Thank you so much mate, all I wanted to know was how the compression thing worked and you've made my day. I had been searching for hrs. Bloody legend! Cheers from Australia
Thank you for your very useful video!. I have a 2013 RAM 2500 SLT 6.7 (4th gen), already have the smarty touch installed to my OBD 2 connector about 5 years ago (no extra modeule), also bought the EGT probe but did'nt installed it yet. Any big difference in the install with that 3rd gen ?
How much of the probe need to be exposed to give proper readings? Mine only stucks in 1inch out of the 2 inches because it hits my collector? Should i be fine
I have a smarty touch like this video and my sensor stopped working. It just has a blue hour glass. How can I test the sensor? Or do I have to buy another one?

No, pretty much the same. Still want to get the port in the middle of the manifold.
Do you know the pin out on the 4 pin connector going to the smarty? Which one is minus thermocouple and which is plus thermocouple?
What are the best things to monitor on mm3 ? I just installed one, good video by the way! I’m getting ready to install the same egt sensor.

Yes, as long as the probe isn’t bottomed out touching the manifold you should be fine.

Depending on its age, it could be under warranty. If you reach out to smartyresource.com they can help you with a possible warranty.
If I already have a thermocouple in my exhaust can I just purchase the sensor module?
Chances are the one you currently have isn’t compatible with the Smarty.
I'm running the same setup. Now for some reason my egt temp is stuck on 3700 degrees.
Everything hooked up properly and the egt doesn’t show up on the smarty
Did you figure this out
