I have just bought naturopedic innerspring crib mattress with 252 coils. It is very firm in comparison to both of mattresses in the video. I have read that firmness is very important for spine development of newborn babies
Mmh I don't think so. In poor countries, they sleep on normal parents mattresses and still grow up well

it’s not recommended to use a mattress cover or sheet with the newton baby mattress because then you lose the breathable benefits, unless you purchase muslin sheets or their breathable mattress cover.
Exactly. They only recently started sharing this information. At the time I made the video, they were marketing the mattress but there was no information about what to use for sheets.

Spend $300 on a mattress just spend the $50 extra n get the waterproof one and if spending that just spend the extra $30 for the sheets that come with it that way you have all u need and it’s still breathable smh
But of course if you put a mattress pad and a cover sheet is not going to be breathable, I hope the mattress pad was not a waterproof one because it would make this review even worst..... The mattress is designed so you don't need to put any of that so it can keep it's breathability.... At least that's what my common sense tells me and I understood from their website, if you want to use all that extra stuff you are definitely better off keeping the cheap mattress.... 🤦🏽♀️
Of course, that makes sense. The only problem is that I don't know ANY parent who wouldn't use at least a sheet on their crib mattress. It would be a lot to have to wash that zip off cover at least once a week.
They sell breathable sheets just for that mattress on their website If you really want a sheet.... and with the discounts you basically get it for free... Like I did....

@@alyssaloring I actually don't put a cover on this baby mattress it was designed so that you wouldn't have to. But like the other person said you can buy a mattress cover that is also breathable. The way I saw it was I would rather have a breathable safe mattress even if I had to wash it everytime my baby would have an accident on it, which doesn't happen often.
@@jessicabagadion7162 you can use the Newton mattress without a sheet or cover, like I mention in the video, but then you have to either time your wash cycles perfectly or purchase another mattress cover ($80).
Just bought a tempurpedic for 500 , never personal prefence when it comes to babies sleep health
