Using the word lazy doesn't do gamefreak justice, as it's not like they stood in a room and picked the colors they liked. Flabebe, however, is unforgivable, because that was when they started picking colors

Well, rather than concentrated, the more correct term is actually saturated. Higher saturation means a more bold-looking colour; less saturation tends to be more faded and lighter.

To me the whites are very differnet (don't get me wrong tho it's still a lazy shiny) the one has a very obvious yellow tinge while the other has a blue, i don't know how you could have missed that to be honest

I got Leafeon and Elekid wrong because I forgot that Gen 6 had some sort of vendetta against actual color and forced every Pokemon to have ugly, muted colors, so the shinies for those Pokemon just ended up looking normal since they're simply harsher colorations of the muted color palettes.

Well, aside from Burmy that I've never saw in my life, I'd knew everyone in this list right off the batch haha I've used to breed and train Leafeon soo much in Pokémon XY that even those slight differences are absurdly perceptive for me.
I honestly have never seen Igglybuff and I got it right by basing my decision on "well which one is lighter colored?" This is the general rule of thumb for gen 1-6

Gengar and Garchomp were actually the easiest to spot. I don't know were you got the "Slightly darker purple" and "slighly lighter" because the shinies just look dark grey to me.

While I may not have known which was shiny, because I haven't really used all of these that much, I did notice the slight variants in color. Still, on a smaller screen, like all the devices these games are made for (even the 'XL' versions are much smaller than the screen I watched this video on), it would be very difficult to determine unless you're specifically shiny hunting (which I've never done).
Out of ALL the shiny’s in this video the only one I LEGIT COULDN’T tell a difference is elekid... everything else was pretty noticeable to me but elekid... seriously looks exactly the same

For the people who do not know: They do not manually come up with these shiny sprites. So to call them lazy makes no sense. It's an algorithm that decides the color palletes.
I personally love Shiny Glaceon, it's one of my favourites and proud to own it, sure it isn't much different, but I love the more intense colors and contrast it gains. I don't really dislike Shiny Leafeon as well - got it, too, both her and Glaceon were ones of my first Shinies I ever caught back in Diamond, and both were females, too - although I'd prefer if it's leaves were a different color, for example a nice cyan color.

8/10 For how accurate I was. And I think you might be slightly colorblind, my friend, because all of the Shiny Pokemon you claimed were extremely identical had a visible difference that you could get within a minute. That, or I'm just good at memorizing Pokemon designs and colors.
I once caught a shiny Persian and I didnt even know it was shiny until I ended up using it in battle and saw the animation

the off white and pure white Togekiss hue difference is still there, m8. they just brightened them both so it's even less noticeable!

no you're not. I've been very intensely shiny hunting for a couple of months and telling the regular / shiny sprites apart wasn't a problem.
Wasn't hard to tell them apart.

Smh, he meant he KNEW that the shiny obviously had to have SOME kind of different colour or shade to it, or else it wouldn't be a shiny, but he just couldn't find the difference.
@@matthewstone2545 yeah but the thing is that doesn't make them lazy shinies because they weren't even designed before gen 6, they were just pallette swaps, so just calling one lazy because it doesn't change much is stupid
While I may not have known which was shiny, because I haven't really used all of these that much, I did notice the slight variants in color. Still, on a smaller screen, like all the devices these games are made for (even the 'XL' versions are much smaller than the screen I watched this video on), it would be very difficult to determine unless you're specifically shiny hunting (which I've never done).

For the people who do not know: They do not manually come up with these shiny sprites. So to call them lazy makes no sense. It's an algorithm that decides the color palletes.
I personally love Shiny Glaceon, it's one of my favourites and proud to own it, sure it isn't much different, but I love the more intense colors and contrast it gains.
I don't really dislike Shiny Leafeon as well - got it, too, both her and Glaceon were ones of my first Shinies I ever caught back in Diamond, and both were females, too - although I'd prefer if it's leaves were a different color, for example a nice cyan color.
Unless you caught 2 Eevees on Emerald and then transferred them to gen 4, you couldn't have gotten Glaceon/Leafeon on Emerald though

Until the higher numbers, it's generally easy to guess just by choosing whatever is brighter or more vibrant
