New motorcycle riders: Learn from the mistakes I made on first solo ride

New motorcycle riders know how it is - going out for that first solo ride, trying to remember everything you learned in your motorcycle basic rider course while navigating traffic, potholes, and all the other things you have two worry about on a motorcycle!
About an hour after getting my motorcycle endorsement, I headed out for my first solo motorcycle ride. I wasn't going far, but it was my first time alone on the road with my motorcycle. And having finished the MSF course the very same day, I was definitely a beginner motorcycle rider!
I made several mistakes - fortunately none of them were serious. Watch the video as I highlight the mistakes I made as a new motorcycle rider.
I'm sure some of these are common mistakes for a new motorcycle rider (anyone else honk their horn on accident?) so hopefully there's something to be learned! I know I definitely learned, and it's great to see improvement in my motorcycle riding skills over time.

Thank you - I am improving. And I've learned to power walk out of the driveway - it feels like cheating but at least I don't stall it that way:)
