Some actors will always be the same character to me. For example, Keanu Reeves will always be "Ted" in Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. I'm a pro musician who plays a lot of high end weddings in New England (I'm from Boston). We usually have to load in through the service elevators in the expensive hotels. One day I'm loading in at the Four Seasons and I'm holding the elevator door open telling my drummer directions to the correct ballroom for the event. In walks Denzel! I say I'm sorry to him for holding up the elevator and he politely says "no worries, go ahead" and I give my drummer lengthy instructions on how to find the room we are playing. Denzel patiently waits and I'm like (I'm holding up Denzel F'n Washington to give my drummer directions!). Lol. He was very gracious and I realized he took the service elevators to remain anonymous and not be accosted by people. True story. Next time I'll tell you about how I played a wedding and the actor who played Gustavo Fring from Breaking bad was next to me taking pictures. lol. Another true story.

The Film "Cry Freedom" is where, in my opinion he should have collected his first Oscar Award. He played the role of Steve Biko in that film. He gave a tour-de-force performance.
