I noticed that snaps were installed for a non-OEM cover. I have the same boat and was wondering what it cost to have the custom cover & snaps installed.

Can't really say how much the cover and snaps cost, since they were done by the prior owner. Having had the factory cover, I can tell you the custom cover is a LOT easier to install.

$8000, which was the going rate for one of these at the time.

Does anyone have experience with adding a wake tower?

I could not hear anything. The leather pants he was obviously wearing must have been rubbing against the stern from 3:50 to 4:10. Otherwise, great video

How much did it cost to rebuild and replace your engines?

    • @craigtiano3455

They were done about 10 years ago. A I recall, the rebuild cost of the engines was about $1200 each plus the labor to take the carbs and pumps off them, remove them from the boat, put them back in the boat, and replace everything taken off. If you had to pay someone to do the labor, you'd be looking at $5-6k back 10 years ago. I imagine the cost would be much higher today, because these are not as common as they were at that time.

If you do it yourself and your pistons aren’t scored up then it’s like $200-$300. It’s easy as hell. Takes 10 minutes to pull a engine and 10 minutes to tear it down.

@@mikeg565 how much did you get for it? I just dug an xr1800 out of the weeds for $500 with titles. Got both engines running but I’m rebuilding them for piece of mind. Basically just new gaskets/ seals and making sure the tolerances are in spec. Most expensive part is going to be throttle, steering and fwd/reverse cables
Cleaned up nice with a wash. I’ll do a video series on it eventually
