I don’t know how it’s possible I just found out about you. But I’ve been living under a rock until recently.I just listened to Elektric Bechet, insane insane insane! The tone, aiy the tone mamish gevald, intricate, modern, perfect. I always thought naftule brandwein was the zenith, but you are the playing legend. My heart exploded listening to you, feat. by WDR BIG BAND - Heyser Bulgar (Rehearsal), the buildup and the crescendo! I never heard anything like it, and I must have heard 100 versions. I hope I get to see you live one day.
P.s. I’m not educated enough to say this, but I feel like you’ve blended the precision of Dave Tarras and the frishkeit of naftule, and then taken it to new heights.

Thanks so much for your wonderful note- the models of klezmer for me are of course Brandwein & Tarras, and I've always tried to find my own voice based on the incredible tradition of these great musicians. I hope our paths cross one day when events are once again live!
