"Table full of narcissist, in a good way, because you have to be a narcissist to be a content creator..." 🤣🤣🤣 Love your videos man! BTW, I'm adding Evil Dolphin race to my Star Wars campaign. How do they not exist in Star Wars as villains??!!!
The standing, widely accepted by a handful of people is that the Kiminoans are the ancient ancestors of dolphins that fled the Star Wars galaxy after the destruction of their home planet. The trip was exceedingly rough on them and they began to devolve and crashed into earth where they were fought by Neolithic warriors and pushed back into the sea. There they wait, biding their time, filled with a hatred for humanity.
Holy smokes, this was surprisingly insightful. Love your insights and perspectives, eye opening for sure. I hope this show does well, I feel like Star Wars could use a definitive win.
I think part of the issue now adays is that echo chambers are like holes in the ground and they are very easy to fall into because they make us feel safe. I've been in several and had to really swallow my pride and admit I was wrong or arrogant about things I thought I knew all about, it's tough to really know how fragile but also how tough the world we live in is.
@@Ian501st. With echo chambers, it is really hard get out of and learn from our misconceptions. And when you do, it is too often such a hard break that it is extremely easy to fall into another echo chamber that holds to the exact opposite position. So sadly, we don’t really learn much.
"Cop Car" was great. The casting was excellent. The child actors were fantastic. So I'll give the showrunners for knowing how to cast just the right people. I'd assume that it was made on a small budget since a lot of the movie takes place with a car in the middle of nowhere. As long as KK doesn't go all heavy handed in the series like season 3 of Mando, they might be okay.
Reading comments over the last few years, it seems that the kids are the ones who "get it" and it's the adults who just want simple plots and flashy laser sword battles.
I was raised in Colorado in the 80's! What the hell is going on now? A law had to be passed, for kids to do what we did 40 years ago?! Our timer was streetlights! Damn we got soft, and ridiculous...
Sounds to me like they are on the right track. My hope is maybe kids will see this show and discover this concept they hadn't considered and maybe redirect a few or at least open their minds to other possibilities. Plus, this nostalgia ideas sounds like they will be trying to bring the heart of what they feel Star Wars is into the show.
Personally, I am hoping for Goonies: Space Edition. And if they could get Corey Feldman as a bizarre alien in there somewhere, that would be great. Wouldn't even need to act. Just let him be himself. (It would be glorious.)
Can confirm. I'm a grown man who loved Stranger Things, and even went above and beyond to dress up for the Stranger Things Experience in Seattle. This show is right up my alley.
I definitely remember not having as much content like we have today. I would rewatch a lot of old cartoons and movies. Then when TH-cam really started being popular you could see ANYTHING... I have some bad memories from early TH-cam. But it was also pretty wild to have so much to see at that time. I take it for granted sometimes.
As a man in his mid 20s I watch people plays games for 2 reasons the first is I wanna see how someone else experiences a game I love the 2ed reason is if I don’t wanna pay 70 bucks for a game but I am really interested in it I will watch a play threw on it
It sounds like a good and solid project that will go well, in theory. In actual practical execution, still leaning towards no for me. Mostly because even if it does turn out objectively good and really rallies a gathering of people who like it… it still doesn’t do much in my opinion. The entire timeline has been shattered by every show previous to this one. All the breadcrumbs are leading to the sequels. And again, the sequels shattered any potential for a future. They destroyed the new Jedi order, they killed Han, Luke, Leia. Completely broke their characters. Wasted the big bad villain that was Snoke, somehow brought Palpatine back, and self sacrificed the last descendant of the Skywalker’s. Nobody had any kind of character growth or deep and meaningful change. For crying out loud they were literally skipping through and speed running most of the last movie! So forgive me if I don’t take these guy’s word for it. Again, no doubt it will be good, but just not good enough to course correct. In fact I guarantee they shoehorn in some other breadcrumbs to sequels.
