I wish we had men like Jeffrey Sachs into the future, I think he could lead us in a peaceful future and would make a great competent president with a government of competent sane rational people with open minds.

The Psychologists would be able to explain the apparent cultural differences around the world, starting with "Parallel Play" in Early Childhood Development of Mind-Body conscious awareness sensory information realisation, "vertical independent" concepts of Freedom are only loosely interdependent relative to later Stages of Development and Adult Child cultural adaptation to the requirements of social stability and integration. Economics and Psychiatrist symptomatic drug alleviated adjustments to stable Social Educational outcomes, are counter indicators of Mind-Body Health.

“A different way to allocate resources”. Wow! from someone who was once one of the high priests of free-market allocation. I remember his prescription for the Russian economy after the fall of the Soviet Union. A total disaster for most of the people

One big problem today in the world that prevents us evolving as a species, a compassionate one is the lack of implementation of knowledge that are just published and then gathering dust on shelves.
We elect selfish people as leaders mostly, who serve other self centred very smart class of people, who make sure these agents talk sweet to keep masses at bay and work on their game.
People like prof Sachs are a rarity and his energy and dedication is commendable. He is a real hero, not the usual ones society venerated.
These qualities need to be taught and celebrated in schools if we want consistent change as we cannot trust the invisible hand to do the job.
Just get out of prayer halls/ lecture theatres and act as this is Gods work/ humanists/ aethiest"s work too.

Has Sachs read his teacher's more recent writings? I suggest he start with Dr. Phelps' Mass Flourishing.

Dr. Sachs has a utopian vision, but it seems unlikely to come to pass.
individuals and countries will pursue their own objectives that benefit themselves. What Dr. Sachs presupposes that these entities will put their goals aside for those of others.
For instance, America created and drove the global system after WWII and invited the world to participate. Now Americans see that this system has hollowed out the USA's industrial base, damaged the middle class, and pushed many down the economic ladder. It is now clear to both the American Left and Right that globalism has limits, is no longer working for the USA, and this means that Americans are increasing degree opting out. This impacts trade and the interest of Americans to sacrifice even more for others. It is also clear that America and to some extent the democracies of the West will strategically detach economies from the Chinese police state as geopolitical competition increases.
Global governance is viewed with increasing skepticism by many Americans. It seems unlikely that in times of fiscal stress that Americans are going to turn over much of their wealth (and drive up deficits even higher) and give this to the UN or other global institutions. This impacts efforts on climate change and massive globalist redistribution of wealth proposed by Dr. Sachs.
For Mr. Sachs utopian vision to come to pass there needs to be a clear value proposition or cost benefit analysis. If that fails then his vision does not come to pass.
Lastly, a year after this presentation (September 2022) it is now clear that the Chinese COVID response has been a disaster with endless lockdowns of entire metropolises, the ineffective CCP Chinese vaccine, poor Chinese vaccination rates, and unending economic and supply chain disruption. Perhaps the CCP can learn from the West.
