Something I like about the first Antasma fight is that Luigi dreamed it. I mean, seriously, it's literally all a dream by Luigi, and right after the fight you find out nothing happened and that the blimp flight was a safe trip. Luigi literally predicted this game's main antagonist. (That or Dreampoint shenanigans, but oh well.)

I know some are pointing out the Robo-Drilldigger unavoidable blast as damage, but it's unavoidable and not even damage, just part of a cutscene disguised as damage. You can let every single Robo-Drilldigger attack to that point hit you and the cutscene attack still won't KO you. Immediately after you go into a rhythm mushroom tutorial, making it if anything an unavoidable *healing* section and you do this over and over until your whole meter is filled _and_ it doesn't even count as a turn (you get to attack _immediately_ afterwards).

I remember fighting the Elite Trio after playing Bowser's Inside Story and I was pumped as hell that we FINALLY got to fight them. 3 of my favorite characters in the franchise and it felt like we were truly fighting Bowser's army as Mario. It might not be a super memorable boss fight (the Antasma fight was really the only memorable fight of this game, but its admittedly a high bar to reach), but damn was it up there for the M&L games for me specifically.
Loved this game. The music, gameplay, story. So much potential for a part 2. The only thing this game did not need was the giant Luigi battles. This is Bowsers type of battle. They could have easily came up with something for Luigi. That and the battles take wayyy too long. Plus if you thought the giant Luigi battles were bad, try the mode where you face stronger versions of them with a limited number of turns. You'll see how bs those battles can be.
nah the giant battles are great, they develop luigi character, it goes from luigi is scared to him earning the confidence to help his bro... anyways the gameplay of the giant battles is also good, the only "bad thing" is about not missing an attack or defense because it would kill you or you could do 0 damage
@dothe564style gonna have to disagree. Giant form has always been Bowsers thing. Not Luigi. His Luiginary powers were just perfect for that. The giant battles to me were just a recycled concept because people loved it in Bowsers Inside Story.

There's only 1 flaw in this entire series:
Alphadream went bankrupt😔😔😔
@@Shadex_Joestar And plus, Paper Jam's not really a good Game, at least that's my opinion
@@Shadex_Joestar 2 actually
the tutorials
What makes dream team my favourite mario and luigi game is how creative the enemies/bosses were and the music. I could listen to those battle themes for ages, plus antasma is my boy
Edit: the humour as well. amazing game.
I remember when I was young playing this game
It was my first introduction to Popple, and I thought it was his debut game
Then I saw gameplay of Superstar Saga and was like "wait, was I supposed to know who this guy was?"
One thing I loved about the Mario & Luigi series was the music. They’re such bangers
1:56:04 now that’s gotta hurt
8:35 too
I felt that one
I think Bowser's soul lefthis body at that point...
8:36 the taco bell sound timed perfectly since grobot hitted his balls
that aint taco bell
36:34 For some reason, this sound is so much more satisfying than lucky hits. I looked far and wide for this specific sound effect and found nothing. Are all sound effect dumps of this game incomplete?
The first time I saw antasma, I was thinking he was a candy (0:05)
probably the longest game nintendo has ever made
Botw
@@ratabreak3902 ”alphadream” ever Made Nintendo only owns the MaL RPG licens
@@Vibester0206 wait so they did nothing else?
Can we appreciate the fact that Popple dealt exactly 69 damage?
Edit: You can also attack Popple.
At least he’s trying to battle
34:56 seems like we found the culprit of all the earthquakes
1:55:13 I love Bowser’s commitment of “Go Massive” no matter how stupid he looks.
1:52:07 I like soundtrack in final boss is remind me Epic Anime Battle and op is Likely Fairy Tail and Date a live
In this world there are 2 types of Mario&Luigi players:
Those who find all tandem attacks
Those who only have the easiest to find/only the first one that is unlocked
Antasmas theme goes hard
Big Massif is somewhat silly… but I’m surprised that you managed to beat beef cloud in literally two attacks!!!
Actually, all seemed like easier than cake to you! How’d you manage to pull it off so easily!?!?!?
@@T_the_Smeargle overleveling
@@supermaximglitchy1 ? Isn’t that boring though? I tend to avoid as much conflict as possible, yet still am strong enough to make progress for some strange reason! This doesn’t just apply in this one game, it applies to all game dimensions!!!

