Sensible assessment. I don’t know why this has largely been ignored by the mainstream media in the West and Japan.

Why is this great man's wise words so much ignored? Why are mainstream media not carrying his tireless warnings for peace and human survival? Why do I have the feeling that the world is not picking up the broken pieces to meet the challenges for peace and not war, for goodwill and not hate?

I agree with most of his comments about the behavior and non-cooperation of international leaders. The WTO and WHO failed to enhance the world's cooperation. Both world organizations are corrupt and fail to act on behalf of the world. Instead, they acted as puppets for some corrupt nations. However, the speaker did not express the threat of China's "Belt and Road". Instead, he just commented on how the U.S. is accusing China of baseless facts. The speaker simplified China's threat to the world and made no mention of China's trade war with Australia and Lithuania.

Like any other country, China has the right to defend its legit interests by any means possible.
Tariffs imposed on imported Lithuanian and Aussie exports is not equal to punitive sanctions.
They are still trading with China

Why belt and road threat world peace? Is China building military base along that? China silk and road also passes through Ukraine. Russia will complain if it threats its security

The US is the real threat, their blind and ignorant pursuit of hegemonic power is leading all of us to the abyss

    • @briananderson8428

You're thinking, unfortunately, like an American Neo-conservative, one hallmark of which is to be threatened by another nation's success and smart choices. It's a zero-sum thinking. And getting into the nitty-gritty with specific trade conflicts (China--Australia/Lithuania) at a conference like this is going way beyond what a keynote speech should address. I understand that you are worried about China's aggression related to expansion in the South China Sea (and now they're working with Russia), but look at what the US has done in its hegemonic philosophy globally. While we were spending $5 trillion on two failed wars, China was incorporating 70 nations into its Belt and Roads Initiative. I'm sure you already know this. We also completely sold out our domestic production to China under Bill Clinton and successive presidents. We're currently pushing Russia even closer to China by giving $55 billion to Ukraine and letting Finland and Sweden into NATO. We have no grounds to complain at this point. The destruction of the US has happened--and continues to happen--from within.
