    The sculptor for the Green Knight, Michael Perry, lost his arm while cleaning the inside of a historical reinactment cannon - it literally blew it off to the elbow.
    Legends say that the Green Knight was his first sculpt since the accident. But this is incorrect:
    Green Knight is released in White Dwarf issue 206 and Michael Perry talks about it a bit on pg 81 "Altogether it took about three and a half weeks to sculpt. It was the last thing I did before my accident, so obviously it's quite special because of that."
    Michael continued to sculpt despite his accident. He has since operated Perry Miniatures company with his brother. They're massive historical geeks, and make great minis. Check them out!

    • @kenupton4084
      @kenupton4084 28 วันที่ผ่านมา +15

      @@newtybotpoorly worded. He was clearing the barrel of a loaded cannon. It's one of the steps in loading and firing a cannon. That's what the big brush you'll see a guy holding near a cannon is for.
      Cannons are dangerous. There's injuries all the time in reenactments.

    With the dirty down moss you wanna really get a stick in there to dislodge all the chunks and shake it up loads while you can hear the mixing ball actually mixing once its free of the solids in the bottom. It also helps to put it in your pocket for a while before using it to heat it up a bit as it applies better when warm but not hot

    Ah, the Green Knight. I repainted him a few months ago, after 20-something years of having him in my Bretonnian army. I put some glow in the dark paint, and he now glows, giving this ethereal vibe.
