I love that guy didn’t show up but said: if you don’t believe in yourself and who will. Probably it doesn’t work at that time but it’s definitely inspiring
The resume advice is amazing. I'm in a similar boat and these videos have helped me a lot with finding out what I want in my career and how I should look for it. best of luck with everything
Your content is so life changing I love how you are so vulnerable in your job search and expressing how you feel and I'm so happy your youtube page is growing
Hello Angie, I trust this message finds you well. Currently, I find myself in a situation similar to yours - actively seeking employment opportunities in a foreign country. It's proving to be quite challenging. I believe our perseverance will lead us to something truly rewarding in the end.
SQL is pronounced "sequel" but is not spelled that way. It is an acronym for Structured Query Language. Like Excel, it is a good baseline technical skill to know even if you don't plan on landing a technical role. I just completed a job search in NYC and landed a good offer. Don't get too stressed, you will succeed!
Going through the same struggle. Also thought about product marketing but love anything strategy. I was surprised when I saw the role you’re interviewing for.
Yes, it goes both ways! If you don't feel good about it, don't take it! Except of course if you must bcs you are out of money and stuff. But we won't like a place for the long term anyway if we don't feel good about it to begin with. Following your journey as I am also on my own, although putting it on the backburner during summer bcs I won't be able to start a job during that time anyway...
Good luck with your job search. So much luv from Korea and I am also struggling with the career transition 😢 I feel you so much!!!!!!!!!!!! Let's keep up the spirit ㅠ_ㅠ❤
The interviewer might have been asking if you had experience with SQL which some people pronounce sequel. It’s a very popular database management language. This is definitely something a lot of tech companies look for.
yep- this was asked during my initial round for the tech company! if i had any experience using SQL, and some other questions about data analysis and other tools I've used
Also thank you so much for the advice overall on the job application! I was hoping if you can make a video about your revamping of your resume and what worked for you and just tips and tricks overall!
I share a bit more about tips and tricks on my tiktok too! But yes, after I land an offer i do want to make a more dedicated video about what worked best for me : )
I've been mostly reaching out to mutual connects now (rather than cold networking), so usually someone makes that intro for me and i would say something like "Hi ___, this is Angie! I recently connected with ____ and was telling him/her about how I'm trying to pivot into ___ now. He/She told me you were a great person to connect with to learn more about ___. I would love to find some time to chat next week about ____ if you're free!"
for analyst interviews/ on the job some technicals you're expected to know: financial valuations (what are the different methods, how to walk through them, which valuation(s) to use for X scenario) excel- basic formulas and functions, you will be running and working with different financial models so should understand how things are connected accounting - have a foundational knowledge of the 3 financial statements, how they are connected, how certain lines impact other statements, etc. also know recent trends, news, and how it impacts specific products or industries in banking

Hi is it possible to transition into investment banking through mba from harward?@@angies_listt
Can you give us examples of networking messages?
I've been mostly reaching out to mutual connects now (rather than cold networking), so usually someone makes that intro for me and i would say something like "Hi ___, this is Angie! interviewing is so lame these days. Everyone so picky and everything is a red flag for them.
I'm 17 and I wanna retired at 21.
How did you pick your mentor?
What kind of openings are you looking for?
Analytical / data side of marketing :))))
What are hard skills required for investment banking plz tell
♥️🇮🇳
