For most of my life I have worked out of a driveway or a tiny dark basement, and when I finally built a shop at my house I had no idea that in just a couple years I would have over 30 project vehicles and need way more room to store them. I never thought that I would be able to build my dream shop but I always wanted but after a lot of saving money and planning we made it happen. What does a shop this big cost to build? Josh, for as hard as you work brother, it's been coming. You seriously need a shop that size. Your family should understand how much of a blessing all of you are. Josh.. You made a comment in this video that is waaaaay more powerful than you probably realize. When you said," I'd rather my kids be playing out here in the woods than on a phone in my living room." you said it ALL. Now... we don't all have access to "woods", but any outside neighborhood time used to be good for us. I think it still is. But some think it's getting too dangerous for kids to go down the street on their bikes. I taught both of my girls to ride a bike and they NEVER wanted to go riding anywhere. I lived on my bike when I was a kid. Times are changing. I don't like the trajectory.

You are doing what is basically called a continuous poor which allows for all the concrete to be uniformly laid and it will cure, or dry at the same rate. As I understand it this improves the strength of the concrete. Great day!

We just had a shop built and foam blown in and the concern from everyone was that it’s flammable. Did some research and it’s true. The insulation person also told us to at least have 8 foot of covering to ensure against fire if we were to use a torch or weld in the building. We had 8 foot of sheet rock put in with a metal trim. I didn’t want my hubby catching our new shop on fire with those embers. Your shop looks great just might want to research for yourself. Cheers
Yes very dangerous needs a thermal barrier by code. People just insulate their buildings but they don’t realize the danger. Will burn almost instantly and the smoke is extremely toxic.

A year later I built my barn/shop combo & tbh , it was even more rewarding ..
I had a wood working room , repair shop , and storage that I spent most of my free time.
The kids spent most of their time in the barn on 4-H & then FFA projects..

200K is a lot of money too spend, for sure, but it def looks like you got a great job done for the money spent. TN costs are def more reasonable then a lot of other parts of the country where that building would be at least twice that price. Reality is all y'all have worked really hard to make this happen and you deserve every bit of it. There's not a better channel on this crazy TH-cam thing that deserves the success more then the Sleeperdude family. The appreciation you express, and you have, for all this channel has been able to provide is heartwarming to say the least. It seems pretty reasonable that you are able to receive as much as you give. Mike the neighbor might well have a servant's heart, but he's far from the only one on this channel that does. Bless all y'alls heart for sharing this project with us, and appreciating the success y'all have been able to attain over the last year or so. Well done!!
My husband and I just had our shop built. It's a 30 by 60 so he can do his paint and body work. The old shop was a 2 bay and barely big enough to get a small car in so he had turn work down if it wouldn't fit in the old shop. So congratulations to you guys because y'all deserve it

Built my 50x60 shop . Took ten truckloads. Did no release cuts . It’s been 13 years now and not one crack . They said I would have a crack for each truckload. So there’s that myth put to rest . Drive way has relief cuts and it’s cracked in every direction. Great shop and great work crew you got . It’s all worth it when it’s said and done . Congrats to y’all!!

Man, that is a LOT of mud to pour in one day!! I helped my Grandfather pour a concrete floor in his barn back in the 1970's. 3 days of prep work plus a full day from sun up to after dark to pour and finish *110 yards* of 6" deep, reinforced concrete. We didn't have nearly as many guys on concrete day, as they have here.😮

Just a Idea? Get a 220 Heat/Air Unit for the office & Heat on Demand For Hot Water, Put some wall light,s in your Paint Room ,no shadows , Need a steel beam to pull motors ,need two lifts, Rely like the progress you,r making ,

A few thoughts. As an OCD viewer, I'm all in on Mom's organization campaign. Get 10 trash cans. Go, team Mom! Also, think about putting a light above the 2 entry doors. I'd suggest making one or two sections in the loft (Ralphie is right. It's a loft) railing hinged like a gate. In the future, a small forklift and a pallet or 2 would make things easier to load or unload parts and stuff.
