I've been enjoying the game for what it is, there is some annoying things about it but I will say that after 8-10 years of development and this is what they have to show for it seems pretty bad. Been wanting a new RS like game and this is close but skills just feel rather bland on top of the fact how much xp you need for just a lvl 32 skill cause that was the first grind I did was for the bank spell. Was a simple grind but at first I just did oak logs cause I only lost 3 copper per log but the xp was pretty slow then at 22 did rugged pine and it was around 50k-60k xp an hour which still felt slow then at 30 switched to rugged hickory which was slighter faster but still took around 10-12 hours for just lvl 32 in a skill and thats with even buying the items needed from the shop but the increase of xp per level is more drastic than RS and these skills go to level 500 like wtf Food/cooking only being for money why? Like who thought of that? Why not have food actually heal would have made sense either you cook it and sell it or use it. Most of the potions are pointless, healing, fear, maybe xp pots are useful but in my opinion only if you are gaining a lot of xp but 5% xp when you are getting 30k xp an hour is trash not to mention you would need 30 of them to last an hour dont see the use. Most of the skills just feel like all they do is just generate money to be used to train more skills to get more money or xp, all the skills feel very similar and have no uniqueness to them. TLDR - Game feels slapped together and bland
@@OmniSoundAI i think the leveling speed is fine, just everyone is trying to rush content right now which makes it feel worse. Especially once you start making a lot of gold and upgrading tools to boost xp rates. Cooking is absolutely useless and waste of time. Same with fishing, both gathering skills, woodcutting and mining all have no use because you can buy the materials while still profiting and saving the time not having to level those skills and collect all the resources by hand. I'm at 15gold now after spending 7gold on upgrading a few tools (mainly handcuffs) and my forage and gather skills COMBINED are level 32. My cooking is level 17. the free2play episodes are fun to draw you in, but anyone sticking there and not getting to ep4 asap is just hindering themselves. Get to Ep4, get merchant level to 100+ (only takes a couple days) then enjoy having lots of money and 3-4x more profit doing LW. In a sense the game is absolutely pay2win because you literally make 10x more money than anything in ep1 and 2 right from level 0 merchant, and it only goes up and up the higher you skill. I can now make about 1g/hour and i'm hoping that goes up again soon. (Currently level 114 merchant)
@@Wibbly-Wobbly i would hardly call a 6$ membership fee with no MTX or other financial mechanics a pay2win game, what you are describing is a pretty normal relationship between paid and free content, i would hope its slightly more lucrative to engage in members activies, and cooking is still more money per hour than almost all of the episode 3 professions anyway so it kind of works both ways
