Didn’t mention that youngin Cason Wallace coming off the bench at all, his defense was amazing for a rookie a very underrated young piece moving forward for Okc.
And he takes good shots in the flow of the offense and is efficient.
The Bulls front office needs to be fired.

He's right. The front office is horrible. Could've had players like Markkannen, Franz Wagner, Wendell Carter JR but no they decided to trade all of that and got ONLY VUCEVIC out of all of this thats on the team rn.

That's exactly what I've been thinking. Boston suddenly looks like the new blueprint for an NBA team, and the Thunder are the only team close to having the same level of two-way depth. Adding Caruso is a fantastic step

They are definitely built similarly. You could even go as far to compare J will off the bench to their Horford and Wallace is a mini holiday or white. Now with Caruso he can be their Jrue holiday. He isn’t as good offensively obviously but he makes the right plays. Once Chet figures out his offensive game in terms of creating his own shot and figuring out how to use his size to shoot over players they will be finals contenders.
As a warrior fan, im so jealous. We wanted Caruso for so long and OKC just swoops in and take him just like that😭

Crazy that warriors ran 2 screens and caruso still contested. If his play stays consistent he will help boost the thunder into the finals. We watched the celtics and mavs switch possession after possesion to try and get good matchups. Caruso and dort might be able to limit that switching. Great steal for the thunder.

A lineup of Shai, Dort, AC with some of the best on ball and help defense AND Holmgren blocking everything is going to be a nightmare for teams.
They can’t act like he’s not arguably the best defensive guard in the entire league. He’s that good. And he shoots around 38-40% from 3. Not some defensive juggernaut who’s simply an offensive liability. He’s a 2 way player😮

Let's not forget to mention that the Bulls have a train wreck offense, if you toss Caruso into OKC 5 man offense and how many drives SGA and JDub take, he's going to have so many more open options.

Caruso is a Derrick white type player. He will move the needle. And I’m a Celtics fan so Derrick white is a legend around here and that compliment isn’t given to many by me

He's 30. Caruso will be good two more years, and he'll play another two years after that.
Once OKC gets their interior force from the draft or trade, this WILL be a championship team within the next 2 years

Sad the Lakers Front office didn’t know better than media and Newcomer fans(like me) to know to keep your players like Caruso and Dwight and run it back after a chip instead they went after a horrible offseason after the bubble instead and Had Lebron and ad push to play w Russ on a mega Deal instead of a smart front office like the team who just won it all
The team that just won it all had smart guy Danny Ainge and then even smarter guy Brad Stevens running the front office. About 90% of their moves in the last few years have been real winners. When they make a wrong move, they admit a mistake and quickly move on. The Lakers haven't had that kind of front office for a long time. Magic Johnson was a legendary Hall of Famer, but he picked Brandon Engram instead of Jalen Brown, and then Lonzo Ball instead of Jayson Tatum. Even I, a Celtics fan, feel bad for those moves. I mean, OUCH!!! You picked ahead of the Celtics in both years and let Tatum and Brown go to the Celtics. That parade we had last Friday? Could have been in L.A.

Bulls should've asked for atleast 2 picks for compensation of aquiring player that is useless on both ends. 2 picks is the minimum value of caruso. Giddey is essentially a salary dump.

The only argument would be offensively but Cason has lower volume compared to dort and both are good shooters
The only way it makes sense to trade dort is if Carsuo Resigns for multi year deal

I think people are making a big deal about the Caruso-Giddey trade. Nine years is a lot of miles to trade for a guy who:
1. Never achieved any accolades.
2. The Bulls still missed the playoffs with him the last few years.
3. Caruso missed a lot of wide open 3s last year. I watched those games.
4. Giddey did average 16, 7, & 7 at 20 years old, which is much better than Caruso ever will, and he’s only 21 years old!
1. NBA Champion, recent two time All NBA Defense, Hustle Player Award
2. The Bulls made the play in because of him. Without? They'd have even missed that. Without further changes they may make or miss the playoffs again.
3. It's not what you miss, its what you make. And when. 40% on 4.7 attempts per game is good. Giddey is no better and lacks the skills and impact to make up for a bad shooting night.
4. 16, 7 & 7 does not impress. He's 21? Does he want a cake?
Okc has turned a corner. Josh was left behind. Caruso was not brought in to get 16, 7 & 7. Presti isn't done yet. We're building a Championship, playoff ready team. Giddey was given an opportunity to fill a role off the bench. A great opportunity. He declined. Said it himself yesterday. "At this point of MY CAREER I didn't want to come off the bench." Great! You know who will and not complain? AC. So good luck with your play in team, Josh. As a long time Bulls fan I know you're gonna need it.
@@jdh9676 Don’t get me wrong, I completely get it. Josh Giddey could be on a similar path to Michael Carter Williams and Tyreke Evans, their best seasons was really early and they fell off tremendously.
Also I’m very disappointed in the Bulls organization overall. The owner does not care. I think Caruso fits better for OKC than Giddey because SGA & Caruso were top 3 in steals last year.
But anything can happen in the next 2 years (let alone 9 years). All I’m saying is considering the pros and cons of both sides, the trade may end up being even or in favor of Giddey, more than people are willing to admit.

I'm baffled at the perception that this trade was good for OKC. 2 yrs. ago Giddey averaged 17/6/8 in only 31 minutes per game. In James Harden's last season at OKC he averaged 17/4/4 in 31 minutes. What all of you are about to see in the next few years is Giddey going off and it won't be at the level of what Harden became but it's going to be incredible. You don't trade a 21 yr. old rising star like that. This was an ABSOLUTELY IDIOTIC trade and I promise you Sam Presti and OKC will find that out very soon.
Except Giddey isn’t a good enough offensive player. He can’t create is own shot and is horrible at shooting so I think okc did an amazing job getting rid of him as early as possible.

James Harden had a 66 TS% to Giddey’s 54.7%, there’s no comparison here.
Not to mention all of the standout “swing traits” like the ability to shoot the ball, and athleticism.
It’s more about fit than anything. With Chet and Jdub turning into the guys they are, and Shai becoming an MVP candidate who needs the ball a lot, there’s just no way to make Giddy fit with the rest of the team. They sent him somewhere he can have the ball more, and they get a really great role player in Caruso.
It’s not always about ability, it’s about fit. And Giddy just no longer fit on the Thunder
