I hate this song! Let me tell you why: I can't make up my mind about what my favourite parts of it are! First there's the mindblowing intro where so much is going on at once, I don't know where you get the inspiration for such a drum pattern, it's mental! Then there's the ridiculously impressive footwork; the speed, precision, stamina you play with your feet at. Then there's the gorgeous fills throughout the song, everything is just right, everytime. Then there's the crisp, fast and beautiful blast beats that you play with seemingly effortless perfection. Then, throughout the entire thing, is just your admirable technique, you make something so complex and difficult seem like you can play it in your sleep. I guess in the end I don't really hate the song, but in fact love it. Thank you for the video, it was inspirational! And I'm so, so excited for your new album, can't wait! :)

The drum pattern in the beginning is unimaginable.
I got lost in the rhythmn for for about two minutes and was just at peace with everything.
Pretty sure I could watch this man completely blow us away on the drums all day.
First of all: I love that Dan puts pretty much every song you could possibly want out on YT. It's phenomenal to watch him work.
But second: I don't think I've ever seen him resort to heel-toe technique. He's exceptionally fast and precise, and can keep it going seemingly forever. Just wonderful to watch the ease with which he demolishes incredibly complex patterns.
It is an absolute fucking pleasure to watch you play, Dan.

I feel that NeO is one of the most refined bands I've ever seen, they're intricate, but not complicated, complex, but reduced. If you can't appreciate them, you're a lesser human, it's not subjective.

Thats insane. Still don't understand how that furious double kick pedalling can be going on underneath but above waist height it almost looks relaxed. Thats plain ridiculous. Bring on the new album!!!

Discovered your band about 3 months ago and been hooked ever since, never thought a violin would work with metal but i gotta say is beautiful. The drumming is phenomenal the guitars awesome, the bass real fluid kinda jazzy vocals killer,what more can i say? Just hope you guys come to the states soon specifically Kansas City. It would be a privilege to see you guys perform.

I do come from a doom background, so this ain't exactly my usual music, but I do believe NeO will make it very big. You guys have so much talent. You could be the next Opeth or Dream Theater.

8:15 always tripped me the FUCKKKKKKKKKKKK out on the album recording dude but now it makes sense seeing what's going on.
I thought you were blasting on some weird tom or something but it's just the snare without compression to separate from the individual hits from the other stick thrown in there

on the record I actually ran 2 snares, the backbeat on main snare and blasting on the side snare
I kiiiinda thought that mightve been the case too but regardless I'd just never heard anything of that sort before so I found it really confusing but now it makes sense so thanks Dan!

You used some things wihich I saw with George Kollias also in other videos, is it your inspiration :)?
I'm curious, how you come with idea that you play 5-6 mins nonstop 200bpm double bass parts in songs? Just, "okay I wanna play so long parts at 200bpm and thats it" :)? It must be hell of training to be able maintain that speed for so long time.
You guys should consider session playthroughs like Wintersun and The Reign of Kindo.
