls will be the winners imo.
Like the trade for the Thunder but they still don’t have enough size. Should look to get either Hartenstein or Nic Claxton. Or maybe even Brook Lopez. But man, Thunder are gonna be good for a while. Just hope they play the long game like the Celtics did and don’t make impulsive moves.
Bro I just do not understand this logic. How, literally how, on Earth is Giddey ‘not’ a better player than Caruso? There is just no way people are really this dumb, right?
@@lasershow017 How can you say that when you’re not in their front office? You’re at home like all of us playing couch GM. You don’t know what the market for Caruso was.
Caruso is one of the best perimeter defenders in the league, super athletic and 40% from 3. He’s a championship piece.
Everyone saying robbery but Caruso is an expiring contact that would get 4 years 20 mill next year and all the young guys in Okc will be payed soon so I’m not sure how it will work out later on
Lavine is next, where do we think he's going fellas?
Kings
Probably back to Minnesota for kat
nobody wants em
Sixers
As a thunder fan, hoping he’s like a Derrick white
As a bulls fan I do love Caruso but I hope Josh giddy does good for us
The perimeter defense for OKC is huge… the lineup of SGA, Caruso, Dort, Williams & Chet… if they can get more frontcourt talent, OKC can be a damn good team
The Thunder now needs a stretch big. Very doable. They should be genuine contenders next year.
Bulls fans Josh is a really high upside player. With a great attitude. Think it will be good for yall. Happy to have Caruso tho.
Yes you’re right ! I’m excited for Josh watch he ball out
@@growing.grounds4054 just needs the ball in his hands which we could not do because of SGA
Good trade for both OKC don't need more scoring but the perimeter D Caruso will bring is what Holiday brings to the Celtics. Bulls will get more scoring and a way better passer a healthy Zack lavine and giddy in the back Court not bad and he's 21. Caruso is 30..
I'm just glad Caruso went to a contender 😤
Full details TRADE ?
I think the Thunder saw how impactful Jrue Holiday and Derrick White were in the playoffs and they said Ight let’s recreate that here with Dort and Carsuo because now if you look at Boston and OKC the way they are constructed are really similar position by position all really OKC is missing is they’re al Horford they need to get a big like hartenstein
They need depth too they are way too thin imo to win a ring.
I’m surprised Giddey got traded so quickly . But as a okc fan I’m happy we got Caruso
Josh Giddey is a great piece for the Bulls, I don’t care what anyone says. They’ll give him the role he’s supposed to have.
100% agreed.
He isn't starting with the Bulls current roster.
@@noloveforthehaterstheir not some making moves
I think its a good trade for both
For OKC it was perfect jeez
And Caruso is an experienced vet player who is like a coach on the floor. Good for a young team.
Giddey is the replacement for Lonzo.
The writing was on the wall for josh diddey
Okc needs bigs but good trade
Are OKC in the market for Tobias Harris? Sounds like they need a power forward/stretch forward.
Only thing we lose by losing Giddy is having an extraordinary inbound passer😂😂😂
This pretty much means that Chicago is pulling the trigger on a rebuild. Which means that they'll most likely trade both Lavine and Vucevic (and trade DeRozan in a sign-and-trade)
Giving B is very kind. How the F the Bulls didnt get a frp when Giddy's stock is low?
Caruso Is a "Thunder Guy." He loves Coach Daigneault from his time with the OKC Blue. His shooting will get better working with Chip Engelland. Thunder now have 2 of the top 4 season steals leaders in the NBA AND Lou Dort "AND" Chet. The Thunder D is going to be lights out. Turn up the AC!
We want to see the highlights dude make yourself a thumbnail. I like your narrating tho ijs
OKC needs Jonathan Isaac
Trade idea. Who says yes/no? Cavs receive: Cole Anthony and Jalen Suggs. Magic receive: Darius Garland.
As a bulls fan I truly hate my life
Worst trade I’ve ever seen
Fr im so pissed about it the bulls had all the fucking leverage in the world and they fucked it
Josh Giddy is going to be a good player; remember his only 21 and already had gone through more than most.
People have doubted him from the beginning.
The bulls will be the winners imo.
perfect for OKC
Like the trade for the Thunder but they still don’t have enough size. Should look to get either Hartenstein or Nic Claxton. Or maybe even Brook Lopez. But man, Thunder are gonna be good for a while. Just hope they play the long game like the Celtics did and don’t make impulsive moves.
Bulls win trade. Josh 21 Alex 30
Giddey has 11 triple dubs and 54 double doubles in 3 years
Caruso 6 double doubles in SEVEN YEARS!!!!
OKC has the depth to hopefully limit Caruso's minutes and keep him healthy. Let the less experienced players develop.
As a bucks fan I’m livid. We could’ve probably had Caruso
People exposing themselves for being casuals by saying the Bulls got fleeced lmao
Bro I just do not understand this logic. How, literally how, on Earth is Giddey ‘not’ a better player than Caruso?
There is just no way people are really this dumb, right?
All jokes aside I like Giddey for the Bulls but it sucks they didn’t get a single pick for Caruso. Caruso for the Bulls is such a great pickup.
He'll fit right in with the identity liberals in Chicago who protect pedos
Its stupid ik bulls had all the leverage in the world meaning they can demand more in a trade and yet they didnt. Incompetency at its finest
@@lasershow017 How can you say that when you’re not in their front office? You’re at home like all of us playing couch GM. You don’t know what the market for Caruso was. We assume it was more but if the WG could’ve gotten multiple firsts, they would’ve. And the Thunder have way more leverage. They have the picks and the young players. Not the Bulls
Screw the picks man ! They be drafting guys like Terry and sub par players idk why ppl want the bulls to have picks so bad.
@@growing.grounds4054 Ok so you’d rather then be a consistent tenth seed and if they’re lucky a first round sweep year after year. Sounds like a great plan.
So yall really believe a team was gonna give the Bulls 1-2 first round picks for AC just because he’s a good defender 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Bulls probably should've bargained for 2 2rps. But I like Giddey. I reckon he'll improve lots in Chicago with having a greater amount of the ball. If Chicago go into full rebuild, then I reckon Giddey could be on for MIP. B+ for Bulls. A+++++ for OKC. Gave up someone who they don't need for someone who is extremely valuable in a skillset they needed. Nuf said.
