If you're looking to get into Infinity check out their starter set Operation Blackwind: store.corvusbelli.com/en/wargames/infinity/codeone/operation-blackwind
Also good to point out is the full official rules and army builder are free, the army builder links to the website for rules queries, and the terrain is super cheap and durable. The ARO system in the game is amazing. It means that if it is player A's turn and they runs their soldier out into the open and player Bs sniper spots them, player B can shoot at them. It means it's not the boring 'I wait 30m before its my turn again' and gives a realistic, tactical feel to the game.
Glad you're excited about Infinity. I've been collecting Haqqislam models since 2020, but haven't played until this year. A guy is running a super cool 6 mission narrative campaign in my area and it's been a blast finally getting to play.
I had the same thing but I bought the 2 player starter set and slowly introduced people to it. I've now got a decent group of players. It's well worth playing
They announced an animated series at Comicon, I guess that's why. Suddenly appeared in everyones faces and Corvus Belli is trying to capitalize on the thing.
Infinity has a -very- active discord and tabletop simulator scene with monthly beginner escalation leagues as well. Definitely worth a shot if you're considering playing it, even if playing on TTS is of course not as fun as playing in person!
They dropped a trailer the other day so they're suddenly firing off sponsor videos everywhere to build hype and interest. Which, fair enough, Infinity is awesome.
Ty for covering infinity. It seems like they’re really trying to put infinity out there and get it noticed. I’ve always wanted to play, it has the coolest rules I’ve seen in a shoot skirmish game.
I love it so much I have the old and new model!! Got it for how cool it looks (how I've bought all my Infinity miniatures) and am keeping it for how good it is in the game!! 😂🤣😂
CA is super cool. One of the subfactions is all in aggression with Klingon style gorilla-esque brutes while another is all in on stealth which includes invisible models (and in Infinity stealth is played with you using blank tokens to represent where the model is, but without revealing which model it is)
Can't decide what I want to paint first with Infinity but I love that it's enough figures to look cool together but no so many figures that it is going to feel like a chore to paint up.
There's a faction in Infinity you forgot about.... NA-2, the non-aligned armies. While most of these are just a mix of mercenary models and depending on which non-aligned army you choose, some models from other factions, there is also the Japanese Secessionist Army. Japan was under the heel of Yu-Jing where they were treated as second class citizens and cannon fodder, until with the sneaky help from some of the other factions they broke free and established themselves as a new nation. Think a mix of high tech Samurai, Ninjas with stealth tech, street bikers, geisha robots and a couple of guys who look like the Ghost in the Shell characters among other unit types. This is my favourite faction and is probably the most close combat capable.
While I own A LOT (maybe to many) Infinity, my starting point and "main" faction is the Combined Army. They feel like the aliens in X-COM and they have such a wide variety of troops and also designs. They feel proper alien and like an actual combined army, since a typical list draws from every parts, which work perfectly together.
If you read the Blood Angels article on Warhammer community they say that "If you’re wondering where all the red is, don’t worry - there’ll be lots of red in due course (and perhaps a little gold)". So it's pretty much implied that there will be new Sanguinary Guards.

Infinity has got to be my favorite tabletop game, it's so damn good, I'm thrilled to see it everywhere. My favorite factions are Japanese Sectoral Army, JSA, and the US-Ariadna factions. Nomads and Haqq are neat too. Everything in this game are dope.
Tikbalang in Filipino folklore is a giant horse headed man who chills up in mountains and forests, he leads people astray, malevolent but doesn't directly kill. They have disproportionately long legs so too the model looks good!
Nice. I have suggested taking a look at infinity a few times! Glad you posted about them! Its a great game to get into, very intense! Like you said, the models are beautiful! Im an Aleph player myself, but I buy whatever models I like the look of, since infinity allows the use of proxies!
I really like the Yu Jing stuff. It's the idea of mass produced heavy armours that is so cool. Every role can be filled by someone wearing heavy powered suits. Aerial drops, infiltrating camouflage experts, basic line troopers, etc.
Glad you found Infinity - I started with Op Blackwind and it was great. Just know that it is the dialed-down version of the rules called Code One. Full N4 has more to it, but CO is a good place to start. I play Haqqislam and love it...although PanO, O-12, NA2/JSA and Aleph are also faves. It is a great community and a great rule set!
Quick correction, the model you called a Zuyong is actually a Yan Huo with dual missile launchers. The zuyong is the piece with his finger in the air. Regardless, glad to see more people get into this game, been playing for over a decade and it’s ridiculously fun to play.
