I love the shedir hat pattern. I also made Rafa's hat by Joji. Both free patterns! I love the look of 1x1 twisted rib so I did that for Rafa's hat. Such a quick knit. I used Lion Brand's mandala ombre and it was so soft and squishy. I donate hats to the chemo clinic my husband went to in 2022.

So I finally started last week and have 17 squares already. I’m determined to knit at least 1-2 squares each evening and if I can stay on track be done by Christmas. I just wrote down your details for number of squares and Icord details. I’m wondering if a single crochet edge around outside edge first would help in picking up stitches since I’m not slipping first stitch. Making notes to self 😂 Your harrowing experience of driving in storms brought back memories. It is absolutely terrifying and glad you only had minor damage.

I started a Jelly Roll blanket, not much progress, maybe I should rip it out and with the mitered square. @@carlaknitspodcast3392 I didn’t like the jelly roll, maybe it’s the yarn choice. We drove 10 hours on Wednesday, slept overnight in Stateline Nevada and finished up this morning, 3 hours. I did get the legs on two socks done, working them tandem. Tomorrow I need to get back into my routine and maybe put in the heels. See you soon 🧶🧶🧶
I do have an older one, natures walk blanket by cherry heart, finished, abandoned, because I don’t want to do the border… it was fun to work on all the squares. I prefer to do mandala type blankets. I have all the yarn to do Sophie’s universe and I have the huge book that has the one pattern in it!

I really do not like crocheting borders on blankets - I find that it takes me so long to get just the right amount of stitches. The Sophie's universe blanket looks AMAZING - that would be quite the undertaking!!
I have just purchased thebirch and moss shawl pattern. Hopefully, I can start and finish by the end of June for a quick trip to Canberra, Australia it will cold 38:36
Thanks for the inspiration to make a hat this weekend! I just downloaded the Sea Glass Sweater pattern, which included a hat pattern as well. You know I want to use my stash, and I think the Sea Glass sweater will be just the thing to help with that! The hat will give me a better idea if I want to spend time on a sweater.

Thanks for the inspiration to make a hat this weekend! I just downloaded the Sea Glass Sweater pattern, which included a hat pattern as well. You know I want to use my stash, and I think the Sea Glass sweater will be just the thing to help with that! The hat will give me a better idea if I want to spend time on a sweater.
