    Is there a way to create this effect on your own? Like a website or program to individually enable and disable channels? Seeing some of these songs makes me want to experiment with this more on my own.

      Some snes emulators allow you extract the music as a .spc file. Then you use an .spc player app that allows you to enable and disable channels as you play it.

      Not really they're just inferior compressed versions of the original's soundtrack, sometimes they skip notes and sounds entirely due to the lack of enough sound channels