Honestly, I was always fan of Ariadna. They are most down to the ground faction with aesthetics that I enjoy, being more realistic. They are also faction of absolute goons, total henchmen, nameless troops and it looks great.
I have been looking at Infinity for years. The esthetic just hits so good. It is so hard to narrow down which faction I like the most. I would probably start collecting Pano, Yu Jing, or Nomad. Just really love the powered armor and Tags.
8:00 I think they'll probably do sanguinary guard! Dark Angels got the Inner Circle Companions, and those weren't included in their special boy box. Kroot had the guy on lizard, which wasn't included in their special boy box either. Seems to be the GW pattern right now.
I went Ariadna while my brother went Nomads back in 2016-ish. I heard they discontinued my subfaction (the French one) a while back, but I enjoyed painting them up. The Moblot was my favorite.

They did get discontinued, but very recently the MRRF got a re-release as part of the 'Reinforcements' update to the game Check it out if you'd like to see how some of your models got updated
Yeah, that really put me off Infinity, not gonna lie. After😢 dealing with the frustration of GW letting factions rot or Squatting them, I'm not wasting my time on another game that does the same crap. Even if you can still "technically" play them, it sucks playing a faction that will never get new models or updates ever again. I doubt much😢 effort is put into the rules for factions they don't sell models for anymore, phoned-in basically, or that support will continue forever, either, so eventually the models will become useless anyway. I dunno, I don't wanna get burned. I'm not gonna go buy a box that looks cool only to see them put out some statement about how they're gonna retire that range because it doesn't sell enough or they just can't be bothered anymore.
@@ninneplug I feel the exact same way, and CB retires models at a frequency far greater than GW's, but I will say that the updated rules discontinued models get remain competitive. Iirc, atleast two discontinued sectorials remained in the top 3 or top 5 most competitive factions for several years. So updated rules certainly don't get phoned in, so there is atleast that
Infinity has some of the coolest looking models available. The game is a little hard to get in to, and I’ve never had good luck working with the metal models. But if there were an active group near me I’d probably be playing
Yeah I think the biggest issue with Infinity rules is how front-loaded learning them is. It doesn't really have more rules than something like KT, but it's a bit like learning every special rule for every team in Kill Team as part of the base rules.
@CTCParadox so I just got a beginner box, they have beginner rules and intro games, then there is a game mode called code one with simplified rules, then the full N4 game. Not sure how many people actually play code one though
@@dvc1867 Most people I know use C1 as a stepping stone to N4 (soon to be N5 in October). C1 is useful as a premade simplified version, but if you can find some experienced players they can probably help you jump straight into the full game. A new version is coming in October (Infinity is usually once every 4-5 years), but to be honest not sure how drastic the changes will be.
I've started getting into Infinity via a friend and in anticipation of the new edition coming this month. The thing that I'll add to what has been said in this video is that the Infinity community is pretty amazing, and that the game itself is VERY interactive. There is very little of the "I guess I'll just stand here for an hour while you take your turn" that you get in games like Warhammer.
The gene flaw is the red thirst, the need for blood that become stronger with age. What Lemartes has is the black rage, a curse from sanguinius death that make the slight blood angel precognition malfunction and make them see sanguinius death instead of future vision when it trigger, and sometime it goes bad and it just keep looping. It also has nothing to do with age, it's completely random and tend to happen the night before a battle
I’m thinking they will use blade guard without shield as the base model. Add on special shoulder pads and blood angel chest markings and special helmets. With the Same jump pack as Dante. But who know lol
Glad that Jay is finally mucking about with Infinity. It's not the only good game, but definitely at the top of the mountain, and my personal favorite. More Infinity videos please - maybe a cyberpunk-ish Patreon terrain set? BZ - keep it up.
Infinity is a great game! I like the Morats, big red ape warriors (part of Combined Army), Bakunin (one third of the Nomads), and Tohaa (the only aliens not part of Combined Army).
