Thank you so much Robin for you very helpful videos. I'm 82 (in Israel) and have been playing the clarinet for over 60 years and 20 years ago began trying to play Klezmer. We had a women's group with flute, saxophone, clarinet and bassoon and called ourselves "The Klezmerettes" - but I knew I wasn't playing Klezmer as it should be played. So thank you once again. This is so helpful! One is never too old to learn!!

Glad you find it helpful Joany. And there's not really any way that klezmer "should" be played. It's more of what was done in the past and how to interpret and incorporate that now. And of course, as you long as you feel something when you're playing the music then you're in the right place.

What make is this clarinet? I have never seen one with a covered low g-hole, also the low keys for the right hand seem to be somehow unusual. :O

I had my horn adapted about 30 years ago when I started having some right hand trouble. Platform key on low G and extensions on pinky keys saved my career.
