Sorry you haven't been well, your family were probably more worried than you, try slowing down a bit- not easy when you are self employed I know but you have a loyal fan base who will stay with you should your content reduce.
My daughter is a dentist and currently works in a hospital doing complicated full blown surgery and emergency work, so I know after things she's told me, how ill folk get with dodgy teef! I never realised just how skilled, difficult and complicated dentistry is, neither did even her boyfriend who's a GP. Sadly she sees a lot of people from poor areas that say they can't afford a dentist and bring really poorly children in for emergency treatment. Anyway, good to see you back, firing on all cylinders, albeit at half throttle for now! My daughter says avoid fizzy, sugary drinks like the plague, don't smoke unless you're on fire, floss and brush thoroughly and get your gob booked in for a regular service, you know all too well what happens to folk that neglect maintenance, it'll cost you more in the long run! 😮
Could you ask your daughter why we can't find a nhs dentist anymore ? I don't get a discount on my taxes, but I can't find a dentist taking on NHS patients, my pre covid dentist said ,because I didn't go during covid (bit hard when sheltering due to health issues) iam no longer on his list. No idea if he has stopped taking a retainer from my name coming off his list ? I applaud your daughter doing what she does, but going to a dentist just isn't as easy as writing it.
Glad your ok Lee! Sepsis killed my mother in law....it will be 3 years ago on December the 21st, came out of nowhere just like you and she was dead 4 days later at only 57 years old, you've dodged a bullet mate! Hope you're back to your normal self soon!
glad youre gettin better lee, sepsis can be fatal, a fella at the end of my road retired at 65, died a few weeks later of sepsis :-/ so you was very lucky.love the videos, its so nice to see euch a decent car dealer 🙂
You are all that's important just now Lee, don't worry about the channel content etc, we're going nowhere, you just concentrate on getting back to 100% cos as you know Sepsis is not a mild thing even when its a milder version of it someone is inflicted with. Take it easy mate, let others take the strain for a while.
Wow! Mate. You have been very lucky. Glad your feeling a bit better. Don’t change too much mate. Please don’t go down the “shorts” road. Rants sound good. Everyone loves a rant.
Quite a difficult week for you, amazing that a tooth abscess can do that to you, wishing you a speedy recovery , give yourself a full MOT before going to full speed.
Hey, best of luck, hope you’re doing okay. I’m 40, I suffer from panic attacks as I have PTSD (veteran) I’ve hit the floor a few times thinking I’m having a heart attack, it’s bloody terrifying, so I can empathise with you. Stay safe!
really glad your feeling better. well done fighting your corner against the receptionist trying to just push you off to the dentist. nice to have you back.
Lee, take your time to fully recover. Don't worry about youtube content, remember you are doing a great job for one man unlike High Peak or Shifting Metal who have a team behind them!!
I’ve got an astravan sportive 60 plate that’s been nothing but a pleasure to own, almost looks as mint as your car there 👍 Nice to hear a positive NHS story too, it only seems to get slagged off these days.
Lee my best friend also neglected his teeth and had a similar event recently. Glad you're both on the mend. He ended up at an emergency private dentist.
I had sepsis once. Luckily my doctor recognised the symptoms and phoned the hospital ahead to get me a bed. To cut it short I spent 4 days in hospital having intravenous antibiotics. Each syringe was the size of a smarties tube. I am 70yrs old and I can't remember any of this when I was younger. We never had sepsis on this scale in the 60s, 70s and 80s. Just wonder where it's come from
Bloody hell, nearly killed off by a nasher, you couldn’t make it up, glad you are on the mend don’t know what I would do without your videos when I am enjoying a glass of wine after work…best wishes Lee.
Crikey, very scary. So glad your wife was there to phone for help and you are now recovering. Sounds like it was the Aston Barclay Gate Man on the reception desk at the hospital though😅
Sorry to hear, glad you’re feeling better and luckily caught it early!! I had a similar experience..felt crappy thought it was just a chest infection and run down tired etc..but it was serious pneumonia, I was in hospital for a week and then 8-10 weeks rest/recovery. Scary stuff especially when they said if you hadn’t come to hospital you might not been here now.. Look after yourself, loving your videos. All the best
Hi Lee, Thank you for letting us know about your illness, sepsis scares the hell out of me, I'm glad you are on the road to recovery, I really admire your TH-cam posts and look forward to them in the future.
Hi Lee hope you feel better soon - there seems a lot of illness going around as everyone including me got ill the day after flying back from Tenerife luckily it only lasted about a week and feeling better now
Look after yourself mate. TH-cam viewers will still be here if you have to take time off. You put out good honest content and that's what brings the viewers in the long term.
Great to see you back sorry to hear your news I know its not easy but you really need to look after your health that's more important than car I know we all need to work but need a good balance
Glad you are on the mend Lee. I had similar last year. Tonsillitis turned into an abscess and took over the 2 top rear teeth, could barely talk, eat or drink or breathe for 5 days in agony before going to a walk in centre. I thought I would have got better stupidly. Drove to the walk in centre and the lady said "how are you even stood in front of me" lol. Drove straight to A&E and had the roof of my mouth sliced to clear it. Awful experience. Peaceful night in the hospital though on a IV 🤣
Hi Lee. Good to see you on your feet. Glad you were sorted quickly. Frightening how swiftly these things take hold of your body. Take it easy…. On content I do enjoy the auction videos and the classic car videos. Dave Birmingham.
Just called my dentist, I've had a bad tooth for over 1 year, it grows a white head on the side of my gum every few weeks that pops, It's time for it to go, glad I follow your channel :)
Good to hear you got admitted quickly Lee and are on the mend, i had sepsis 8 yrs ago was very ill in hospital 6 weeks and nearly lost a leg, was taken ill very quick and my daughter took me in as we are 20 miles from the nearest hospital.
Thanks for taking the time to explain in detail your experience, as the more people are aware the better. Its amazing how little people realise how quickly a simple abscess can develop into a major infection.
Glad to see you back on the channel Lee but like many others have said, slow down if you need to. I'm hooked on your channel if you did 1 vid or 10 vids a week ❤
Hope you're on the mend Lee. I had the same 8 years ago which started off with a UTI. Ended up seriously ill I'm hospital and in for 2 weeks. Left hospital with 7 weeks of antibiotics. Was shaking violently when admitted. Burst into tears when the consultant asked me how I felt if they released me. Health comes first.
Sorry you haven't been well, your family were probably more worried than you, try slowing down a bit- not easy when you are self employed I know but you have a loyal fan base who will stay with you should your content reduce.