i recently started with Infinity. First i got the Pan-O starter models from Operation Kaldstrom, and collected a few Svalarheima's Winter Force kits. But after playing a few introductionary games, i heavily got invested in Tunguska Nomads. They are so much fun to play, they can do a lot (hacking, shooting, close combat). After a few months of being into this game, i have to say i highly recommend it if you're looking for a rather complex skirmisher (unlike WarCry etc). It isn't easy to learn, though- and your 40k terrain doesn't work. you might invest in pre-painted mdf buildings etc. i bought a whole table from MicroArtStudio in Poland, they have awesome stuff. Greetings from germany, and have a nice weekend :)
I think you're really like Infinity especially since you come from Malifaux. The way the game keeps both players engaged so the time is is greatest selling point. The minis been a close second and the free rules and functional wiki/army builder bringing up it's third to just push you over the line. The only real downside is this game that having a personal teacher/veteran player REALLY helps I've been playing for over 10 years now and the hundred of minis and 10+ very dense tables of terrain. 🤟
I bought operation Blackwind about a year ago when the Endsong expansion came out. The models are super easy to put together, even in the metal, and they look so good. Highly recommend getting into it right now, as they are releasing updated rules in October with N5
Haha! When you said "What are your favorite factions?" I already wanted to start typing that I've also been eying Infinity for a long while and that I'm torn between Haqqislam and Nomads... then you said exactly that! Great minds think alike... ;)
Got it to infinity recently and I absolutely love the Nomads! They are soooo cool and their sub-factions are fun to imagine how they work together in the world!
Infinity is hands down the best tabletop game I have ever played. I love the kosmoflot sub-faction of Ariadna mainly because of the bear. The bear is cool. Also Margot and Duroc from Equipe mirage 5, they are so cool. But Nomads are my second favourite lol. You can only have 15 minis in your army, but guaranteed if you start up you’ll buy so much more than that 😂
I got Operation Red Veil ages ago, I lean towards the Haqislam factions, but like the Yui Jin and the Nomads too. I need to get my minis painted up and actual play some games.
I'm an ALEPH player and I'm really looking forward to N5 (the new edition) that was just announced. I just love the idea of a bunch of transhumanist/uploaded people/AIs working together to keep the world running and safe. They are a very elite heavy army with a good mix of hard-to-kill pieces (Asuras, Rudra rebot, Post Humans 3&4) and highly specialized units (Dasyus and Nagas for Stealth, Devas for everything from snipers to hackers, and Post Humans 1&2&5 for basically any other specialty model) If you do try ALEPH might I suggest my favorite combo of an ASURA and Myrmidon. Basically, the Asura is this really powerful single unit with a big gun (that's one half sniper rifle one half machine gun) and a visor that can see through smoke, mimetism (active camo effects that make them harder to hit), and other stuff. On her own she's great but the Myrmidon is one of the only ALEPH units to get access to smoke grenades so you can just drop a bunch of smoke to let your Asura walk up the board with immunity (if the other side doesn't also have a similar visor). Another fun thing that really messed up my friends was the SAMEKH rebot which is a little robot spider tank with a Guided Missile Launcher! So if you pair it with something with Forward Observer you can mark targets and drop a missile on them regardless of positioning with a +6 mod. Also, the Garuda Tacbots can be forward observers if you want to drop one of those on your opponent's flank for maximum hilarity. The one downside of ALEPH is the point cost. Their units are EXPENSIVE and are very order hungry so you're going to need to cheap out in some places. Thankfully they have some cheap but weak or literally useless options to help with this. The Dakini tacbots are relatively cheap and can be good at holding chokepoints with a bunch of AROs. And for when you're really Really out of points you can use the Netrods which are literally just little satellite dishes that can't move, attack, or do anything other than providing an order. Also because of the cost and how specialized a lot of ALEPH models tend to be sometimes your strategy can fold if the right piece is killed at an inopportune time but that is true for a lot of strategies in elite heavy armies. Welcome to Infinity and I hope you enjoy it! If you want someone to play against there is a really good (and I think official) Discord channel called "Infinity the Discord" that is super friendly, is a great way to learn, and has a dedicated channel for finding tabletop simulator games.
Pano is cool because of the knights. I also like nomads because the tails of the tags is kinda unique in a fun way. Recently picked up some to start over as I have not played for like 10years.
The Combined Army is essentially an evil AI, the Avatar is one of the aspects of the evil AI (EI), there are currently 3 aspects the EI will take over and run on the field.
I’ve always seen stuff for Infinity, some of their miniatures are so interesting to look at. Not sure I’m completely sold on the lore/universe it’s set in which is what usually gets me into a game. Seeing this video and many others recently definitely temps me more to pick something up for it though
Beyond the miniatures, Infinity is an incredibly fun game to play - it is not "I go, you go", it includes working hidden deployment and troops on the table that you are unsure what they are - and every game seems to have moments where things just become epic. My two cents, I know not everyone likes every game, this game seems to have clicked with my psyche.
