That’s true. This also reminds me of Mario bros 2. The entire game was a dream. Mario dreamed of the entire gang conquering their fear of anything and going on a dangerous adventure. That also says a lot about how Mario feels about his friends.

Yeah, the character development is really good in this game. the writers at Alpha Dream had incredible stories and ideas. Bowser even had his own shine is Insides Story. Sad that they went bankrupt because their major projects were on the 3DS, and everyone homebrewed their system. Sad :(

I think that's one of the main reasons I love Dream Team. It really shows Luigi's growth to the point Bowser respects him enough to remember him. Also the music is fire.
For anyone having difficulty with dreamy bowser here’s some tips: 1: make sure to have zee egg and star rocket bro attacks 2: use the badge combination of miracle and gold. This will prevent enemies to be frozen for 3 turns (so this will prevent bowser from healing) (make sure to use zee egg and star rocket while they’re frozen) 3: make sure to take out the arms first 4: the badge meter will very slowly charge up so make sure to battle enemies in bowsers castle first to charge it up and have at lease one badge ability already available for battle. (You won’t have enough time to charge up the meter during battle so do it beforehand) 5: when bowser is in the background don’t waste your time defeating all he enemies in front he will just heal more instead use a taunt ball and throw it at him. He will join his minions and then you can use zee egg on everything.

No one talking about the defeat at 59:36? Easily one of the best showcases of the 3D capabilities of the 3DS, from what I can remember. Super satisfying, and so many colors. That particular defeat scene is easily one of the best experiences I've had on the 3DS, and that's saying something!
It's something new, instead of a paper goomba stack in paper jam and the bowser's fights. This game was the mario e luigi revolution. If only alphadream would have stopped with the remakes maybe now we could have a mario & luigi on switch showed in a Nintendo direct. RIP alphadream.

@@BigMastah79 Agreed, the lack of original characters, the toads being super tedious to save, and the soundtrack being, imo, inferior to the other 4 games, made what was an otherwise superb game pretty subpar compared to all these other masterpieces. To be fair though, the former problem wasn't really an issue with Alphadream - they were restricted from making new characters by Nintendo.
Well, this isn't actually 3D, its more like 2'5D. They are 2D sprites but with a lot of detail in a 3D envoirment Edit: except for the battles with giant Luigi, that is 3D

You also can't die to it if your health is low enough, you'll always survive on a tiny amount of health. (I've been playing through on hard mode, that's how I know)

If you want to experience something awesome, just listen mario and luigi bowser's inside story final boss theme at this time: 2:00:45. it fits so well holy crap
Nah adventures end is more fitting and epic for this specific battle. Because in the final has a "saving the world from a being weaker than you" feel, while adventures end has a more "fighting a god" feel to it, which is exactly what your doing.

So this person STILL hasn't beaten Antasma X without damage. I mean, why else would the video be cut in the middle of an attack and then zoomed in so you can't see Mario's HP?
13:00 I remember struggling on this part. Mainly 'cause it felt like Mario wasn't turning fast enough. Also, at that distance, it was harder to judge the distance from the fire walls. Eventually, after failing a few times, I were forced to try again in Easy Mode.
Actually FYI the game doesn’t explicitly tell you this: but the more Mario moves left and right, the slower he becomes. So you’re only supposed to move if absolutely necessary. For some reason this only happens in this Boss fight.
I remember playing this when I was younger and just wondering wow this games really good all the time through my play through. The music the dialogue and the challenge and adventure was just so fun ❤️ probably my favorite handheld video game right next to pmd explorers of sky.

It's not thaaat hard, if you fight with every enemy in every site you will have a good level The only time that I die was in the Trio fight, and that was because I'm so stupid that didn't use a mushroom
So about the Giant Dreamy Luigi vs Giant Bowser battle, Luigi is about as tall as bowser, but, taking into account how Luigi is much smaller than bowser (twice the height, twice the width), Luigi is giant-er than bowser (for the first phase). Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

I’ve always loved the mount pajamaja fight you fight a literal freaking mountain, and also the antasma is one of the best bosses in the Mario and Luigi games

I love the giant battles of this game because Dreamy Luigi gets to be the lead fighter. And Luigi is my favorite character. It's amazing that Luigi gets the spotlight for once!

Inside Story is probably the *best* game in the M&L series objectively, but Dream Team is my favourite. I have over 100 hours on my main save file I've had since I was a kid and have replayed on my secondary save multiple times. This game, alongside 64 DS and Mario Kart 7, was my literal childhood.

It's been a while since I last played the game, but from what I remember, you can stomp the Zeekeeper as he charges at you during the part where you have to dodge by jumping or ducking.
Has anyone realized that some of the giant battles are the same from BiS? Like the mountain boss reminds me of train boss, the final ones are in a dark castle theme and even the one facing a tower with both ends just bodies of water. Tell me that I’m not the only one.
Anyone else notice the audio splicing at 2:23:29? Also the random zooming in just enough to where you can't see the health during the fight starting at 2:23:37. Seems kinda sketchy to me.
Seems scetchy. Wierd thing is that I no hit Antasma X in hardmode But I also only had dodge 3 attacks since the Duplex Crown with hyper offensive Mario is broken
I love that because he was so overpowered for almost every single fight he barely had to worry about taking damage as the battles would end after only 2-4 or so turns

i did a full run with just jumps and the hammers. it was hard, but fun. no bro attacks, no ingame items.

Agreed, the lack of original characters, the toads being super tedious to save, and the soundtrack being, imo, inferior to the other 4 games, made what was an otherwise superb game pretty subpar compared to all these other masterpieces. To be fair though, the former problem wasn't really an issue with Alphadream - they were restricted from making new characters by Nintendo.

Nah adventures end is more fitting and epic for this specific battle. Because in the final has a "saving the world from a being weaker than you" feel, while adventures end has a more "fighting a god" feel to it, which is exactly what your doing.

I had trouble with that boss. I had to use Easy Mode. Even then it was pretty tough! Still took me quite a few tries until I discovered the trick!

13:00 I remember struggling on this part. Mainly 'cause it felt like Mario wasn't turning fast enough. Also, at that distance, it was harder to judge the distance from the fire walls.
Eventually, after failing a few times, I were forced to try again in Easy Mode.
Actually FYI the game doesn’t explicitly tell you this: but the more Mario moves left and right, the slower he becomes. So you’re only supposed to move if absolutely necessary. For some reason this only happens in this Boss fight.

Dream Team was actually my first 3DS game. I loved the storyline and mechanics of the game and enjoyed the giant bosses.
So about the Giant Dreamy Luigi vs Giant Bowser battle, Luigi is about as tall as bowser, but, taking into account how Luigi is much smaller than bowser (twice the height, twice the width), Luigi is giant-er than bowser (for the first phase). Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

Inside Story is probably the *best* game in the M&L series objectively, but Dream Team is my favourite. I have over 100 hours on my main save file I've had since I was a kid and have replayed on my secondary save multiple times. This game, alongside 64 DS and Mario Kart 7, was my literal childhood.
