Maybe it's an Ezra show. I'm assuming Ahsoka season 2 will take place primarily on Peridea which means we don't really know where Ezra will pop up next. Maybe an Ezra show could have him working with the New Republic to try to deal with Thrawn and along the way he reunites with Zeb, Hondo, Rex, etc.
That would be awesome. I did just see an interview with the actor that plays Ezra on the Katee Sackhoff Podcast. He didn't say anything. However, just the fact that he is doing a press tour might imply that there is something to what you say.
the “Mando-verse” should’ve been one big _Game of Thrones_ -esque show, with a defined story over a pre-determined number of seasons, with a big ensemble cast, including the likes of Mando and Ahsoka, and also recast portrayals of Luke, Leia, and Han, etc… and _Andor_ could’ve been the same, just in its own timeframe. and then they could still have their one-off shows, like _Kenobi_ or _Skeleton Crew…_ but they’d have to be good 🤷🏻♂️
As I said in a previous comment, I wonder if Disney tells their show runners they get alotted a total amount of minutes for a whole season. Do math and most of the SW shows come out to comparable run time when comparing shows with equal episode counts with slight variation.
Hey Thor, I've been watching for years and this is my first time commenting. I just wanted to thank you and Naboo for your videos and insight, I've loved the channel and always look forward to uploads. I have a question, what do you think they need to do in order to get the Ahsoka show 'back on track' so to speak? There was potential there, but they missed the mark on so many levels, including their treatment of Thrawn. Could they even make the show better?
My theory is that after the Filoni movie (which Thrawn will die in) they’re gonna go all in with the Wild Space/outside the Galaxy stuff. There will be an exodus of Mandalorians out of the main galaxy so future Mando seasons will take place there. Maybe this new Filoni show is a Mando spinoff centered around Bo-Katan and will set up the Mandalorian exodus? Afterwards, the big conflict will revolve around the Grysks who are attempting to take over Yuuzhan Vong-style, the First Order will also appear (and maybe absorb Pellaeon’s fleet) and later on Snoke will show up.
I am a fan of not fluffing up an episode just to get a longer runtime. Tell the story as it is written with the natural breaks in the story for the week long wait for the next episode.
I think that Star Wars (and Marvel, actually) should go back to something Marvel used to do with its MCU DVD releases: A thing they called 'One Shots', which were short segments that explored some overlooked element of the MCU (Like Coulson talking with another SHIELD Agent about what they would do with The Abomination, or what happened to "The Mandarin"/Treavor Slattery after he was arrested 😂). Ashoka should have only been planned as a two season show (maybe three at most), and "The Acolyte" certainly as a One Season show (no 2nd Season teasers, just start a new story if you come back....which didn't happen, so......)
That would be great to see another Mandoverse show. Basically, the only Star Wars I even care to watch is the Mandoverse. That is Star Wars to me, considering it comes immediately after Return of the Jedi (which is the last Star Wars movie I watched.
My biggest hope is that we get one last win for Luke, Han, Leia, and Chewie. Have them partake in the fight against Thrawn (at least Luke) and give him one big send off. After that do whatever you want (old republic wouldn’t surprise me) but it would be amazing to see a bowed tied on the mando time period in that way and then move away from the skywalkers
Why not go back to a bounty hunter series? Shortly after we got the cute Muppet, it stopped being about that. The spin off will probably be bo katan related, though bring back Cara Dune is conceivable.
Nothing like it was in the EU. Fuck, Filoni's too damned selfish to consult Thrawn when using him in Rebels and Ahsoka. Filoni wants his characters done HIS way, and he wants _other people's_ characters done HIS way. This is why I don't like Dave Filoni.
Honestly, I just don’t care anymore. If he makes another series, and it looks good, I’ll watch it. But I’m just not getting excited about anything new Star Wars anymore.
Difference, the EU was crafted by people who wanted to write for a larger universe. Filoni doesn't care to adhere to the shared setting, it's all about selfishly doing what HE wants to do.
I don’t like Dave anymore. Always so secretive, plus I didn’t like hearing he edits out all the good stuff (dialogue, drama) to highlight the bad stuff (lucasfilms shitty cgi and bad action scenes)

I dont care how long the episodes are, as long as they are good (thats the bigger challenge)
Can't wait to watch Thor & Naboo break down Skeleton Crew!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS !!! 🎄💙🙏
Dave has his favorites. So thinking about that, it'll be an Ezra/Sabine/Hera/Chopper/Jacen TV show of some sort.

All these Rebels cameos, and Filoni can't even bring back the original trio to have them save the day, lol.
Thanks for doing the advent calendar properly. My son bought it and has opened them all up already.

It is a funny thought... What if "The Mandoverse" actually spun off DSW into a separate universe as the sequels?

Yeah a second season.
Clearly having the execs in charge of creative direction reminds me of how the music industry died.
Not even Dave Filoni can get around to making his Star Wars movie lol

Filoni has never been good for the Mandalorians, and what he's doing is a further bastardization.

I completely forgot that skeleton crew was a show ied got it in my head that it was a film.
Mando S3 killed my interest in the “Mando verse” but I’m glad some of yall are still enjoying it.
Oh shit! I have the same advent calendar! My gf got it for me and a Harry Potter one for herself, we love building legos together.
I just want consistent episode lengths especially when Mando s3 was a flop in episode lengths
If we make it to the final episode of Skeleton Crew without any lore recontextualization I’ll consider it a win.

Nope, you're asking too much from Filoni. He's coming to shove Ahsoka and all the other TCW/Rebels crew down your throat, and you WILL enjoy it.
Tired of Filoni's Action Figure Theater... I need more as a grown-ass adult. Really looking forward to Andor S02!
Why not go back to a bounty hunter series? Shortly after we got the cute Muppet, it stopped being about that. The spin off will probably be bo katan related, though bring back Cara Dune is conceivable.
Still looks to me like a bunch of stuff most of which will never get made.
We could be getting a Thrawn/ Empire series.

I'd rather have shorter episodes for Disney Plus shows. I guess it doesn't matter as long as the pacing is good.
Looking forward to Skeleton and hope it lives up to the hype. Also looking forward to new projects from Dave
Honestly, I just don’t care anymore. If he makes another series, and it looks good, I’ll watch it. But I’m just not getting excited about anything new Star Wars anymore.
I see no reason it can't continue indefinitely just like Luke's story in the EU 🤷

Choking
@@Lord-Emperor-Vader Would that be the Darth Vader and Osha legos?
Don’t care anymore. Idc how good it is, I’m done.
If Filoni is near it, it's gonna mess up more stuff and he'll only wanna highlight half arsed things he's made.
He's such a strutting peacock. Never saw what the community idolized about him.
Another Filoni Mandoverse show? Don't know anything about it, but I'm already uninterested.