Started Infinity with Blackwind (my friend picked Haqqislam and I went with Aleph), it's one of the most complete (and complex sometimes) miniature games out there and I love it! There are actually 2 versions of the game btw! Code One is more streamlined and beginner friendly and N4 is the current, full-fledged version of the game
Might have to pick up Aleph for that super slick colour scheme but Haqqislam definitely draws me ro their playstyle and that new tv show is looking fun!
Ive been into Infinity for quite a few years now, never delved to deep as I do not like painting metal minis! that being said these minis are insanely detailed and cool and I want to get deeper! but now that the company is releasing a fantasy game with plastic minis ill get into that! thats Warcrow :> also I have the Ariadna and the Aleph :>
Infinity is awesome. And a new rules set (N5) is coming out in October, free for download as always and should mostly be balancing and "quality of life" improvements, no massive mechanics changes. This is a great time to jump on board.
Love to see you making an infinity video, even if it's sponsored, maybe we'll see you pick up some models to paint in the future. Infinity is my prefered tabletop game rn
One of the greatest things about infinity is that it's not difficult to play several factions. It's a hell of a lot cheaper than 40k. Currently I have Yu Jing, O-12, Aleph, Combined Army, and Mercs. The good thing about doing subfactions is it can help you save a bit of money. Like getting Steel Phalanx instead of all Aleph.
I looked at Infinity for the first time the other day and now I see you make a video on it! im reluctant because they are metal models, but they look so incredibly cool
The metal models are actually a fun change of pace from GW plastic. Their models are high quality too. Some of the thin swords and guns got bent in shipping, but they bend right back without any snapping. Coming from Admech where little pieces constantly snap off, it's nice working with something so sturdy
Good to see that Corvus Belli is on the warpath with expanded marketing efforts. InfiNity (either N4 or CodeOne) as a game is leaps and bounds a better tactical game than anything GW has ever put out for their main lines. Hopefully the audience for channels like these which live only in the GW echo chamber get a chance to taste the crunchy delights CB has going on...
I love ❤️ that you're going to start in infinity, I'm truly happy because it is my favorite game. Haqqislam is my jam. Looking forward to see what faction capture you're atention. Regards from 🇨🇱 chile
Congratulations ! You are the first 40k commentator who has actually spotted and commented on how Ashtorath's shoulders a totally wrong on every level .
I remember seeing Infinity at the game store back in the 2000s but I was too heavily invested in 40k to want to start another game. It was also newish so I wasn't sure it was going to catch on. I had my Eldar army stolen in 2012 and I never had the space or money to get back into wargaming, but I'm now doing ok financially and am going to have more space soon and I want to get back into miniatures and my partner wants to learn to paint them with me. I was thinking about getting into kill team, but seeing how people don't like second edition and Corvus Belli is really stepping up their promotion of infinity, I think I will finally take the plunge and get some Infinity models later this year.
I heard from a gameplay perspective infinity is better than just about everything GW offers. I'm in it for the painting but if I had more nerdy mates I'd prob get into infinity. How does an entire army get stolen btw?
For the EI, infinity is as easy as move-move, move -shoot, move-action. Great game, only need ten models.. right... that is all you need but you want them all.
PLEASE get the blood angels box and paint it when they come out! I really wanna see some conversions and choices you would make to fix some of these awkward models!
Just finished my little, firstborn Lemartes. Im happy with him. The skull shouldpad looks way better then the new and the helmet as well. But on the lower legs of the new model looks like he is caged in his armor that pretty cool.
You're not kidding when you say you will spend a lot on these. Just checked their website and the prices are eye wateringly high. Looks like they saw comments about GWs prices and thought "hold my beer". I will grant you they look good.
Like with GW, you have to look at other online retailers to get good prices. There's also collection packs out now for each faction that are a good discount for all the models they come with
I've got a painting book by Angel Giraldez that I picked up largely because I loved the look of the models in it and it was such a different approach from the heavily weathered tanks and dirty infantry I painted previously. I do have an Infinity miniature sitting in my drawer waiting for me to get around to it.

Iirc, atleast two discontinued sectorials remained in the top 3 or top 5 most competitive factions for several years. So updated rules certainly don't get phoned in, so there is atleast that
There has been some really nice resculpts for Merovingia lately. You should check them out!
I have to disagree with the old Lemartes sculpt not suiting him. Man had so much willpower I think it matched well
After Coteaz, this new sculpts are another sign 40k is losing of its « grim dark »
Oh dont worry, Sanguinary Guard are getting the refresh treatment...just at 3 per box and possibly losing the wings. Possibly.
