probably human error, but he's near robotic perfect its crazy! I believe he recorded this with no quantization whatsoever, so everything is as it is

If you're one that's wondering how he doubles like that, it's called finding your niche. Many different ways to achieve said sound. But, his trick is light springs, and utilizing the bounce from the drum head for reflex. Hence why you see his feet doing what they're doing. And way down the pedal. I could be wrong. Same way the stick pops back off of a tom.
