Thanks for the video. Picked this monitor up directly from BenQ last week for £109.99 in the UK with free delivery. Really enjoying it for Rainbow Six Siege! The difference from 60 FPS to 120 FPS is INSANE!
@@DaGuyyy281 I use Astro A40’s mostly but I’ve played once or twice with sound on FIFA. It’s not bad for a monitor at all. Really enjoying it! World of difference!
how does the low fps feels? I mean, in my current 144hz monitor, it looks super choppy during camera panning, it got some sort of juddering so I can’t enjoy 60fps anymore in any game
I recently purchased two BenQ Mobiuz EX240 monitors, which were delivered via Amazon. Before making the purchase, I reviewed multiple sources, including your official TH-cam video. The product description highlights the following features: - Response Time: 1ms - Refresh Rate: 165Hz - Display Screen Type: IPS Full HD However, I did not find these details in the product box. How I can verify such details from my end asap so that if needed I can take further step to return it.?
I can’t recall exactly and I would recommend looking up a setup guide or reaching out to tech support. Also mentioning just in case, you’ll want to be sure you got the EX240 and not the EX240N. They’re similar but to my understanding the EX240N is the lesser of the two with I think a different panel and some missing features.
I notice you mention (but don't show) that the stand lets you adjust rotation. Can this monitor be rotated 90 degrees for portrait/vertical mode? Thanks!
The not including a display port cable really irks me. I just unboxed the monitor. It's really nice. But the 2nd HDMI port on my PC does not work. Meaning I can't have my 2nd monitor anymore. Shame.
Nice video!! Just a little question: Does this monitor performs “smooth” and not “choppy” when you are playing at 60fps? Because I have a VA 144hz Viotek monitor, and in 60fps locked games like Skyrim or Fallout 4, it looks so choppy, it feels like 30fps or even less.
Very good review. I bought this monitor recently. Can you tell me how to connect and light up the rear strip of the monitor via RGB? I've tried several times but I can't. Thanks.
I don’t believe the EX240 has built in RGB, unless mine does and I just never knew. The higher end models like the EX3210R and EX2710U I have also reviewed do have RGB and it just works out of the box
It’s very disappointing that none of the console specific review segments EVER mention Switch capabilities for gaming monitors…for example the input lag at 60Hz and appropriate overdrive setting to use at that refresh rate.
From looking at the GL 2480 it looks like it’s pretty outdated in comparison. It also uses a TN panel which isn’t ideal because of the viewing angles. If you’re just playing on ps4 the EX240 is absolutely the way to go. The EX240 also has a 165hz refresh rate vs the 75hz on the GL2480. I’m not sure if ps4 can take advantage of the higher refresh rate but at the very least you’re future proofing a bit if you ever get a ps5 or PC
It's a good monitor but it would be better if the color accuracy is more Gigabyte G24F2 has 95 % Dci p3 and higher Adobe rgb in lower price BenQ is a awesome brand for monitors but it's high end monitor and midrange monitor are worth their price not the entry levels So I would pick gigabyte G24F2 or LG ultragear over this one
I haven’t had any problems that I’ve noticed. I’m able to run 1080p 120fps on any games that support it. This monitor would not support VRR on ps5 because that requires HDMI 2.1 and this only has HDMI 2.0. Really tho I haven’t had any complaints using this thing as far as PS5 goes.
I have it hooked up to a series S. Whenever I hold the home button. The screen shuts off for a few seconds. Then comes back on. Any reason why 🤔 please help 😢
It is likely changing the refresh rate from whatever the game is running to the Xbox UI. I've had the same thing happen on my PS5. Its annoying, but normal. The monitor has to basically soft reboot for a sec to show the new refresh rate
@@Portly I figured it out. I had my Xbox set to automatic hdr. Once I disabled it. It stopped rebooting. The hdr on this monitor sucks. I dont recommend it. Calibrating the settings to your preference is awesome on this monitor. I love it.
@@poximano1160 it was the auto HDR on the Xbox. I disabled it. Everything is running perfect. If you’re thinking about getting this monitor. Get it. It won’t disappoint. Only thing is, the power cable is oddly short. Buy an extension before hand.
It's basically a light sensor that gradually adjusts the screen's brightness automatically over time so you aren't burning your eyeballs if the sun sets and you're still using the monitor in the dark... and vice versa.😅
@@unknown_640 Yes. It’s accessible in the monitor’s own settings (using the monitor buttons and little joystick). I’m pretty sure it’s turned off by default.👍
1440p for the G5 right? If so I have heard 1440p can be finicky with consoles. But in my experience 1440p has looked great with my PS5 and Series S. Personally I am still using the EX240 for everything and loving it.
No, this is a 1080p monitor. You would need a 4k monitor like the EX2710U. I have a review on that too. th-cam.com/video/UsWLIwbGqos/w-d-xo.htmlsi=GOVfizyvRKgP1nps

It’s been very smooth at lower fps games. I played Spider-Man 2 in Graphics Mode at 40fps and even that looked super smooth