I’m thinking they will use blade guard without shield as the base model. Add on special shoulder pads and blood angel chest markings and special helmets. With the Same jump pack as Dante. But who know lol
@@davidring681i think they'll make the wings as cheap as possible so everyone will have to kitbash some AoS wings
@aaabbb-zc7sx plenty to choose from in that regard...also ample 3d printing options
Honestly, the rest of the Blood Angels reveals have been really good so far. I expect Sanguinary Guard are gonna be amazing!
Glad that Jay is finally mucking about with Infinity. It's not the only good game, but definitely at the top of the mountain, and my personal favorite. More Infinity videos please - maybe a cyberpunk-ish Patreon terrain set? BZ - keep it up.
I actually used some infinity models for my knight pilots.
Infinity is a great game! I like the Morats, big red ape warriors (part of Combined Army), Bakunin (one third of the Nomads), and Tohaa (the only aliens not part of Combined Army).
@@boskvonlivingdreams4269 Morats = Orks
i recently started with Infinity.
Infinity feels like one off show games where if your friends are Into it it's REALLY fun. Defs need to introduce my friends to this game.
I bought operation Blackwind about a year ago when the Endsong expansion came out. The models are super easy to put together, even in the metal, and they look so good. Highly recommend getting into it right now, as they are releasing updated rules in October with N5
MORATS !!!!!
Have you Heard there is new plastic kits coming for Quar? Fidwog and Esky. Planned release is later this year.
You can only have 15 minis in your army, but guaranteed if you start up you’ll buy so much more than that 😂
Yu Jing has some of my favorite Infinity minis! Guijia! Shang-Ji!
Pano's Knights are cool! Nomads have awesome aesthetic in most of the minis!
I got Operation Red Veil ages ago, I lean towards the Haqislam factions, but like the Yui Jin and the Nomads too.
I need to get my minis painted up and actual play some games.
Been an Infinity fan for a few years now, super glad to see them getting more coverage lately!
Great video!
Maybe next time you could mention the Morats aka Red Orks.
Nomad Bakunin latest models got me in
I'm an ALEPH player and I'm really looking forward to N5 (the new edition) that was just announced. I just love the idea of a bunch of transhumanist/uploaded people/AIs working together to keep the world running and safe. They are a very elite heavy army with a good mix of hard-to-kill pieces (Asuras, Rudra rebot, Post Humans 3&4) and highly specialized units (Dasyus and Nagas for Stealth, Devas for everything from snipers to hackers, and Post Humans 1&2&5 for basically any other specialty model)
If you do try ALEPH might I suggest my favorite combo of an ASURA and Myrmidon.
The Combined Army is essentially an evil AI, the Avatar is one of the aspects of the evil AI (EI), there are currently 3 aspects the EI will take over and run on the field.
lets go, hyped to see your paint schemes for infinty
Man those are some pretty models jay... It feels like we need painting videos of these minis in the future
Code One is more streamlined and beginner friendly and N4 is the current, full-fledged version of the game
yeah cant wait to see the infinity models getting painted. Im rly diggin the astethics of the Ariadna faction.
god damn this totally got me into infinity.... Jay what have you done. (All of their paint jobs are also fantastic)
Might have to pick up Aleph for that super slick colour scheme but Haqqislam definitely draws me ro their playstyle and that new tv show is looking fun!
I feel like you can't go wrong on what faction you pick in Infinity. To me, they're all amazing.
Ive been into Infinity for quite a few years now, never delved to deep as I do not like painting metal minis!
that being said these minis are insanely detailed and cool and I want to get deeper! but now that the company is releasing a fantasy game with plastic minis ill get into that! thats Warcrow :>
also I have the Ariadna and the Aleph :>
Been playing infinity for years. It’s the best!! I encourage everyone to enjoy both!
I've never played before but I'm hard team Haaqislam. I just love their philosophy and their stealthy style.
I have bought 2 army boxes and the operation blackwind.
Its such a good game.
My week isn't complete until I hear a new way to say "how"
PLEASE get the blood angels box and paint it when they come out!
There's also collection packs out now for each faction that are a good discount for all the models they come with
You also only need about a 10th the number of minis for a playable army.
I'm a heavy infantry dude, so I play invincibles... all the yu jing armored guys... guijia, the best-looking tag in the game
I've got a painting book by Angel Giraldez that I picked up largely because I loved the look of the models in it and it was such a different approach from the heavily weathered tanks and dirty infantry I painted previously. I do have an Infinity miniature sitting in my drawer waiting for me to get around to it.
Cheering for you EonsOfBattle, from another YTuber
Mechs are why I started T'au, these look so cool.