Awesome to see Luigi hammer-throw Bowser. ^^
Mario: I'm so proud of you, Luigi.
It was cool of Luigi encouraging that blue hair guy to try his best and defeat him and Mario but deep down, he totally regrets saying that.
Man, Luigi really gave Sorrow Fist confidence when he was feeling down. That was really nice of him to give him that kind of confidence.
2:04:46 Behold the pleasant and precious Pi’illo Island
…I still have this game….I can’t forgot the boss music
Forget
No forgot
1:56:33, 1:56:36, 1:56:37, 1:56:40 and 1:56:43: So long, Bowser!
4:00, 4:01 and 4:02: JUMP! (1:05, 1:06 and 1:07) (1:10 and 1:13)

6:59, 7:03, 7:06, 7:11 and 7:14: SHELL STRIKE! (7:31, 7:35, 7:38, 7:43 and 7:47) (12:36) (36:23, 36:27, 36:33, 36:39, 36:45 and 36:47) (37:28, 37:34, 37:40, 37:46 and 37:48) (53:23 and 53:26)
48:15 and 48:22: NYAHAHA!
1:13:01, 1:13:02 and 1:13:03: KO!
1:40:49, 1:40:50, 1:40:51, 1:40:52, 1:40:53 and 1:40:54: End this now!

2:09:11: (BOWSER JR.) No no no no NOOOOO!
2:09:53 and 2:09:56: Bye bye!
Awesome video you got skills for no taking damage
It's all about timing in these games
@@plentyolsoup5044 yes
What an amazing game.
*Funny, cool video 👀❤💖👍*
It's so fun seeing the "run away" attacks royally screw over the bosses
Never seen anyone dodge Bowser Jr's fire rope attack, didn't even know how it ends, outstanding job!
That ending, considering all the changes, the Pi'llo kingdom can really become a tourist attraction. That will help it out
I don't care what people say about these games their a masterpiece and you can fight me on that
Starlow: Need a badge lesson?
Player: No
Starlow: lol not my problem
PEOPLE HE DID TAKE NO DAMAGE FOR 19:59 THERE IS NO WAY TO AVOID THIS ATTACK (also its impossible to not take damage in the giant bowser fight thanks to the spear guys)
I remember this was the first Mario and Luigi game I got. Oh the memories.
I remembered i accidentally beated a boss "dreamy mario from antasma" when i was still 7-8 years old
I kid you not, as a kid i spent MONTHS on Pi’illodium because i could never beat him before he self-destructed
I love the fact you temporarily side with Popple from Superstar Saga.
The way Mario runs towards giant Luigi is the definition of skedaddling and I won't hear otherwise.
Luigi deserves that vacation for all his hard work.
49:59 It's Private Goomp, corporal Paraplonk and Sergeant Guy from Bowsers inside story!
50:09 AND THEY HAVE A BANZAI BILL BLASTER!!!!
( only inside story players will understand the reference)
I kid you not i have played this game 3 times in between 3 months and im currently trying hard mode for a 4th playthrough now BECAUSE DREAM TEAM IS SO DAMN GREAT HOW COME YALL HATE IT
I love Dream Team. The main reason I think people dislike it is because of the LONG tutorials which I admit is a problem but it personally doesn’t bother me that much. Also a lot of people prefer Bowser’s Inside Story but personally I like Dream Team better.
@@thealmightywholesome7193 exactly the same opinion… too bad they couldnt keep this momentum going
Paper Jam is the worst one
Luigi invented the dynamax.
1:03:15 The slow mo guys (watching this at 0.25x)
How many times did that spin!?
About 10 times
(1:57:12) IT LOOKS LIKE BOWSER IS BLASTING OFF AGAIN!
Mario and Luigi: Sayonara!
Pokemon reference
15:20 timing was nutty on the finishing blow with the music
Certified King of Skill Mario Party Superstars Main 😎👍
I am so glad this game exists
This game was my childhood.
My fav of the serie so far
Big shoutout to Luigi for being a clinical narcoleptic
Controversial but o think dream team had the best soundtrack in the series next with bowsers inside story.
Who else loves it when you chase Jr in the clown car?
8:36 this robot is not gonna have kids
