Watching this on mine that I just bought last week. It is expensive compared to other laptops but definitely worth your hard earned money... I was hesitant to buy this before because I got used to Windows setup Baka kase manibago ako with the functions but it was such a breeze and very easy to use. I enjoy it a lot = )

@@thom_baga No po, wala pong free Microsoft Office. The Macbook only has the Pages, Numbers, and Keynote as alternatives for MS Office.

Great review po! I also have one and i've been using it for almost a month already. It's indeed very efficient. I am very lazy to close apps lalo na if ioopen ko rin later but I never experienced thermal throttling, no lags as well. I have my school essential apps + multiple safari tabs open while playing games and listening to spotify, but it still runs smoothly. Also, the battery is truly reliable. Mine lasts more than what Apple claims at my normal usage, minsan umaabot pa ng 24 hours or more.
** though mine has a small dent already as I forgot to put it in a safe place before I slept :

@@edem6783 lahat naman po pati old models and even windows laptops may issues po. sa M1 po, i experience bluetooth connection issues at times, which is not really hard to handle. yung bugs din po mostly sa software, maaayos din po sa updates.
@@edem6783 if you're planning to get one for studies or work po, mostly wala naman pong maeencounter na bugs. check niyo na lang din po if yung software na need niyo is optimized po for m1

@@jamelavillafor5969 as far as I know po, sa apple site po kayo magpapa-upgrade. Hindi po kasi available sa mga physical store ang 16GB RAM. I was also planning on buying the m1 mba with 16GB RAM but since I was skeptical on buying online I might just buy the huawei matebook 14 AMD, it has 16GB RAM and 512 GB SSD.

Got mine 3 weeks ago. Can open multiple tabs with NO lag at all. Battery is solid. Panis ung Dell ko. Very powerful! This is a worthy buy.

pretty good, battery life is tremendous hence 'game changer' used it for streaming netflix puyatan. pero february pa babalik classes for me so we'll see. overall its excellent, I highly recommend it for students, I don't know about the professionals.

But I believe ang context ko dito is the M1 chip is base sa ARM architecture which is similar sa A13 Bionic and the likes. The M1 chip is basically like an "A14x" chip :)

Yes! But it really depends with your work. The base model is perfect for school work. If you’re transferring any huge files (30 GB+), then the 16GB RAM is perfect for you.

Hindi pa ako nag kaka macbook, nagtiis ako sa dell icore3, na napaka bagal para lang maitawid ang online class ko. Ngaun na nakapasa na ako sa B2 Allgemein exam ko, tumawag mama ko, ano daw gsto ko regalo, buti nlng ito ang napili ko, ayoko mag pa bili ng mga bago dhil mahal, okay na ako sa old model bsta mabilis at maggmit ko sa further schooling ko. ❤

I reccomend by mba 2020 m1 chip. After a yr kasi with huawei matebook 14 medyo malag na and minsan nagccrash. Okay naman yung both sa online classes pero sa magandang investment na kasi yung mba.

Sa SSD capacity naman po mostly document lang naman at mas prefer ang cloud storage. Pero let say within 3 years, kakayanin pa kaya ihandle ng SSD yung mga upgrades/system update or additional app as needed ?

get the 16gb/256 if you have the money. Chrome eats a lot of ram, no questions about the M1 CPU tho. For updates, iOS won't release updates that won't support your device so ease some of your hesitation if hardware can still run latest OS.
My deal breaker would be cloud storage. I mainly use google drive and the problem is iOS (mac/iphone) has some issues syncing automatically on the background. Onedrive has 'bedtime sync' funtionality but you just get 100gb standalone option versus 200gb google drive. iCloud is the most viable option just 1.8k/year 200gb storage. Super smooth if you use apple ecosystem. I just don't like the idea of being tied to apple ecosystem for now.

Macbook Air is not really for gaming but if you want a macbook na pwede pang gaming isuggest you buy Macbook Pro 2020 the higher the storage the better
