Very nice method. Yogurt is fermented naturally and contains wild yeast so if we ferment it further by keeping it in a warm place for 10 - 12 hours we don't need to use any other leavening agent. We use such sour yogurt for many traditional dishes in India, including some types of flat breads.
Thanks for sharing this video. I am going to make this as I have yogurt in the fridge, and was given some honey! And using yogurt and egg is a great way to add protein and calcium. As to saving food wastage, and precious ingredients, you could maybe use a spatula to scrape out the bowls, and make clean up easier too!
I'm making the first recipe right now! My dough is rising. I was ecstatic that my dough was soft, smooth and elastic, just like Helly's! I'll come back and update after the final results. So far, I'm happy!
@@wordsleuth992 It's like a cup plus a little extra, translating from grams to cups is a little inaccurate. For the yogurt, I had some yogurt around that I didn't like, it was reduced fat I think and honey flavored. It worked really well in the recipe. The sourness helped the bread's overall result. When I make it again, I'm going to use a more favorite full fat yogurt, I think it would be even better! Good luck!
If you are not entirely celiac and just a little gluten intolerant the yogurt should make this bread much easier to digest. I'm going to try it this weekend.

This is a simple good recipe, we vegetarians can replace the egg with 1-2 tablespoons yogurt depending on the size of the egg.
