  • I'll Be Needing a Shimano Rod To Showcase an Entry Level Shimano Spinning Reel!
I was informed that i'll be making an introduction video of Shimano's FX 4000FC Spinning Reel for an online account.Since i started using Shimano roughly 9yr ago i'd thought this shouldn't be a problem. Well the advancements & technology has grown enough to force me to take a double look. But once exposed i found this to be quite familiar. For the most part max drag & bearing counts has increased. So has the price!
I can still read the manufacturing code & understand the technologies used. Weight reduction of units is still a goal (at least for most). Glad to see rods are getting lighter, thinner & stronger while reels are still the basis of whose king!

Shimano makes some really good rods, and i prefer their spinning reels over other brands. I have two Solara rods, 5'6" and 6'6" and they're basically intro level fiberglass rods for freshwater. That Scimitar looks like a great deal.

It's definately good for salt water usage. And inexpensive as well.

Right now my 2 most used rods are Guide Select Pro's & SST's. For GSP i use the 9'9" the most in Med. For SST i use either my 10'6" M travel rod or my 9'6" ML. Now i just ordered off Amazon wholesale a SST at 9'9" that's H rated up to 3oz. For heavy shoreline jigging. @@BRRRT241
