@@rishabhanand4973 mixing up arrow charge + bounce timing on bomb sounds so troll and will legitimately make opponents doubt where is safe from the bomb lol.
I love how they not only made Link a high tier for the first time in the series, but they somehow made all three Links actually feel distinct from one another. Link really got amazing treatment in Ultimate.
Timmy TV well cause the old bomb actually still has some advantages which were clear from the staft while the full extend of the advantages of the new bomb couldn‘t be figured out before the launch so up to that point Link mains had no clue about all the possibilities the new bomb has and only knew about the disadvantages.

Just flat out amazing explanations, editing, and always bringing new things to push the bomb meta a bit further. Great job. Can we expect more episodes of this? :)
If the Link discord provides him with enough material to validate a new episode beeing made then probably yes. I think an in-depth guide about all the different bomb ledgetrap setups and their pros/cons would be amazing or an in-depth bombcombo guide with z-drop combos, jab lock/platform lock setups and bomb loops all included. I think we have enough material to make those episodes some day but after two Link videos in quick succession Izaw probably wants to cover some other characters first. One day though.....
I'm a link main and honestly I take your videos to heart because my playing style is really similar to yours (your obviously better). I truly think you're the best link main ever
I love links bomb, It's so amazing seeing all the things its capable of. Cant wait to see izaw master it all 😍. End up on yeetsmash every tournoment for some cool combo
10:07 I don't think it's efficient to wait to pull out the bomb until you're drifting forward. If you're sent off stage without a jump, I found it best to prioritize pulling out the bomb as soon as possible. The sooner you have the bomb out, the sooner Link will hold it to his chest, so you can Z-drop it and detonate. You can drift forward in the midst of all this and make it work. That's how I bomb recover anyway. :0
My friends complained I played Ike too much, so I picked up link and now they hate my bombs... thank you, Izaw. This video will only help me annoy them more, so I can play Ike against them again.
Bruh my link looks completely amateurish compared to all this. Thanks for the tips with the bomb, I didn’t know the launch angles varied even more if it was bouncing or not
So amazing. As a long time Link main since 64, it's a lot to digest. Definitely will have to re-watch this a few times. Thank you so much! This is my favorite Link so far.
I've been playing smash for 2 months and have greatly improved thanks to your videos and guides. I've been going off stage for kills too. Thanks again!
This is all so sick. I loved learning Link from Smash 4 because of you but this is just so much cooler. I wish Link got more credit for stuff like this
I've been a long time Link main and experimenting with bomb tech is my greatest experience by far. I figured out lots of things and you are going over all of it and more in great detail. Great job in these videos
Your videos make me so happy to be a link main. I really believe he has some of the most potential out of any character in the game, and is so fun to play as.
I love this video for providing such a thorough technical analysis of a character I enjoy playing. I hate it for forcing me to seriously question whether or not I have the IQ or technical skill to actually be effective with him in bracket.
@IzawSmash Another top notch video! One thing I wanted to add: If you have your double jump, you can easily Z-Drop the bomb for a generous number of frames while he is flipping around with it. This will cause the bomb to land behind Link for an easy recovery. Credit to FrenchTutor for this one.
All those cool combos and I'm thinking to myself "I'm not going to pull these off. Holy shit." Truly, your videos are full of information and honestly, that's very good. You don't just highlight what you can do, you also highlight what your opponent can do and how to be ready for it. Also, thank you. You take a lot of time doing these and they are always good in quality. Keep up the good work and I'm sure you're probably going to just get better xD

Hey Izaw, A great and thorough video, as always. Great work! Do you have anyone doing any audio post production on your videos? I only ask because I work at an audio post studio and would love to help out. Thanks again for the dope content!
One of my fav mixups not in vid. Toss bomb down at feet on ground then wait a couple of frames and forward tilt. If you dash back forward tilt your tip will hit as bomb comes up and it will fly high
Seeing item play combos with zdrop/downthrow bomb into aerials really got me interested in Link even more than Smash4, and seeing these launch angles made me see another side of Link that I can't really imagine how creative I'd need to be playing him. Playing greninja in smash4 made me feel like I was being creative in some way with some combos and covering options after some drag down up-air situations, but Link blows that all out of the water and I can't wait to get at least 'pretty decent' with my bomb because I don't think it's ever possible to even master it.
Scizzor: Link is suck in ult cause he's not smash4 link Izaw: Hold my down B Great video man. I love your new content. This is what I've been looking for !
You should make a video of bomb tech for all characters. It would be hilarious to see all the insane combos characters could do. Just imagine duck hunt doing a bomb combo.
Actually, reflecting projectiles with electroshock arm is often pretty bad for dark pit. If it reflects a projectile, it will not hit the enemy unless they are very close to the projectile. They will often still be able to punish you because of the high endlag. For aerial electroshocks it's literally worthless, reflected projectiles are sent upwards
FYI for anyone who is trying to do attacks while holding an item (as mentioned in this video), that got removed in the latest patch (even though it wasn't in the patch notes).

Jokes aside, what made them say that again? I think people used to think that detonation would take too long or something?
nousername191
Old bomb advantages:
- the old bomb is a better out of shield option than the new bomb which leads to lots of combos and consistent kill confirms.
- The old bomb also allows Link to go deeper with reverse edgeguards since it will also blow him up after the up b where as with the new bomb you have to blow yourself up before the up b.
- Old bomb also covers more space with the explosion and enables you to move more freely when it detonates while with the new bomb you‘re stuck in the detonation animation
- The new bomb also loses to pretty much every hitbox which makes it much worse to cover your landing whereas the old bomb would often explode when the opponent hits it so you’d at least get a trade for trying to land with it
- the new „throw the bomb against the wall, then detonate it to launch yourself on stage“- getup Izaw showed in this video isn‘t as good as Links bomb ledgegetup was in Smash 4. it was much quicker and you weren‘t stuck in hitstun at all since you‘d cancel it by techin on the stagewall
- old bomb had really cool and actually practical footstool combos
